The story of why I moved to the northern parts of Sweden
I grew up in a gorgeous Caribbean island thinking I could never live in the cold. I live in NYC but now for a year or so I’ve been dreaming with Swedish mountains and lakes. I never thought I would desire so much to be immersed in it. Hopefully I’ll be able to go soon. Thank you for gifting us with a piece of your beautiful land.
It’s not Switzerland you’re talking about? ;) Sweden has some mountains sure but only in the northern parts.

Hi there, I came across your channel by first seeing Christine's channel when I was looking for how to live in a wooden cabin in Sweden. I live in Germany and have my own Istangram site for photography, but have been thinking of living a different lifestyle in order to be also more creative with my photography and am comtemplating of moving either to Sweden or Norway. I'm retired so I won't be a burden to any tax payer, but I have to somehow convince my wife about this idea as I do not want to do it alone. I am very inspired by all your videos, the positiveness you show, eventhough life behind the scene is surely not that comfort zone that is shown. . I also have a CZcams channel where I post my short hiking videos in B&W, the quality has to drastically improve because I do everything with GoPro or Apple iPhone, but I like them. Anyway, thanks for creating your channel, it's one of the best and inspiring an old man like me has seen. I love them.

Damn. This was beautifully done ✔ I have a dream too. It's so scary to do on your own. My plan was to travel after I quit my job...now, in this world, I am fast forwarding to the next plan. Homesteading, creating content, and living as simply as I can.
The best from both worlds...nature and digital. Love it. I left my job as a video editor in the city too.

Jag började titta på din film när du la ut den, men var stressad och okoncentrerad och tryckte på paus. Idag hade jag precis den tiden och det lugnet jag ville ha för att kunna "ta in" din film till 100% och jag älskar den! Blir alldeles lycklig i själen av att se den, den gör inte längtan till det ännu enklare mindre om man säger så. Fantastiskt övergång från taklampa till sovrummet också, sånt där som ger det där lilla extra utöver intressant story och fina klipp!
Klokt att titta på filmen när du kände att du hade tid och rätt energi, det betyder mycket för mig ska du veta 💗 Åh va kul att du gillade den övergången, blir så glad när tiden man lägger ner på detaljer uppskattas 😊

Great video, as a Landscape gardener myself I grow fruit and vegetables for me and my family and customers too,, we are lucky to own a farm, and have been self sufficient for over 10 years,, And to get away from the hussle and noise,, You will have no problems getting subscribers, none at all with truly amazing work like this. 👌👍

Vilken fin video! Jag gråter nästan när jag kollar på den eftersom att jag så gärna vill göra en liknande resa som dig, men det känns just nu omöjligt. Jag mår inte bra i det stadsliv jag nu lever, och vill komma ut på landet. Men till det behövs dessvärre pengar, för att köpa ett hus/torp. Just nu känns det som en evighet till dess, hur mycket jag än snålar in på saker för att spara, spara och spara. Men någon dag ska det bli min tur. Jag tycker verkligen du samt det liv du förespråkar är inspirerande!

Jag känner igen det där, jag hade samma i kroppen när jag bodde i Stockholm, men siktar du på ett enkel torp eller stuga behöver det verkligen inte kosta mycket, speciellt här i norr. Snart är det din tur!

Jag tänker som Kalle att det behöver inte vara så dyrt alls. Jag har sett hus/fritidshus gå för 50 - 200 tusen som ändå haft både vatten och el indraget, vilket inte Kalle i videon hade. Med lån från banken blir det en månadslön att spara ihop själv. Sen bör man nog ha sparat lite mer för att kunna renovera en del direkt från start.
@ du har helt rätt Per, det behöver verkligen inte vara dyrt alls. Det finns gott om fina och lediga ödehus här som ropar efter nya ägare 😊 när man väl är här behöver man inte hellre dra in så mycket pengar och jobbet behöver inte hamna lika mycket i fokus om man nu inte vill det 😊

I was brought up in a small village without running water and central heating and I can't imagine to move somewhere nowhere in the middle of forests. Life in a big city is amazing. I will never understand people who exchange big cities like Stockholm for quiet remote places in the woods.

Just nu har du kanske inte något du kan ta med dig eller några nya idéer, men jag känner mig helt säker på att du bär på något inom dig som du är riktigt passionerad inom! Om du börjar lägga mer tid på det så kommer du tillslut att bli så bra på det att andra kommer vilja betala för det du erbjuder. På det sättet har du skapat dig en inkomst av något du älskar 😊 Jag påstår inte att det kommer att vara lätt, men som jag säger i slutet av filmen, det är värt att kämpa för.
Sen kan du också tänka på att du inte behöver en heltidstjänst för att leva ett enkelt liv, drar du ner på dina utgifter kommer du inte behöva dra in lika mycket pengar varje månad 😊

Great video! Loved to watch it :) can i ask you one single question? How did you manage to buy such a beautiful cabin with not having a lot of money? In one of your other videos you talked about having 300 dollars on your banc account and then working for a few months in some sports shops.. but could you save that much money in such a short time to buy a whole cabin? How did you do that. :( You are living my absolute dream life & i hope you will have a very very great time there :)

Summer cabins are very common yes.
Well no...The Life in big city it's a very stresfull but to live alone without friends and family is too hard. Anti-social life can not be happy. Sweden is nice country but people seems to be very anti-social..thats sad! I was exchange student in Jonkoping, Sweden and I missing that place! Not too small and not too big city, but making friends in Sweden is a difficult task.
