Amazing how 13/14 or whatever is remembered and mentioned, but somehow no one mentions that 20/21, at least in these type of conversations. It looks like he’ll retire at atletico, considering how long he’s been there , and how often he renews no matter what.
Surely clubs aren’t coming in for him because they know it’s almost impossible to pry him away. He’s been at the club for more than 12 years.
What he's achieved at atletico with a comparatively small budget doesn't get the credit it deserves. Might be because its seen as defensive

Always have wanted him at Chelsea, an absolute bastard. I think a lot of chelsea fans- match going at least- also very used to that siege mentality, counter attacking style. Do feel like if he ever is to manage in the prem it’ll be with us.

@@TheBake1986 simeone shown himself to still be able to compete in the present day. he can play some defensive football but it still works. not sure the same can be said of jose anymore

Surely it can't be right that Atletico have a smaller budget than Dortmund? Didn't they buy Joao Felix for €100m + a few years ago? And what is Dortmund's record transfer fee? Considerably less I would think.
