I'll never get over the stupidity of making Murphy breath real fire and not lining Murphy's skin with fire resistant material. Her death could've been totally preventable.
This was completely preventable and they were lucky there wasn’t widespread damage, injuries, or even deaths. I hope this was a wake up call.
@@racheltheehermit7314 for what? This was operating since , 93. At least the fire part, before it was a cloth puppet no problems
@@alucard2010 It’s never good to have real fire at any event that draws a crowd. I didn’t think it would burn that much, honestly. Two of the pyrotechnic dragons went up in close proximity to crowds. Get rid of them.
I don’t know how to convince people to stop doing these things. Maybe the Israeli government made these to oppress innocent Palestinian citizens. Will that make the dangerous actual fire-spewing dragons less popular?
@@racheltheehermit7314 big paranoid scaredy cat
@@racheltheehermit7314 better not cook because ya know fire. Better not fill up your car with gas because ya know fire 😯🔥
When Murphy went up in flames, I was terrified Disney would take this chance to shut down the entire show. With all of their money issues going on during this time, I figured they were going to take the opportunity to save themselves the cost of running the show as a whole. I'm glad they didn't!
For real life
I’m glad we’ll still have the show, but they did use it as an excuse to not have a dragon at all now 😭
People would riot if they closed fantasmic
@@KingOfGaymes I'd gladly lead the charge on that one lol
The thing is the Disney parks never had money issues, it's the rest of Disney as a company that has issues.
12:54 I love how there’s just two nuns chilling at Disneyland 🤣🤣🤣that might be the most unexpected thing I’ve ever seen
aren't those nuns from the movie "sister act" ?? the one on our left is kathy najimi (chubby nun) from the movie
They cooked with that though
I worked on star tours in Disneyland Paris and one day a group of about 25 came in, so I gave them a whole cabin to themselves and for some reason we thought it was so funny watching them on the onboard cctv moving about back and forth, left and right all in sync 😂
The Luigi tire effect worked like 3 or 4 weeks ago.
It worked for me the second week of January too.
Possible correction to the pet cemetery story:
Like most stories surrounding the Haunted Mansion, there are dozens of versions of each one. The story I know for the pet cemetery is that the original one mostly used mass-produced statues alongside little plaques with the epitaphs written on them. Of course, they bought doubles and used the doubles to create a second pet cemetery behind the mansion where you could barely see it. Later on they needed to build an exhaust vent (or something like that I don't remember) above the exit ramp so they disguised it as a tomb for an elephant as it would be clearly visible if you were looking towards the exit. That second pet cemetery still stands to this day and is likely to survive the renovation as it explains the exit being a mausoleum.

It's fascinating to see what all has been abandoned or otherwise lost in the parks. . . .And Lilly Belle is quite adorable.
Imagine if they took every abandoned set AND animatronics.. TO MAKE A WHOLE RIDE O.O
Tht would be neat.
Museum/history/animatronic ride
@@kaitlando636oh no they won’t move🙄
Great idea!
I remember the cannons working at ROTR! It was so cool! Hopefully they'll be able to fix it! It really helps you feel like you're part of the battle. Also the assignment cards!! I remember that!! It was fun to trade them with others. And yes, the sporks, good times
For real life.
I was on Pirates one time when that Jack Sparrow was completely immobile except for his eyes which kept looking around. Really, really creepy.
BRO WHEN I FIRST SAW A VIDEO OF SNOW WHITE’S DARK RIDE(few years back) I CRIED. AND IVE BEEN A HUGE HORROR FAN AND DONT GET SCARED EASILY 😭
Shoulda rode WDW's as a 6 yr old in the 80s..lol it's what STARTED me ❤ing horror 💀😎
@@cherylmaden5989haha exactly the same with me when I was about 7/8, I absolutely loved it, spent the whole day saying “have an Apple dearie” and now I love horror films too.
I don’t get why people were so traumatised by it. Then I went to work at Disneyland Paris and was surprised how different it was, a lot tamer but kids would still come off it crying.
11:40 the cannons aren't broken. They're disabled. One of the reasons the ride kept having downtimes was due to intrusion faults caused by the cannons getting too close to the ride vehicles or out of position. Someone decided it was better to just disable them then to keep having downtimes.
I saw the broken Indie snake in December 2022. That entire ride was in a really sorry state before the refurb. Sadly the backing-up effect in the boulder room still seemed to be broken as of my visit at the end of January 2023. I hope it isn't shut down for good... it was such an incredible effect!
