    Thanks for passing on your wealth of knowledge 🤙.
    I was just curious if I had an extra dedicated 30m of 3/8 Jetter hose (no steel to corrode) and gun at the end could I place the modified X-Jet were I connect this hose out of my trailer to my original hose and then have a small hose from the X-jet to bucket. It would be setup essentially like using it the same as a downstream injector but keep SH out of my original steel braided hose and hose reel swivel.
    Would this still draw the same ratio’s listed on instructions or would the extra 20-30m of pressure hose wreck the suction draw?
    Again, much appreciated Dougie !

    Do you need to clean the new fence somehow before staining? For some reason I can't find a clear answer anywhere, some advise just to powerwash, some to apply a fence cleaner before powerwash, some seems like don't do anything, just brush off w/huge brush and then stain. It is cedar fence I just put, but not sure about the question above. I would appreciate your professional opinion on this matter. Thank you for the great film.

    Great video. Appreciate it. So let me see if I understand this. You mentioned however you dilute the SH in the bucket is pretty close to how it’ll come out with an xjet. So does that mean if you’re starting off with 12.5% SH and you put 50/50 Sh and water. You’ve got about 6.25% SH inside the bucket and by the time it goes through the PW and house water line it’ll still be 6.25% roughly? The house water line in the PW doesn’t dilute it anymore?

    • @PressureCleaningSch
      @PressureCleaningSch  Před rokem +1

      Yes it will dilute it some. I just, for me is how I do it. The X jet comes with a chart to help you with exact solutions if that’s what your wanting to figure out. I’ve never been one to do that. I just need it to change the color of the organic stains. If it does that I know it’s strong enough.

    I bought the modified gun today for pre and post treatment on flat surface and its a game changer for me after the pump up sprayer. If you're coming from a pump up just be sure your technique and hose control is good or you'll go through a ton more chemical. My black soap tip allows a bit less pressure than the m5 twist so i use that for SH, and the m5 for regular soap. Love this thing, ill be recommending it on all the forums.

    For your proportioners, if you put a quick connect where the Barb is, you can easily Change between portioners very Quickly. The Proportionerl fits right inside of the quick connect. No mixing, just Poor and go....!!!

      If it’s belt drive you can bypass off the unloader. If not then you can get a ball valve set up and open when off the trigger. But, it in any case, relax, you can be off trigger up to a minute or so, plus it should have a relief valve to prevent damage to the pump. No need not to fire up.

It will even siphon up on the roof when we have to get closer to peaks etc, albeit takes a few seconds longer for the solution to reach the nozzle. We do HOA condo buildings and townhomes with this system, and it's the only thing we use.

    Hey Doug, Placed an order last week. Almost completely understand downstream and xjet purely from your videos. One question I have starting out is what do I do about my chems? I don't have a steady stream of customers. Would you just go to Lowes and buy gallons of bleach(or larger if they have them) as needed and then put in a 5 gallon bucket (like the xjet bucket) mixed with water and a surfactant? I was about to just buy a 65 gallon tank thinking that I could just leave it sitting in there and didn't realize it degrades over time. Also, you've told me a soft wash system is just a sprayer on steroids. Just starting with tight funds would it be a good alternative just to carry around a pump sprayer for decks, fences and areas on a house that need a little more heat and then rinse with the pressure washer at lower psi?

    Hey Doug, thank you for all the useful information. I use a quad rod (jrod) for soft washing with a 3.5 gpm machine. Do you think is worth to invest on an x-jet? I currently use my down streamer, so I am limited to the ratio that my pressure washer gives me (10-1). I want to be able to use hotter mixes, but I don't know if having only 3.5 gpm will give me a good reach when using the x-jet. Hi Doug,
    I recently ordered the X-Jet M5 from your store, and I want to use it to get me by until I can invest in a softwash system.
    With a 4,000 PSI 4.0 GPM machine, if I run the X-Jet open with no orifice, 10% SH mixed 50/50 with water will get me a true 5% out the tip? I see some other comments from you saying you don't find the 3:1 stated on the card to be accurate but do you feel it does dilute it some? Presumably it has to be diluting it to some extent because water will still be flowing from the machine as well. I ask because that will make a big difference on how you mix the 5-gallon bucket.
    If I were intending to spray a 3% mix for houses/hardi siding, should I go with a true 3% mix in the bucket, or make it stronger to account for maybe even a 2:1 dilution in the x-jet (still running it without any of the colored inserts) Because that's a big difference... either 1.5 gallon of 10% SH in the bucket or 3 gallon of SH to = 6% diluted 2:1 in the X-Jet down to 3%
    Thanks for any insight!

    • @PressureCleaningSch
      @PressureCleaningSch  Před 3 lety +2

      I'd just mix it at 3% and go from there. Add some more bleach if it's not working good enough. Add water if working to fast. I really don't get into all the exact% since every job can be different depending on surface and staining. The exact % coming out of the gun makes no matter to me, what I look for is, is the bleach changing the color of the algae or not?

To draw bleach without a proportioner from a 5 gal bucket took my 4gpm 4000psi pressure washer exactly 3:30sec. Now while I was drawing 5 gal Bleach I put out about 14-15gal total. Which is a 3:1 ratio. My SH was only 10.5% so the end result was around 3%. But you said mix half and half and the end result gonna be that. I don’t understand what you meant.
