The reason why Chef Ismail stays relevant till now not just because his food & recipes are delicious but because he is so down-to-earth. He is a legend. I saw him cooking on television since i was kid. His kuih raya recipes is a mist try!
I'm so proud of Dato Chef Ismail as he keep promoting our traditional local food from all over Malaysia. He is one of my Idol Chef from my childhood!

i remembered watching him on TV as a kid. chef wan was already famous, and he was invited to tv segments and then got a cooking show. i'm glad he's very established now. i think people used to compare them both but both have their merits

I've a nickname for Chef Ismail. The Swooshing Chef. Always on the move hahaha.. the food looks authentic but I've never had a chance to go there yet. Glad that you guys enjoyed the food well 😄

Oh yeah restoren favorite ni. Antara restoren yang wajib pergi bersama keluarga, friends and colleagues.
Not all restaurants can serve good local food, it can often be found in villages or street stalls. But, Restoran Rebung is very tasty and tastes right with the local tongue. Dato' Chef Ismail is indeed one of the best chefs. It's always full house and I've only been there once for a wedding kenduri.
I've been countless times having lunch ir certain occasion with friends and family. Syabas Chef Ismail. Even have a photo with you.

Saya dulu sebelum covid selalu makan dengan keluarga di RRCI ni. Boleh dikatakan setiap bulan lah makan di sini. Tetapi setelah Covid punya SOP sudah dilonggarkan dan dah boleh makan semula di Restoran Rebung Chef Ismail ni (RRCI), tiba tiba harga buffet telah dinaikkan sehingga RM70 / Orang. Sebelum ni hanya RM50/Orang. Jadi saya rasa sedih kerana tak mampu lagi makan di RRCI ini. Saya harap kalau Cef Ismail baca komen saya ini, sila pertimbangkan semula harga tersebut. Terima Kasih.