The park as a whole seemed a little rough around the edges when I went in January. I saw so many burnt-out lightbulbs on Main Street, and a lot of the paint on various railings was chipped and worn. I hope they can tidy up soon.
Update: I went to Indiana Jones back in early May and I can confirm the Jeep backing up effect was fixed. Glad it was too. Crazy how Disneyland’s Jeep ride works but DisneyWorld (Dinosaur)? I don’t know what to say.
I love looking for abandoned effects on rides they’re just so interesting
Today 4 Years ago, I first met your channel, Totally worth it, You guys are the Best!!!
4:22 Chadtronic music! I know its royalty free music anyone can use, but I automatically connect the dots to him. Great video by the way!
In Pirates, when you go through the part where they took away the waterfall, they brought back the two pirates talking through that part, which I always missed when they changed the ride to add the movie elements in 06. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the changing pirate, it seriously adds so much to the ride by that single change!
I still don't trust that the queen popping out is gone from snow white and stress myself out at that little alcove when I sit on the left 😂😭😭 I trust you know which one lol
Disney may have abandoned the A-E ticket system, but let’s be honest, they brought it back with Genie+ and paid lightning lanes in a lamer, more expensive iteration
19:54 *Davy Jones and Blackbeard
I beg to differ, that was like my favorite part of the ride when it was still there. I always hoped to go through it when Davy Jones was there, it was a weird but satisfying feeling to slowly go through that fog waterfall
The old pet cemetery was still there up until the recent closure for renovation. You were still able to see it depending if the CM allowed you to or not.
A forgotten effect I think about often is one at WDW; it's the Tomorrowland News robot. He was a talking Robot outside the queue for the Peoplemover, and he had newspapers inside him. He's been removed now, and was silent for years. :(
Similar to the passes for Smuggler’s Run, they used to hand out boarding passes for Dumbo in the form of a black, wooden feather in order to count out the next boarding group. This was about 20 years ago
The Evil Queen used to open the curtains and peer down at you when you entered Snow White's Scary Adventures! This was in WDW.
My family and I went out through a side door to return to my wife's scooter and yes, the pet cemetery was still present. I can't say if it was demolished for the new renovation to make room for the gift shop to be added.
I’m surprised you didn’t mention the doors in Indiana Jones! This show effect was incredible and one day I hope it can be repaired instead of being cast aside.
If Juan was that popular, you would think they could have just moved him somewhere else (you can give him a whole new spiel if you need to) instead of getting rid of him! Poor bird.
I was disappointed that you didn’t mention the dangling tables and the rafters moving as you get to second to last scene of Pirates. I wish they would fix that.
Part 2 😉
@@fastpassfacts Nice! 👍🏻
For real life.
Murphy was the saddest disaster. Such a marvelous animatronic lost. I hope she comes back. ❤
Great work. Have a good day 😊!
One of our Disney traditions is every time we go to Disney World,we make sure to ride Small World. It was my great grandmother's favorite ride so we ride it in her honor.
Looking through my grandma's stuff when she moved in with us I found several of the ticket books ❤
I miss the old scary Snow White!! I brought my partner to Disney recently and I was so disappointed to see it was made a lot less scary. It was my fave! 🪦💔👑
If you ever make it to Tokyo, they kept their version scary 👻
The first Mater animatronic you encounter in Radiator Spring Racers is broken--it used to move backwards into a bush as Mater talked to you. Now it just sits stationary, and then after you pass the bush, a different Mater animatronic takes its place and continues talking to you while it moves backwards...
Good grief 😮 it's the hag for me ❤❤❤ I love being able to see versions I never got to experience. This video was *chefs kiss*
I remember in Disneyland Paris how the haunted mansion ride had the mirrors at the end not working for as long as I can remember.
Some were supposed to display a ghost behind you and stuff but it was only in the last year or two where I finally saw it for what felt like the first time.
Hey, I got good news about the Murphy animatronic, it is planned to return in 2025 at Disneyland, this was confirmed by a cast member in 2023 when I was there and I asked about Murphy and the Fantasmic show is planning on coming back late this year
I did see the mirror effect the last time I was on Radiator Springs Racers back in 2019 before the pandemic.
One comment is plenty.
Please do more of this topic, that is my favorite topics
I thought it was April 22nd when Murphy went down?! I was there that day celebrating a birthday! Hahaha
Loved The Video
DUDE I LOVE VIDEOS LIKE THIS
Is it possible you can do one for Disneyland Paris? There's a few lost rides and attractions there scattered about including the Windmill Ride
Question 🙋♀️ please 🙏, when’s the video about the history, evolution and changes of Mickey’s Toontown at Disneyland gonna arrive on CZcams Fastpass Facts?
