N in we got 3 laksa which is famous, Laksa Penang, Laksa Johor n Laksa Sarawak, u guys should try the differents, n one more if u guys went to Kedah you guys should try Sup Utara which the soup is made from one whole cow being put inside 1 Big Wok ( kawah ) n the red sambal

Maybe it’s too hard to obtain ingredients in Korea...Malaysian and Korean food history is quite different so the usage of spices and ingredients may not be obtainable from normal market in korea on a large scale

When my sister make nasi lemak sambal, she seriously cook it for a long time until her sambal become little bit dark and more pecah minyak.
Laksa has many variety in Malaysia originating from its respectives states/region in the country. Laksa Utara, Laksa Perlis, laksa Penang, laksa Johor, laksam (laksa Kelantan), laksa Sarawak. Probably every state in Malaysia has its own laksa. Probably 14 varieties of laksa, who knows ya. Of course i love laksa Johor for heavier meal n laksa utara/penang for lighter meal. Have been pondering about eating Laksa Sarawak though ...

If u come to Kuala Lumpur, you guys should go to Sri Petaling at Jalan Radin Anum near Popo Canteen, over there is famous Nasi lemak Called Nasi Lemak Tawaf, it is open from 8.am till 10am only due to sold out all the dishes, if u come at 9.30am most of the dishes was sold out

Blimey can start try explore cooking malaysian dish but addin some flavour that suits korean taste buds. Even in malaysia , they have many style of cooking and taste in every state/district for the same dish..
The laksa that you guys had is a type of curry laksa and usually curry laksa especially nyonya curry laksa has galangal in it. That's why the fragrance is a bit different to normal curry.

Heres the thing about nasi lemak, people often associate the rice itself as coconut rice but its more than just rice cook in coconut milk instead of water. Let me preface by saying I dont know about other homecook nasi lemak but in my house, we throw all kind of herbs in the nasi lemak. You can expect cinnamon, star anise, cumin, cardamon, whole black pepper, ginger, lemongrass and such. Nasi lemak found in restaurant usually dont have these stuff because they want to cut cost. Also while it adds to the flavor, you dont really want to bite down on these herbs as it could ruin the whole experience (you have to sift through the rice and remove the herbs which is a hassle).
Ohhhhhhh!!! I would love to try the nasi lemak. Its not the same like the traditional Malaysian nasi lemak but its sure looks appetising.

malay is an easy language to learn. just from traveling and speak to people from there you're this good already though not perfect, but you guys know the basic words and can understand a little. hope to see blimeys to be fluent in malay in the future
