TuxMat makes a great product, they look amazing, the fitment is very good and the look and feel are very pleasing. Full all weather carpet coverage with a luxury look in both the front and back seat makes these mats stand out from the rest of the products in this space. However the wow factor is crushed the moment you open he box and find your $200.00+ purchase folded up and shoved in the box. The packing process creates unsightly creases and deformities that I HOPE will go away over time.
I love the look and feel, full coverage and the non-slip luxury look. Am I able to live with the defects introduced by the poor packing, will my OCD get the best of me and cause me to return them? Stay tuned...

I love the rear mat covers the hump! My kids always seem to be able to trash that.
I agree the full hump coverage is very nice
Great video man. I’m on the fence a little because of where I live having these damn sand burrs. Wish I could get a hands on the see how they feel. Might just get them and see I guess. Thanks for the info
If you’re an amazon prime subscriber you should be able to return them within 30 days.
I placed an order for my kia Seltos and I'm excited 😊. They look fantastic
Awesome 👏 I love the mats wish they made them for my new truck.
Nice presentation. Nice looking product.
Not sure I'm a fan of the mats coming up the sides of floor/trans tunnel yet.
I have ordered some last december and they come in a big box now so not like you received them i just installed it on my car and they look just WOW!
Yep I loved these mats. They also sent me a replacement for the creased mat
As always, great video and clean install, I really like how they fit on cover most if not all the floor, It should make washing easy if you spill like coffee or something just with a rag or some wet rag for dust with some armor all to keep black and done 💯, by the way are your seats Red or medium red🤔?I like the color on the video but looks a lot brighter red on thumbnail and I was wondering
Hard to explain the Red, it's like the video but the GoPro doesn't catch the perfect shade. The Thumbnail has some saturation added to catch your eye while scrolling ;)
I've had TuxMats for 2 and half years now. Much better than the WeatherTech mats I had. Still looks brand new, and drive my scatpack all year around including salty roads. Good choice!
Nice thank you for taking the time to soothe my concerns with these mats getting ruined over time.
@@WorkPlayDrive Np! To clean them, I use Chemical guys VRP
Nice I’ve got that in the garage 👍
Better than Husky Mats??
I like them better than husky and weather tech,
I think I like the maxpider ones better. Gotta save up for them. Great video!
Thank you 🙏
I believe the fit will be even better if you 'tuck' the 'Tux'mats under the vehicle's factory trim pieces in as many locations as possible. When loose laid for the first time it's easy to determine where the company designed them to tuck under the factory trim. Try a re-install with tucking them under the vehicle factory trim and you'll see the even better fit these give you.
You are correct sir, I went back and tucked in a ton of different areas and it definitely looks a lot better.
Tuxmat also sent me a brand new driver side mat so I no longer have a crease.
@@WorkPlayDrive Glad it made a difference when you tucked in the mats. Be Well!
Good video except when you install the drivers side floor mat the retention pin should be installed forward not backward. Installing it to the rear will allow it to pull out as the mat slides forward. My Toyota Tundra mats didn't have the major creases in the box from shipping so maybe model dependent. Otherwise these TuxMats have very good fit and coverage.
Love my tuxmats in my Acura - easy to install and superior to OEM, Husky or WeatherTechs
Nice, keep us updated
Tuxmat replaced the creased mats with no issues.
nice......Mistake I made was ordering black Weathertech mats for my Hellcat. They show every small scuff....got the brown ones for my wife's new Nissan Armada, much better.
What's the length of the hump between the front and rear seats? Is it 16 cm or 21 cm?Work play Drive.
Nice review! Did the creased areas come out over time? Also, how you you clean these things? Seems time consuming to install if you need to remove to clean them well.
They replaced the creased mats immediately so I was very pleased.
Normal cleaning and even deep cleaning can happen in the car.
After vacuuming I used water and a microfiber to keep them clean. In the winter I did the same then followed up with a leather cleaner spray and horsehair brush to scrub out the dirty spots. Then worked clean with a microfiber.
