Inside Myanmar's Abandoned Sacred Village
That little village genuinely looked like a very nice place to live.
I had the exact same reaction, what a beautiful place with friendly people, everyone was so nice
I want to go
She was super proud to show off her village.
Yea man we got lucky with this one
She was like "looks like I bagged me a rich American husband."
@@kritsadventures no absolutely not
@@kritsadventuresThis is not Thai red light district man.
@@kritsadventuresNah bro.She just want practice to be a tour guide. I did that before so I can improve my english from that.
I can see why she was proud to show off her village. It looks well managed. They live well without many modern luxuries.
Welcome to Myanmar ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I hope you tipped her. They are hurting for tourist bucks. She seemed really sweet and generous and proud to show off her village.,
Hello Connor,
I'm a resident of Myanmar, and I'd love to show you around when you visit our country next time! I'm a frequent viewer of your videos and have thoroughly enjoyed your Myanmar series. It was heartening to see you meet someone fluent in English because, unfortunately, not many people here speak the language fluently.
It's quite saddening to see the problems you had to go through that weren't a thing before the military takeover. Myanmar used to be on par with popular tourist destinations like Phuket, Bangkok, and the Philippines. We even had better tourist infrastructure compared to some other ASEAN nations.
If you ever decide to return to Myanmar, I can help ensure that everything goes smoothly and show you the real hidden gems of our country!
Me Burma guy got English more marks than other umm စာ
@@MinPone-mo6pn I think it's pretty safe to say you aren't doing good in other subjects. This is not the end though, keep trying. Maybe one day you'll learn how to structure a sentence in English well.
I am a myannmar next time come to yangon
come to NayPyiTaw
It probably wouldn’t be wise of him to return because of the intro of his military curfew video
I've visited Myanmar in October 2019 (Mandalay, Bagan and Yangoon).
Never before have I felt so welcomed by the local people. As you said, they are sweet and super friendly. It brings me to tears how the people of Myanmar are struggling now. This country has so much potential to attract more tourists. But we know about the current situation. Hopefully it will change soon.
Keep up the good work. Really love your down-to-earth videos.
Did you ask her how she became so fluent in English? I am happy you stumbled upon her. She seems like an incredible person
She wasn’t amazing wasn’t she?? Myanmar people are so chill and sweet
She just gives people tours so I guess that’s how she got good
A Myanmar local here, there are certain programmes in Bagan that teaches english so they can make money as tourguides
@@SmallBrainedAmericanDid she ask to pay for guidance?
i wanna know too@@lili8626
I love how you always shake people's hands. It shows that you respect them, that you acknowledge them and that you are not afraid of them. Great content!
Hope you gave a BIG tip to the guide lady. She was sensational 👏👏👏
That felt so peaceful. I have never experienced that type of lifestyle, but i felt like i belonged there. By the way, Do not stop with that humor, It is literally what kept me watching these videos. I just found this channel tonight by accident. I have subscribed and will watch more!
Same😊
ur pfp wtf i thought i was seeing shit
No, Its not peaceful, there are wars in here and people are dying everything, others bombing to schools and everywhere
Tf I know. Same

Her English was amazing and she gave you such a good tour. One of my fave vids of yours yet! Dude I can't believe it I've watched pretty much all your videos within a week of finding you, way too addictive.
You can tell how proud she is of her culture and rightfully so!! Such a dope video as always plus her english was so good. Amazing to see bro thanks for sharing

This video was the best, I feel like I was there with you. This village should get an award.
Thanks so much that’s what I’m going for! That lady was so sweet and generous with her time too
No ,,this person don't have money, ,,,,,,,,drinking methanol alcohol @alienboyandy
She was so sweet how fortunate that you ran into her. New arrival to your channel man I've been binging for two days stuck at home with Covid.
Thank you for showing the untrodden paths in all these places
Fantastic video. You are making genuine and honest content. To see how these people live makes you very humble, but yet it seems like they are not missing anything. They all have it figured out. Beautiful to see.
It was lovely to see this stunning vlog of you in Bagan as a Burmese from Myanmar. I hope you absolutely enjoyed your precious time in my country. I'd love to welcome you from Myanmar to visit again especially when the situation gets better. And there are so many historic and interesting places left for you to visit. Thank you for taking an adventure in Myanmar.
I am Filipino-American now living in Texas. I just started watching your videos today and truly enjoy your videos. Your adventures, care free style and witty humor is what kept your videos very interesting. Keep it up. That random tourist guide was excellent and very friendly. I hope you paid her though because it is sad to see that their tourism are now almost non existent due to their countries internal conflicts. Love the shirt, our favorite pit stop when we travel around Texas. Safe Travels.
found your channel few days ago, love it.
Free from lies, pretense and you are definitely an entertaining guy.
this is what I watch from time to time in the war,
it's giving me something to dream about.
This look into this village was epic!!!
How wonderful to live there and be a true community all working together 😊
Ah,...humble people.hope you gave her a wee tip for the tour. Great insight into areas of the world many of us know nothing about, cheers

That place looks really chill to hang out. I just discovered your channel and this is a hidden gem of a YT channel. Great work. I saw your train ride from hell video in India and good god I've never seen so many people crammed in a train like that and you were right in there with them. That was intense.

I am very happy to watch this video as a burmese. The way you tell about my country is very nice.Thank you so much Sir.
Thank you for posting the videos about your travels in Myanmar. Ive been away from my home country for more than 5 years due to covid and other circumstances. Bagan is the amazing ancient city. Im not sure whether you travelled Shan state during your visit to Myanmar. If you have done so, please upload to youtube. 😊
Thats very interesting. Thanks for the videos.
Myanmar will always be ny faviurite country i was here before covid and the people are just so humble. And as u say its like going back time i just loved myanmar and always will!

