- How does the new version of Tuxmat car mats hold up after 1 year, including winter? Are my Kia EV6 carpets still like new? How do you clean the new Tuxmats? I show you the answers to these questions in this video. Spoiler… the results are amazing!
NOTE: Back in 2021 a viewer in Europe, Pau Iglesias, wanted some Tuxmats but could not get them there. He found and bought Spartan Liners, and at the time they were the same as Tuxmats. Hey Andre, finally got my EV6 a couple of weeks ago after over a one year wait, and absolutely love it, can't get Tuxmats here, but an Aussie company produces something similar so got some of those. Love your videos and always look forward to the next one, you have a great presentation style and love the bloopers too !! 🤠👍😎
Thank you very much and congratulations on getting your EV6. In the description of the video I mentioned an alternative for European viewers, suggested by someone in Europe, the Spartan Liners. Is that what you got? Are they even available in Australia?
@@EV-olution There were a few options, but shipping was expensive due to weight and dimensions. There's a company here called Rubbertree they make mats for everything. They look to be very similar material to yours, but don't have the ridges to retain liquid. Overall they look great and easy to wash like yours 👍

Thanks for the review. I was actually looking into the 3D mats, but they don't have mats for my car. I stumbled upon tuxmats, and I have to say, the new design is a lot better.
I just watched your first review of these mats and my concern was with the heelpad. It's good to see they hold up well. Although I do wish they had a replpaceable heelpad.

I am glad I could help. The heel pad is not a problem at all. My original Tuxmats were used for almost 3 years, all year round, and they were still perfect when I sold the car. I am very confident that these will do just as well, if not better. Thanks for watching my videos, I really appreciate it.
I did the same clean-up operation our two Kona EVs recently and the Tuxmats (v2 also) were just like new. The carped underneath is also looking perfectly fine.

Have had the tuxmats for my ID-4. Love the mats, keeps the carpet clean and dry. This is my second winter with them. Each time I clean them, I certainly dont have the easy cleaning job like you are showing. I have to scrub them with a cleaner, spray them down, let them dry (in the house) and once dry, the dirt is still there. After three times minimum they do not look this this at all. I don't let them get so dirty that it is impossible to clean. Normal wear, frustrating cleaning.
I suggest a cleaning product like I use. I use Hertel Plus, a biodegradeable cleaner and a scrub brush. They look like new once cleaned.

Great review of the tux matts, I have the old version in my Bolt but are better than the Weather Tech matts in my BMW i3.

Hi Andre. Brilliant vid. I just got a kia e niro 2021 in the uk. i can't find a uk site or somewhere that delivers in the u.k PLEASE HELP or advise i see all the carpet or rubber ones everywhere and the look like gararbage i need proper mats like yours. Thanks.
Thank you very much. Unfortunately Tuxmat does not ship outside of North America. However, back in 2021 another viewer in Europe told me that he found Spartan Liners, which were the same. I don't know if that is still the case, but you may want to check them out.

Are these mats slippery at all getting into the car? Look like they might be when cleaned like husk or weathertech
As I mention in this video, they are non-slip due to the texture on them, and better than the last version that was already fairly non-slip.

Andre just curious about the cargo mat. If you have items back there (small coolers, boxes etc. ) is it tacky enough to prevent the items from sliding around?
My impression is that there is no major difference between being on the trunk floor versus the trunk liner. Things will slide around regardless.
@@EV-olution Thanks. I have used Smartliner in cargo areas on other vehicles and will stick with that for this area. Don't want things sliding around.
@@ToddBrussnot a problem. I just had a look at the Smartliner trunk liner on their website and it looks to be similar in terms of how items would slide around if you turn a corner hard enough. I am curious, is it made of sticky rubber or something?
@@EV-olution Not really sticky. The Smartliner does have some texture to it that prevents slippage. Obviously if you take a turn hard things will move.
@@ToddBruss ok, that sounds pretty much like the Tuxmat liner. If you are happy with yours then there is no real need to change.

Not André mais j'avais mon EV6 depuis novembre et pas de problème de tout. Pas plus comme dans n'importe quelle berline.
Bonjour Michel. Aucun problème, toujours propre. J'ai même partagé une photo sur Facebook sur ce sujet. Comme ibeam68 indique, l'arrière de la EV6 est plus comme une berline qu'un hatchback, donc pas de problèmes comme avec la Ioniq 5.