So far I have watched 2 vids on these mats and I guess I will take a chance. I have used weathertech for 15 years but am more disappointed every time I buy a set. Can you promise that I will get a nice head of hair like you?
😂😂 sorry can’t promise the hair my grandpa gave me that. But you will like the mats.
Do you have a list of the cleaning products that you use on your channel. I can't get my 17 challenger close to the level of shine you seem to keep.
I'm going to cover some of that in a new video, I just recently switched a few products and I'm waiting for the 4 month mark to ensure they are performing well.
...got those Laguna leather seats....wish the Scat Pack cars had that as an option...they are beautiful...
Took me a while to find this one with the options I wanted, but the demonic red leather seats were non-negotiable ;)
@@WorkPlayDrive yeah..I missed my chance for the SRT 392 trim level, and since I want a manual I’m not taking a chance on going used . Oh well...hope mine gets delivered this week
Congrats 🎈
Very cool product. I'm definitely curious to see if the creases diminish over time. Personally .... I'd give it about three days and then they'd go back if the creases are still there.
I already contacted the company let’s see what they say and do.
How did the creases turn out? Did the company get back to you? I'm about to pull the trigger on a set myself if things worked out.
I tried to contact Luxus about making some for the gt awd, (transaxle changes passenger side floor board) but several emails and several weeks I got no response. So tuxmat is the runner up.
Did they take care of you?
Yep they sent me a replacement with no trouble at all 👍
@@WorkPlayDrive was the replacement shipped any different? I was actually debating 3d spyder vs tuxmat your video was helpful
No difference and others commended they received their tuxmats in perfect condition
I want to know if the plastic clips introduce a possible squeak noise when rubbing against the factory parts when in motion.
No squeaks yet they’re also textured so they kind of grip in.
I wish it was easier to find floor mats for a GT.
How are they holding up especially with the wrinkles? Would you recommend them over the maxpider?
I contacted Tuxmats and they sent out a replacement so we’re all set on the wrinkles. I also had a few people comment that they received mats with no wrinkles so it looks like they fixed the issue.
They’re holding up really well I took the car out a few times during the winter got salt and dirt on them easily vacuumed off and wiped clean with a wet microfiber with no cleaner.
Compared to the 3D Maxpider these mats seem a little bit tougher the only downside is I can’t remove them easily and shake them out I have to vacuum them to get the rocks and dirt out.
Definitely going to keep an eye out for a follow up video regarding the creases from packaging. You mentioned trying to heat them up a little with a heat gun, have you tried that yet?
Yep it didn’t work. To be honest when they’re in the car overtime I’ll forget they were there.
it’s just that out of box experience was ruined for me.
Just a heads up, TuxMat advanced replaced the creased mat and paid for return shipping. I'm very satisfied.
@@WorkPlayDrive Thanks for the update. I've been looking at mats for a while. Who would've thought buying a set of floor mats would be so difficult, lol. So many choices.
I know and at the prices some of these Mats are selling it’s hard to take the risk.
great video. I do like the coverage, but those winkles would bother me too.
Yeah it kinda ruined the inbox experience. I sent some photos to tuxmat and will see what they say.
@@WorkPlayDrive I hope they make it right. on a side note, I appreciate the tutorials you create. I love the Atturo tires I bought based on your suggestion.
Glad to help. I’m going to a set of 315 Atturos for the widebody once I burn through my current tires.
Atturo gets a lot of crap in groups but they are a great daily driving tire.
Maybe a heat gun will take the creases out but don’t get it too hot
I tired it did not work unfortunately
how are the mats working in winter weather? I'm planning to get one for my cx-9.
Dirt and mud come of real easy. We just got our first storm yesterday so not experience with salt yet. There are a few good videos on CZcams showing how well they clean up after getting trashed in the winter. here is one (not mine) czcams.com/video/35qgVOno8zc/video.html
On the driver's side, why didn't they use the factory anchors instead?
The news ones prob do.