The date Murphy went up in flames was April, not March. I should know, it was my birthday. I had planned on going to the park that day but couldn't get the time off the next day so I could recover (and drive back to my home state). She was an amazing Animatronic, I hope they can use her "failures" to create something amazing.
I have a personal tradition of always making sure I ride Winnie the Pooh when I visit a Disney Park, cuz it was the first ride I ever went on when I was a little bean
I miss spooky snow white. I need more spooky at disney.
Some retired attractions in Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom like A Nillion Dollar Bunny from Splash Mountain and some floats destroyed from SpectroMagic.
I do recall that Herbie the Love Bug was part of a movie tour in the late 80s and caught on fire.
5:23 That booth had a second life as the Kodak Photo Booth after it was moved from it's original location in Fantasyland.
I love how there's three different random nuns walking around in the archive footage, lol.
Another broken effect was Dog in a boat. He sat there, sitting, waiting for someone to fix him. But they never did. 😞
I hate to be “that guy”, but there were two errors in this video:
1. On Rise of The Resistance, the guys that capture you are called The First Order, not The New Order.
2. The second face on the mist waterfall in Pirates of The Caribbean wasn’t Barbossa, it was Black Beard.
Again, I hate to nitpick, but those two mistakes irked me a bit, seeing as they’re two of my favorite rides. I swear I’m not trying to be rude, and I really hope people don’t think I’m trying to be a jerk, but I thought you should know about the mistakes for future reference.
I went on ROTR last week and the canons were on for me!
The Apple 🍎! Hands down! That is my number one objection to the reimagining! That and I’ve never been a big fan of seeing Snow White in what amounts to a coffin. But otherwise beautiful done!
I do disagree with you regarding the toon town Roger Rabbit Fountain! It’s nice to find a place to sit and relax, but experience tells me that’s going to turn into a huge dumping ground. And there will be 1 less water feature in the park, which it always needs! Plus campers can be a turn off. If people start getting territorial about the space they’re holding for their family, people will just wanna leave the space. Maybe if it were assigned? Still, they look creepy with all those personal blankets spread out.
If they wanna do it right and put back the fountain and set up a curvy Toon Town style benches in a design around the space, so people could eat if they brought in food or if they bought a Mickey Basket!
For real life.
Omg I used to come out of that ride as a kid bawling 😭
5:32 as of February 19th (the last time I rode the ride) that affect has been working
We have been closely monitoring this effect, and each time we checked - the most recent being less than a week ago - the effect was not functioning. We believe you when you say that it was working, but many people have reported this issue to us. It might be partially broken
Went 2 weeks ago and Luigi's wheel shop effect is working! They fixed it last month
I just saw the Luigi's tire effect for the first time on our trip last week. It was very cool and unexpected. I'm pretty sure that one is back, at least for now.
Yes they fixed it!!!
My mom and I got to see the pet cemetery such a cool thing to experience, so sad it’s gone 😭
THANK YOU! I *knew* the cobra in the Indiana Jones ride moved, and lunged at riders, but people kept telling me i must have misremembered. I feel so vindicated.
I love how the last segment of the video is titled hatbox ghost lmao😂
I liked Toontown cause it was a place were i could go inside and play and everything was my height. Manly for younger kids But for me im 4 foot 7 inches so it was fun to go to and play
The small pet cemetery on the side of the Disneyland HM wasn't in view of most guests because it was originally put there just to fill space along the walkway used by guests in a wheelchair. Because of the stairs to the front door, wheelchair access was around the far side of the porch, and a simple pet cemetery was added over there just so it wasn't a blank space and bare wall. Eventually, more people found out about the 'secret area', which prompted them to ask cast members to see it. Eventually that got too disruptive so an improved version was installed in the main queue. Given the whole queue area has been torn out to be redone, I'm sure the ADA ramp is different now too.
Also, that Jack Sparrow animatronic in Pirates has always been janky. His jaw movement still isn't good, and his right hand with the cup in it not only doesn't move like a real person at all, but it's constantly tearing free of the wardrobe leaving a bare mechanical joint visible. This usually results in a cast member hastily tacking the shirt back into place, which never looks natural. They need to fix it so there's a proper wrist and attach the shirt well enough that it stops tearing free but also doesn't look weirdly glued to his hand....
