This is why you should NOT buy WeatherTech floor mats.

Great insights Tommy, very helpful!
Glad it was helpful!
Where did you get the heritage puddle lights, no links amigo?
I got the 3D mats for my x5. Look into those. They’re fantastic
Very cool mod with the puddle lights! I went with the OEM weather mats from BMW. The black with red trim which match my car. Always was curious what else was out there. I know The Straight Pipes are always plugging Tux Mats 🤔
Tux mats don’t sit well with me :)

What about Lasfit? Got them for my 3 series and enjoy them
I'll definitely am going to try the 3D MAXpider mats
Yes, those are awesome
Thanks for the information of water going to carpet floor
No problem 👍 which one did you end up getting ?
Last set of Weathertechs I bought STUNK LIKE HELL! Terrible off gassing.
They must have changed their supplier
I have weathertech for the m2 and they have been fine, the lip is fine, catches all the water but maybe the design is different. That said they are just fine, I think cost way too much for what they are worth. Summer I have coco mats and I love those.
Definitely too expensive
Thank you for this video I was going to get some for my m550i won’t be buying anymore
Good call!
I have a change of boots . And also you have to run the floor vents
Change of boots? How? You’ll always bring snow inside.
I went back and forth with the WT and the BMW ones. Ultimately, I chose BMW. NO complaints so far. Oh, for your cargo mat, for the creased area - I could recommend you take a heat gun and maybe try and re-bend that piece back to straight. That might work.
Great idea about the heat gun!
That screw on the pedal is worth protecting I had to use a screw extractor to remove the pedal because the screw was completely rusted
That’s why I needed a set that protects that area
Get 3D Maxspider floormats instead
Will try
They’re also plastic so when they’re wet they’re extremely slippery! Not good if you step first when getting in your car
Yup!!
I've had weathertech mats in a 2012 escape, 2013 fusion, 2016 f150, 2020 altima, and a 2017 grand caravan. They are nice, but I think there are better options (or at least the same quality) for cheaper. I also had them for a 2021 rav4 (I knew I was buying the vehicle, and bought the mats before vehicle was delivered)- I ended up buying a rav4 that had the factory all weather mats. The factory mats were MUCH better than the weathertechs. I then bought a 2023 hyundai santa fe- weathertech mats were over $200..I found a company called 'lasfit' and bought their all weather mats. They have been fantasic, were less than half the price of WT and had a 30 (or more, I forget) money back guarantee if not happy with the mats.
Agreed!!
You rocking a Breitling?
Yes that’s my favorite daily
Try tux mats i had weather tec for 1 week and sent the grash back.
Okay will do!
Finally someone is calling out WeatherTech. WeatherTech has for the last few years charged premium pricing on mediocre products. Bought into all the "influencer" hype and purchased them for my M6 and my Cayenne GTS, the rear floor mats were literally paper thin compared to the fronts and nothing secured them down. As a result they just wobble/rattle around the interior with sub-par fitment. There's so many new products that actually have better designs and are cheaper that warrant me to never make a purchase from WeatherTech ever again.
Sad to see. I really like the WeatherTech products for my old 2011 Audi and 2013 911. What do company do you recommend. I'm trying to find some for my model 3 and Tesla doesn't make good OEM all weather mats.
So true. For a couple of my cars I was able to find cheap floor mats on Amazon / eBay for a faction of the price w better fitment.
So true!
I’m glad I saw this comment because I went to go look for mats for my gf, 2015 Chevrolet Cruze and they want $220 like WTF 😐😐😐
I love TuxMats
Yeyy!!
I have been a long time Weathertech fan but recently went with Husky because they design was much better. A bit disappointing that the quality from this very reputable brand isn’t as great as it used to be.
Yup!!
My left ear thanks you.
Hahaha
Never had problems with mine maybe they're bad for Beamers
Same with Tesla
I have those floor mats .. the front ones are nice but the back seat mat sucks. The corners end up losing the shape & folding inward. Such a waste of money.
I ended up getting just the front mats and leaving stock mats in the rear..then again I have a m6 coupe so who cares what's back there for me
I ended up just keeping oem ones
🤯🤯🤯
Precisely!
To be fair, that pedal design where the gas pedal is in the floor instead of the normal way (like brake pedal is) is flawed. You can never get a floor mat that will completely protect the carpet in that area no matter what kind of mat you use. I have an mk7 GTI and I've been using weathertech mats since I got the car and they are literally perfect because the gas pedal hangs from above, instead of protruding from the floor. The carpets underneath the front floor mats are flawless.
My biggest complain from weathertech is their material quality.
They get too slippery, to the point where it is unsafe to drive, when they are wet (every time I get a carwash I have to dry the mats before I can drive).
If there is a crease or the mats develop a crease from usage, it is never coming out as demonstrated by your trunk/ cargo cover. The rear mats that I have in my car might as well be frisbees. They had a 2 inch lip all the way around to contain water/snow/salt when they were new, and now they are flat because they had creases in them and they didn't fit perfectly in their place when they were new. It's gotten to a point where they will slide underneath the front seats and I have to constantly keep pulling them out anytime someone uses the rear seats.
However, credit where credit is due. They are the only plastic/rubber mats I've used (I've used 4 different brands/kinds) that don't stink when heat is on.
You’re so right about the quality - super slippery! They have gotten worse over the years.
you should it got the hp ones.
Aaahhhh
Yeah there are better products on the market now. Weather tech just keeps doing what they were doing 10 yrs ago
Yup!
OEM all day
Yes!
I have never been a fan of WeatherTech mats.
Tux mat is the only way to go weather tec are trash.
Weathertech products are average in quality but there prices are so ridiculous. I would bet there markup is probably 700 to 1000 %. The last thing I bought was the cupfone, fits terrible in my ford f150 for $65 it is quite a joke. I don’t buy there sh*t any more.
Never again!