Blow dryer will help with the crease
Tuxmat replaced the creased drivers mat and with the summer heat the rear creases disappeared
Anyone know what these are made of? Wondering if I can just hose these off or how they're ideally cleaned
You can hose them off without issue. They can also withstand scrubbing for tough stains and even gum.
So how are they holding up. Thinking about getting them for my hawk. I daily it so I want something I can keep clean.
They held up well through the winter with only vacuum and a wet microfiber to clean. Tuxmats also sent replacement for the wrinkled mat.
@@WorkPlayDrive Thanks for the update
Do these fit the manual 2015 rt?
Nice looking mats. But No matter who sent those mats to you. They are going to be folded up and mashed in the box. Try heating them up with a blow dryer. That should make them return to their original state.
Yeah I totally agree they’re packing process is the way it is. I reached out to them let’s see what they say.
I’m already getting a lot of feedback from people who have had tuxmats for a while. And the feedback has been pretty good so far they sand up to the stresses of winter and salt and mud so I have high hopes for these.
Mike,
I purchased the spider mats because of your recommendation. I like them a lot. Yes you do get a heal spot but I don't mind. I'm not digging your new mats. 200 + dollars and wrinkles. Not cool.
I'm not a fan of all the clips either.
I enjoy all your videos and made many purchases from your videos.
Thanks for your hard work.
Yeah I agree the 3D maxpider mats were a much cleaner look. I’m on the fence with these waiting for the company to get back to me on the wrinkles.
@@WorkPlayDrive @gray46705squirrel
I also bought the 3d Maxpider for my Challenger when the first video came out. Recently traded it in for a Jeep and the first thing I did was get a new set. Not really digging the look of these, kinda looks like foam and busy/bubbly vs the minimal aesthetic of the 3d maxpider.
What size is your shoe?
I had a set for my G80 and in Canada the front mats got destroyed in the winter from the salt. And also my wife’s heels punctured a hole in the mats and TuxMat wouldn’t replace after only 9 months of use.
Ouch 😓
But they are the sexiest when new
Absolutely and in this car I had the luxury of not using it during the winter.
Good video! Did you contact the manufacturer and tell them about the creases? If so what was their response? Thanks!
I contacted them via chat, web form and email with no response yet it’s been a week 🥺
@@WorkPlayDrive It can be the best product on earth but if customer service is lacking or nonexistent, then I will look elsewhere for another product to buy. Hopefully they answer you soon!
@@WorkPlayDrive have they addressed those creases yet?
Yep they sent me a replacement 💪
Awesome. This answers the question I asked somewhere else and now can't find again. Gonna pull the trigger right now.
I wanted Luxus mats instead, but it's been over a month and they never sent me any thing when I asked about if they could do an awd version, multiple times. Tuxmats wins.
I’m still using the 3D MAXpider floor mats I got them based off an earlier video of yours. I actually like these new floor mats, but yeah I’m a little worried about the wrinkles. Hopefully we get an update if those work themselves out.
I still love the maxpider mats but these kept popping up in my feed and I finally gave in.
@@WorkPlayDrive So being you’ve used both maxpider and tuxmatt, which is better? Is there wear on the bump where your foot hit (by using the brake pedal)?
Have you tried the Muchkey car Floor Mats
No sorry the diamonds mats are not for me.
I love my maxpider. These look like a pain to install.
I loved those mats too. Just wanted to try a different style. They were easy to install and keep clean 👍
Any long term updates? Are the wearing well? Any issues come up?
No issues and they did very well, held up to winter salt, gravel and dirt, just a quick vacuum and wipe down with water and a microfiber.
@@WorkPlayDrive I'm still scrolling thru the comments so maybe there's already another more recent update lol but how are they doing still? Are you using them still? It's odd that you did a vid for these aswell as they're something I was considering getting for my Charger but I've been watching some of your tazer vids and subbed 2 days ago. My tazer should be here by tomorrow actually. Hopefully after playing with it and getting it set up I'll probably order a set of these. They looks great. I even considered getting the trunk liner but imo it's too expensive and I also keep a normal floor jack in my trunk that'd be rolling around and in the winter my back seats are folded down and I've ALWAYS got my ice fishing sled in the trunk and back Seats.