Much appreciated 🙏
I spent about 4 weeks in Yangon and surrounding areas back in 2015 absolutely beautiful country and the friendliest people. Past couple years have been terrible for them
New to the channel been watching your videos and subbed you. Seems like a very interesting place to visit. The lady in the village was very cool to you. Looking forward to watching the next one you put out. Going to go back and watch a bunch of your older videos.
Pretty cool you get to travel around the world.

Another awesome video. Crazy that you stumbled across the one person that speaks English. Commenting for the algorithm 🤝 keep ‘em coming
Buddha was looking out for us that day 😂
Even as a Myanmar man, I wish I meet her and see around her village. She's so sweet.
One of the coolest videos I've ever seen on YT and I've seen so many.

Incredible video showing a typical burmese village and ppl in dry zone of my central Myanmar.
I miss my business visit to Bagan and Nyaung Oo.
You're very kind my people man. Thank U.
keep posting man 🎉
we , the locals here love to see this.
I know you took care of your tour guide financially. This was a great video to come across as I binge all your content. Found you a day ago.
Good vdo, thanks
You are the best duke. Much love from the UK!🙏💎
I went there to Pagan in 1995. We arrived by steamer on the banks of the Irrawaddy. The country only just opened it's doors to foreign independant travellers. I was so rare in their eyes, they were touching my skin. I was a single white female, 30 years old. For a week I hired a pushbike and toured the temples in the blazing sun. No one was there.
Good to see there's still no one around.
Amazing story- crazy to think it hasn’t changed much in 30 years thanks for sharing 🙌
@@SmallBrainedAmericanIt changed in between actually. It was blooming with tourists and you will find hot air balloons in the sky and all. We had hotels, restaurants, and many local businesses opened as well. But we had some nature disasters including earthquakes which destroyed many pagodas. Bagan doesn’t have budget to renovate and maintain, that’s why it looks abandoned. And now the military seized the country and things got worse. Absolutely shut down tourism.
this video is an absolute GEM💎
Been binge watching your videos in order, and that woman's english was the best I've heard in 15 videos
Bagan is such an incredible place, so glad I got to visit.
Damn I'm definitely going to Myanmar now. this is such a dope video!!
Thank you Connor.
Very nice one 💯
I hope you gave that lovely young lady some money for showing you around.
I am from Myanmar and I love when I see these videos
i exactly said the same It is an indiana jones vibe location when i went to bagan for the first time... such a beauty
What a gem of a channel that doesn't get promoted by the algorithm
It wont be he uses word fuck fuck every time in buddhist place. That's now how you respect place.
I'm so jealous! Bagan is such an incredible site!
Thank you ❤
Warmly welcome from Myanmar 🇲🇲
Even though the country is fk up , people are so nice and honest. I’m so proud of our Burmese lady Nyo Nyo ❤
This is truly like stepping back in time thats amazing
That girl who showed you around the village was so friendly and beautiful. She made me wish I lived in her little village.
Just discovered your videos and i love em. Dont know how you dont have way more views. All travel vloggers are super gimmicky. Worst slum this and most dangerous place that. You just travel and what happens happens. Legend.
You are a great youtuber.
From India.
What a lovely lady showing her village 😊
Honestly u are also honest traveller ever i have first time seen if u have one more change i hope u will visit again to my country
I'm Burmese and I spent half my life in America and half my life in Burma. I'm freaking floored at how good Nyu Nyu's English is for someone who lives in Bagan all her life. I'm interested in how she learned.
What a village ! no walls at all. Co op working. Just chilling.
I am genuinely jealous by the culture he gets to experience firsthand. It's amazing.
I respect u for taking off your shoes when u entered the pagoda
Much love ❤❤
You are my favourite vlogger since the first video of you that i ever saw ❤ You are super funny, brutally honest, adventure loving and risk taker.
Please keep posting man, always waiting for your vids 😂❤ I'm frm India, and I found your honest review of Indian cities very hilarious unlike the sugarcoating of other youtubers for views. Sooner or later you're gonna explode, because you're just so hilarious man 😂❤
Cheers bro !
Being a Burmese python myself I was really pleased to see you spreading love in our country and visiting snake island on the previous episode.
Bro this is probably my favourite video from Myanmar so far! It's truly the most Indiana Jones experience going through that briar patch and that lady Nono was so happy to show you around the village, and I cannot fathom how you lit up that thing with them at the end Connor... Fuckin hilarious!
Hell ya bro glad you liked it
Her name is spelled Nyo Nyo. Direct translate means brown brown. Btw Nono sounds adorable.
By the way, Connor, your Myanmar video clips are fantastic. 10 out of 10 Brother, I mean it. 👍
Glad that you still take your shoe off even tho there's nobody there. Respect Sir.
That village looked so cool, super wholesome
You should visit those kinds of villages in the middle Myanmar like Sagaing, Mandalay..during festival season around December, January, when they usually have a lot of donation ceremonies..it's really a big fun..but not now because of current political conflicts. (Really missing my grandmom's village)
this was so good, a nice village, with lovely people
The Burmese people in our rural area are friendly, hard working, and you can see their simple life. We invite you to come again.🇲🇲❤
O yeah! your new friend Dan in some of the last videos man! That boy could put down some liquor lol glad you guys didn't get to hurt on that scooter. Well just his foot lol
🙏🙏🙏
Lovely person that lady. Amazing how much they make use of the materials around them. From the food to the suncream and the cotton.
Crazy stuff. Cool vid.
Hey Great Video, we are visiting Myanmar very soon! did you take any buses or trains from city to city?
🫡🫡just the bus- foreigners can’t take the train from Yangon to bagan unfortunately 😮💨