Was a kid when I started watching now I’m an adult, I love these videos
I adore the snow white ride it’s horrific. I love it.
Yo! That snow white ride looked awesome just was in the wrong place!
this actually would not be the first time the animatronic maleficent would go up in flames as a smaller scaled version in one of Disney's parade shows also caught fire.
I experienced the Luigi tire effect at the OBB this past October!
Did they ever have the Pirate Barker Bird at DIsneyland? I remember sitting outside PotC at the Magic Kingdom to make sure we caught his whole spiel before getting in line for the ride.
What's worse about the Snow White attraction at Magic Kingdom is that it wasn't closed to make way for the mine train... it was closed and replaced by the princess meet & greet pavilion :(
I’d really like one of these for Disneyland Paris!
It's funny, I watched this on the way back from our trip to Disneyland in February/March 2024, and they had just closed and reopened RSR and the effect was working again. Not WELL (the tires didn't quite line up with the vehicle) but it was running!
Also, I'm so glad I got to see the cannons in Rise of the Resistance. That area now feels off on the ride. like you're "weaving" there for no reason.
Yeah I was wondering why the cannons in Rise of the Resistance weren't moving. Disney should find another way to have Juan the Barker Bird at the Tiki Room, and Disney, PLEASE KEEP THE TIKIS!
I have seen the cannons working! It's almost scary that you think that they actually might crush you.
Yes! Bring back eye on the globe!!
👆
can part 2 i love Lost Abandoned or Broken ❤
i rly miss the exchanted Tiki room. I always love birds and animotfonics so it was both of my favorite things combined. If i have a choice to bring an old building it would be rhe Tiki room
I have never experienced Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at either Disneyland or Walt Disney World yet.
Best part of waiting in line for Indy was Sallah, turned my whole family into Sallah truthers (I agree, though, they should bring back the whole video. It ruins the lore without it)
FOUND SECRET LILLY BELLE AT 30 SECONDS (I absolutely adore her design)
Okay so I went on rise of the resistance opening week and i went back a week ago and noticed the cannons stopped moving. I thought it had never happened and I was gaslighting myself into thinking they never moved thanks for the clarification 😭🙏
Some of the older footage you showed of Snow White was from the WDW version that opened in 1971. Just FYI. It was before you mentioned MK.
The Mickey and Roger fountains are still at Tokyo Disneyland's Toontown.
My biggest flex is i was one of the first kids to ride cars because my grandma was one of the project people for California adventure and they opened the cars ride to staff and their family
When I went as a kid they had Aberham Lincoln that would stand up and give a speech
that dragon was awesome
The tire effect on the Cars ride was working when I was there Feb 23rd 2024! I was so surprised because it's the only time I've ever seen it work. So maybe they fixed it?
that's great news!
Cannons were working in early February for my trip.
it sucks to see murphy catch on fire. was there any info about how long it would take to fix him, or if they were just going to retire him due to how bad the damage was??
Really seems inexcusable for a company making so much money and the extreme cost of going to have anything down and not working. At this point with so many years behind them they should be made to be easily removed or hidden for repairs.
I recently just went on Cars like a month ago, and the wheels effect was working but only a bit? They had the curtains open when you arrived, closed while the wheels went on, and then for the reveal of the new wheels they opened the curtains, but the curtain closed before the car moved forward. Basically just showing the white tires for a quick peek, but not functioning. So its still SEMI working sometimes?
I definitely thought the auction scene needed a retheme, however I kinda hate looking at it whenever I go by because nothing is in the right place
I think they were just trying to make it more english or port royal esc from the movie
But location wise and looking at the rest of the town nobody would be dressed as the characters are in the auction scene and the items eg. The giant long clock would not be in that location in the first place
Y'all crazy if you think looking at stroller parking is better than that awesome roger fountain. And last time I was in pirate's the stinky foot pirate was missing.
I haven’t seen the first Walt Disney World version of Snow White’s Scary Adventures, because I wasn’t born until 1991.
I have to wonder if these rides are really “broken” or shut down for legal reasons or safety concerns like the cannons.
I noticed that projection on top of Tom Sawyer's Island has been removed. I hope that this projection effect might return when Fantasmic returns in May 24, 2024.
Secret Lilly Belle
Now I want my heart 🥺😂
It took me a few times to get it it's like literally 1 or 2 frames. Always makes me think back to fight club 😂
Every trip we start our trip on small world
Regarding radiator springs ride, the effect was fixed when I went on 2/23/24
Correction.

That's Davy Jones and Blackbeard, not Barbossa.
