That, my friend, is not a clone, its a piece of junk. Ziarex has Swiss-made replicas, the same as the originals. Compared to his watches, this is nothing
I feel these are so underrated
Before, there was only China selling replicas and manufacturing them, but now ZiaRex is the best in the world and operates from Europe.

I tried many, but those guys are no joke, they sell something that you cannot buy anywhere else.
It may fool someone from afar but yeah, lots of red flags! I think the 3 hertz sweep and those hour markers are what I noticed right away. lol at “fudor” 🤣👍 Nice video man!

Good review. When my company transferred me to Europe, my colleagues, who are not overly into watches, bought me a fake Patek. Since they didn't realize how wrong this was, I didn't make it an issue. I must admit that it was done quite well but for obvious reasons I never wore the watch.

Terrific video Joe. Great tips and advice. This is why it is so important before making a purchase to do the proper research, carefully analyze the piece, ask for proper packaging & documentation. If in doubt consult an expert. Some fakes are easier to spot, but some others are much harder. I've read of rather expensive Rolex fakes, which come with high end Swiss movements with engraving and markings that closely match those of the real deal. The higher the price tag the more careful one has to be.

Yeah at first I thought it was trying to replicate the black bay 925 but even the bezel color and dial is off.
you mean like with the white letters, second markers, stuff like that? Because im sure you know the Original BB was black on black but with their bronze color for the seconds, hours, and wording :)
Great vid! Yeah I would think that looking at the inside would definitely be the easiest way to tell, even if the outside is actually a convincing fake.

Good stuff. I don't even think the movement is a Miyota, I think it is something Chinese. One big tell tale sign that the black one is a fake is that Tudor doesn't even have this colorway in these dimensions. I wonder where you got the fake? 🤔😅🤣😉

The Tudor GMT is one of my favorite watches period. I would definitely want it over the Rolex GMT Pepsi, and if someone offered be either one, I would take the Rolex, sell it, but a Tudor and Pocket the rest.

I got a black bay of eBay that went to an Authenticator first the warranty card did not came with a date of purchase though? Why is this should I be worried
Great video. The problem is that this method requires an exact genuine and a timegrapher on hand. Realistically buying online or even in the shop doesn’t provide any of those conveniences. Hence all these in majority of cases are after the fact.

That fake is on the cheaper side. There are more expensive fakes out there that are way closer to the real thing.

The black model on the left doesn't even exist. I have just seen a BB58 that was very convincing from the outside. Serial number and model number were engraved in the correct way, the elements were all there, bracelet and crown looked correct etc. - One thing again here: Tudor uses Arial for the text on the dial. Like many companies they should have a bespoke brand font and not bottom shelf MS Word fonts. It's just another hurdle for the fakers.

Also one of the easiest ways is by looking at the person wearing it. Like, yeah, you're working at the gas station wearing a DayDate..
Thanks for watching. I would disagree with you as this sentiment gets a lot of salesmen to lose commission as they treat people differently based on perception. A person at a gas station could be retired and working there to keep busy. Hell, maybe he owns the gas station or was simply handed down the watch. Qualifying people is a mistake as we should never assume.

@@JJ-ug8np nah, if I saw someone at a gas station with a enthusiast watch, It's more believable. If someone has an Oris of some kind, a Hamilton, a Speedy, a Prospex, I wouldn't jump to fake.
You know Rolex and Royal Oaks are just every faux baller's go-to choice. Not watch people. They don't even know what the rep they're wearing is supposed to be. It's an older gent, as you imply, the owner somehow doing a shift, then there should be a nice car parked out back to because he's not bussing it either.
You call it judging, in the real world it's reading people. It's 100% easy to tell who's frontin' if you have more than 6 brain cells and don't breathe from your mouth. Like it or not, inferences and 'judgment' is an extremely accurate barometer with a very slim failure ratio.

Fastest way to spot fake Tudor Black Bays, and Pelagos are the bezels, period. A genuine Black Bay bezel is 1.5mm high or 'thick', in this video you can spot the fakeness of the one on the left a 01:14 in the video because of how tall the bezel is, that works every time 100%. Even ZF reps are a wee bit thicker than a gen. The 2nd "tell" on a fake Tudor is the dial itself- Tudor dials on the Black Bay line are slightly convex, meaning they curve somewhat down at the edges and are a bit higher in the middle- 90% of the fakes out there have flat dials. And finally, lume plots- Fakes always have over-filled, bubble lume plots, gens are flat.