They held up very well, I figured the first time I got gravel, rocks or salt on them they would get messed up. But they were very durable.
I wound up selling the hellcat and I sold the mats to one of my Instagram followers and they were like new.
Did you keep them? Did the crease come out?
The company sent me a replacement free of charge and others in the comments told me they changed their packaging to prevent creased 💪
Curious how these are when they get wet. Are they slippery? Do they hold/drain water away from where your feet are?
The water will remain in the mat and will pool at the lowest point based on how level you vehicle is.
If flat the raised bumps in the mat will be dry, water pools in the valley.
@@WorkPlayDrive Ok, but are they slippery? What I mean is if you have wet feet, and/or the floor mats are wet, when getting in does your first foot in slide away from you? I have a low car too and a decently wide sill, plus my bucket seats have a high seat bolster to get over to get in, that's why I'm curious. Thanks!
Nope as long as you don’t put any slick coatings on them.
@@WorkPlayDrive damn...I was almost hoping you'd be like "hell yeah they're slippery"! I was pretty much set on trying out the Husky liners, and now I'm stuck debating again...Lol!
I've always used Weathertech on all my cars, still got them on one of my current cars, and they're generally really good. Just for my new ride, a 2023 Civic Type-R, it sits low, and got a decent sill and seat bolster to get over, and I'm a bit worried about slipping on the Weathertech's in this case. Also because I'm a tall guy I gotta have my seat all the way back, and there's a decent portion of the carpet that gets exposed that the Weathertech's don't cover, they stop short at the foot well, and don't go under the seat.
Anyway thanks for the info, I really appreciate it.
Do they seem to add any kind of soundproofing to the car?
They are thick and well padded but it’s hard to tell with the loud exhaust. 😳
@@WorkPlayDrive I literally just ordered some a few minutes ago. Will see how they do. 😂
I tried to buy these and they sent me the wrong ones ... and the back wasa mashed up just like this vid which was in fact unsightly. Since there was zero chance of fit anyway, I returned.
Don't understand why they didn't incorporate the two existing anchors on the driver's side into the mat. Definitely a fail.
I considered it as an issue at first but then thought if the mat is full of water it would flow through any holes required to support the existing anchors, so designing their own wasn’t a bad idea.
i don't like how close that mat is to the pedal. not purchasing. good vid bro
I just received my set i ordered for the wife's car....no creases to be had... The box was large and nothing folded backwards...maybe they fixed the issues you called out
Yep and they took care of my issue by sending me a replacement
Did the creases ever work out?
Tuxmat sent me a replacement and no issues with the new mat
Too much work for floor mats imo. After watching this review I'm sticking with the 3D Max Spider.
Yeah all I could think about was how much of a pain they'd be to remove and clean on a semi-regular basis...
I like the Maxpider Mays. But driver one keeps sliding forward. PITA!!!
Really? Mine never moved an inch. Did you remove the factory mats?
@@WorkPlayDrive yep.
@@WorkPlayDrive well I bought the Maxpider mats because of you and now I guess I’ll go with the TuxMat lol
😂 everybody blames me 🥓
Just bought a set.
Were these hard to install?
Nope super easy to install.
Sticking with my 3d Maxspider. Even if the TuxMat was $25 for the set and shipped wrinkle-free, I wouldn't go with them, not a fan of the looks at all.
It’s not a style for everyone 👌
@@WorkPlayDrive I think it's just that there's already a puffy, semi-gloss and wrinkling aftermarket product behind the wheel, mats need to contrast. :)
How are those Tuxmats now??
Still kicking butt, they clean up real easy and the issue I had with the creases has been solved by Tuxmat sending me a replacement.
Any updates on how they have lasted?
Lasted through the winter and spring before I sold my challenger at a pandemic profit. They cleaned up good as new with some water and a microfiber.
@@WorkPlayDrive don’t blame you, the car market is crazy.
