A lot of us are saying to bring back the Attractions and leave them alone! Id love to see Dallin become Disney CEO but that probably would mean giving up Offhand Disney which would be hard and not cool
I hate how true this has become. You don't need to be a millionaire, it's not a 1% thing, but the price has at least doubled as well as many addon purchase experiences rather than just merch and the medium price trinket and highend collectible sections. Many restaurants are only for exceptional prices and reserved seats. (Food was always overpriced, but $100+ for every guest is over-the-top. ) Ride themed stores and merchandise are also really on their way out. Only the movies or Mickey matter.

Im so sad that Atlantis didnt perform well enough. I love the movie and im pretty sure a journey through Atlantis with light blue glowing Highlights would been magical
Back in the old days when Disney actually cared about their customers now they overcharge at the gate they close Attractions with no warning and let you stand in line for hours and hours with rides that are built for you to do just that, I will never return to Disneyland no matter what they call it.
Ah, the People Mover, my sister’s favorite ride. I liked the Haunted Mansion, but my sister prides herself on always being different. Of course, we’ve since found out many, many folks loved this ride, so I guess she wasn’t all that weird.
Unfortunately, according to Offhand Disney, they broke the track making it into Rocket Rods. They would have to put a lot of money into it and do a complete overhaul. They should have never messed with it in the first place.
Not only should they definitely bring back the PeopleMover at Disneyland, but Imagineers should re-theme Tomorrowland to a retro-futuristic look as far as buildings, furniture, vehicles, lighting, etc. This way they could portray a nostalgic aestetic of tomorrow. Not as the way it ended in reality, but the way we used to imagine it in the past - and perhaps how it could be - in an alternate version of today.
I Bet Anyone will know but during America sings. when The Stage turns the middle closes both walls and Re opens at the same time But unfortunatly One employee got crushed and which might be the reason it shutdown.
That is a bit of a bare bones retelling of the incident and not completly true if I remeber correctly. If I remeber correctly the poor Person stood on the wrong side when the theatere rotated, bur if you are really interested, defunctland has a good video on the ride and really well explains the incident
I remember Mission to Mars. I had never been so bored with an attraction before. I actually asked my mom to never take me on it again and she agreed cause she hated it too.
If i had the ability to warp reality, I'll bring back 20k leagues under the sea and I'll also ask the owner permission for me to swim in the lagoon with the giant squid, the sea serpent, and them beautiful mermaids, as well as bringing them all to life, and lastly bring walt disney himself along with other people back to life, cause life itself is extremely fun and we deserve happiness as extraordinary human beings.
Agreed, unfortunately by the time I went to Disney they closed 20,000 leagues under the sea 2 months before I got there,I just got the 40th anversery on blu ray ,such a classic movie.
Dallin from Offhand Disney can agree with the peoplemover! America Sings was a good and kinda creepy because someone told the story on how the person died on the attraction making it sinister! RIP to Deborah!
Alas, the People Mover track was altered for Rocket Rods, and the track suffered structural damage from the stress. It's not as simple as just putting cars back on the track. The track would have to be completely torn down and rebuilt. Secondly, current OSHA and safety requirements means the tracks wouldn't even be able to be made the same (think Alice's outdoor track refurb). The track would have to be twice as wide with safety rails for emergency evacuations, losing its sleek, streamlined appearance. This would all be too much work and too costly for Disney to invest in.
Yes! Glad someone said this. Safety guidelines have MAJORLY changed and just thinking about in-show exits without guardrails makes me panic. I can’t imagine everything else we may not know of.
Honestly, I'm glad they got rid of their circus. Wild animals belong in the wild, untouched by humans. Not doing unnatural cruelty for human entertainment.

*Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Ride Modification* I haven't seen anyone mention it, but Big Thunder Mountain was made artificially bumpy to feel like a wooden rollercoaster, with the safety and durability of being metal. Just a few years ago, the ride was modified to greatly decrease the wooden coaster feel. While I understand some rollercoasters being bumpy and uncomfortable, the way big thunder mountain was designed it never jerked people around or slammed anybody. It was a pleasant ride even when members of my family had a migraine; that's how well the effect was implemented. I've never seen any of these ride or Disney channels mention the revision to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad to make it less like a wooden coaster and I'd love to hear more about it. Would you, please, be able to provide any more information on the ride modification? [ It was a huge shame. I love the ride; it's not quite as much fun. It's almost like just slowing down a rollercoaster. Yeah, you're kind of going to the same places, but it's never as exciting as intended experience. ]

We're not censoring anything, we actually never cover the accident because it is in poor taste. But that is definitely not the reason why the attraction closed. Actually the accident happened just 9 days after America Sings opened, and the attraction continued opened for almost 15 years after it.

The video is fake and also it was decided after the accident that it was that cast members fault so the accident had nothing to do with the closure of the Attraction
Fun fact the peoplemover and america sings 1 teen and 1 adult died in less than a decade from each other 1. Sorry for the long comment there but I hope to atleast have a heart comment it would be nice if I can get pinned for this information / replies and likes from other viewers.
I hate the submarine ride. I have major submechanophobia and claustrophobia. I went to the auction where they had the sea serpent thing and even just seeing that above water scared me. The nemo version is a bit better but I still don't like it. I never went on the other version since it was already gone but I'm glad it is.
While I've never been to Disneyland, one of the most memorable parts of my first trip to Disney World was going on the Captain Nemo subs (is that the same thing as submarine voyage)? Also I've seen videos of America Sings and in all honesty, I'm surprised it lasted as long after the Centennial as it did. I mean it has a charm but it feels dated. I don't know if it's the older songs or burl Ives or what.

Offhand disney is thankful that the people mover was mentioned
It’s a shame how some of these could be successful today, until they were changed into other rides that didn’t go so well.