Yep could not refuse the offer
@@WorkPlayDrive thanks for the updates on the mats. I think I’m getting them. I see a lot of people like the Caruny ones but not sure about them.
Weather tech any good?
Not a fan of weather tech. I don’t like the look and they are way to slick when wet
@@WorkPlayDrive so what is the best type to get? I’m in TX it can get wet and muddy out lol I want something super easy to clean.. the look I don’t really mind. I just don’t think the one you have works great for me?
@@vGREENARROWv 3D Maxpider are excellent mats
I prefer husky or weather tech. I like the simplicity. 😬
My weathertech experience started with slipping and ramming my ankle into the brake while rushing into the car on a rainy day. Those mats are too slick for my taste.
I need something a little safer
@@WorkPlayDrive yes, your right.
Yes, I’ve heard stories of the Weathertech sliding and that would really bug me. My Huskyliners have spikes underneath so, no sliding issues.
Lol looks like you got a lot of us to buy the 3D mats. Add me to that list. I like the look of these but not so much the puffy sides. I too will stick with my 3D ones.
Another great video! Thank you
The Tuxmat is not for everyone but a lot of people really react well to them. I’m still on the fence... but you can’t go wrong with the 3D maxpiders either.
@@WorkPlayDrive agreed. I had the 3d mats in my 19 and moved them into my 2020. Still look good
Wouldn't have made more sense to use the exsisting hooks instead of covering them and making you put a hole in your floor to add a hook? Or does the mat sit up too high to use the exsisting hooks?
The reason is to create a watertight seal on the mat so as your shoes leak, the dirt and water doesn’t run down the original hook holes into your carpet.
The hole is a pinhole you’ll never see it it’s like the equivalent of punching a hole in your clothing to put a price tag on it
I think the old mats are still ok. 2.5 years is not much!
Absolutely, the old mats are in great shape, I just wanted to try something new.
Great video but I’m not a fan of those mats.
No worries they’re not for everyone.
Perhaps not a good mat for a truck, when one lives in a snowy area.
Lets pay $80 more for shipping! If we aint wastin' momey we simply dont hsve enough 😂❤
Doesn't this guy do Home Depot voice overs?
Who gives a shit if theirs creases in the mats. That's literally the whole point of the mats is to be a protective device so u don't ruin your oe upholstery. They're gonna get dirty and do what they're designed yo do with or without the creases
I do Doug, I give a 💩
Leave them in the sun when its hot for day or 2 than put them in the wrinkles should go away
Just a suggestion. Try a hair dryer to see if the wrinkles go away. I do like the full coverage and if the hair dryer works I may go the same way.
WWG1WGA
I don't like the idea clips. No Go for me
No worries I do feel ya! I thought the clips were a bit difficult to get over but after installing they didn’t really bug me.
Great review! I wanted the Tuxmats because of the coverage and the great looks. Unfortunately, they lost me on the creases and mostly, the clips. My Huskyliners are installed front and back in 3 minutes and yes, come spring, I have to spray a little vinegar and scrub my footrest from salt stains, but all in all they do a great job and my carpets still look new. Sorry Tuxmat!
Don’t like these. I prefer ones that come out easily for vacuuming under and cleaning.
They are not for everyone, but there is No need to get under them when dirt can’t get their either 🤔
with tux mats you won't have to vacuum under them. I drive my scat all year round and only take the mats out once or twice a year.
Don't care for the new mats to much going on I like simple better.
Agreed they are not for everyone 👍
Thanks for the video. But those creases would be/are a BIG off put for me. They're more of an, 'It'll Do', covering, as long as you're prepared to put up with creases in your $200+ floor mats. Thumbs down for these mats. Thumbs up for the video upload
They replaced the creased mats immediately 👌 I had the replacements in under a week.
Not sure I like the look of these, it looks a bit too much like the puke-proof interior you get in the Charger pursuit cars lmfao
😂😂 puke proof with a set of abs
@@WorkPlayDrive HAHA exactly 🤣🤣🤣
Geeze, they're just floor mats🤨
