    I thought I was training hard and intensely until I trained with Dorian. His methods work, I got stronger and put mass on, I chose to do this naturally but followed his nutrition and supplementation advice. Zero bullshit, no short cuts, just blood and guts.

    Yeah I was doing bicycling in my job every hour I have to do around see a riding a bike throughout an 8-hour shift when I started this new job I started losing weight I had kept continuing losing weight as they kept bicycling I wasn't lifting weights I was getting used to doing the cardio now finally I've adjusted to the cardio and now I'm starting to lift the weights now so lift weights about you 1 hour a day upper body and then do chest and let in the leg hamstring but I'm not doing any squats yet to figure out what I'm going to do about the legs I play tennis so I'm doing well in that I know cardiovascular I can tell that I'm in pretty good shape and now I'm trying to put some muscle on and I'm feeling better once I start lifting weights the other day I noticed it feel a lot and the muscles are growing super fast I have some type of good genes for bodybuilding just I take your weights like water I don't know why but muscle grows like instantly I can see my arms and and my chest already in one day just like they're all puffed up and I feel a lot different on bodybuilding but so I continue working out you know with you know dumbbells and free weights and you know and then in the next day I'll be doing a chest and then I do hamstrings at my house cuz I got the dumbbells so see if it should see some difference after a little while see it happens I do quite a few exercises

    Building muscle is simple, you have to lift enough to make the muscle work harder than it has worked before. It will not grow if it is lifting the same or less than last time, it has no reason to do so, it only grows if you put it under more pressure than it is used to. Too many people make the mistake of easy workouts. A workout should be hell.

    Hello Dorian, an affectionate greeting. I alternate strength days with cardio. I also enjoy cardio and every time I want to run more, like two hours, my question is if there is a way to avoid catabolism? or is it negligible compared to the gains from training? Would it be advisable to take a supplement in the middle of cardio? Thank you.

    @douglashagan65 Před 2 lety

    Yeah I'm seeing if 24 hours will be enough you know I can see that I got bigger pretty quickly on the biceps and the chest just one workout on but and then I do a different exercise so as long as I'm doing different exercises every 24 hours I mean some people's opinion it's every 48 hours but you know I've seen people who work the same muscle every single day for years and yeah it does affect that is really give their body much time to rebuild itself but they're still big but yeah I just have to see how the body reacts if you do better three times a week space or whether I like working out so I'm going to try you know the 45 minutes or whatever it is or hour a day and then just keep mixing up the muscle groups of different exercises so that I don't hit it same muscle twice in a day so

    My problem is that when I don't get my heart rate up before a workout, my workout will suck because I don't even break out a sweat and I feel like my muscles are not as ingaged or even stimulated.
    For about two months I did nothing but strength training and I felt like I was making zero progress. The only thing I felt I was doing was putting too much pressure on my joints and didn't feel like I was training right . I also got a bad neck strain that futher hindered my workouts dramatically.
    This last week I re introduced a small amount of cardio pre workout . It's usually 3-3 minute rounds of jump and 2-3 min rounds of shadow boxing . It's usually about 17 mins total and then I jump right into my training . I feel like my muscles are more ingaged and I feel a burn after like I actually worked out .
    Then Saturday and Sundays It's all cardio in the mornings .
    What does anyone think about my program ? Any advice ?

    I remember I was giving a book by someone on bill pearl. And I remember him saying in his book the importance about recovery etc. I was giving weights and I started working out 3 days a week. I made progress. Then I started mixing with other gym goers and joined the local meat head gym. They were all on steroids and started preaching bro splits etc. they all worked out the same way. Then I started reading celebrity workout mags and stuff. I totally abandoned bill pearls book and started training like everyone else. 17 years later my body has only chained slightly with age. I started Mike Menzers workout and I am already seeing results and progress and more then 17 years. I have my training mojo back at 33 and am ready to work.

    I have to say thank you for everything ….. my question is : About HIT ..if my first workout let say chest and back on a Monday… is that mean my 2nd workout legs on Tuesday or is it on Friday?( Tuesday,Wednesday and Thursday are they a rest days?)…..

    • @danielprest5887
      @danielprest5887 Před 2 lety +1

      Dorian used to train 2 days rest 1 day while doing blood and guts/HiT training.
      So for example, monday chest bicep, tuesday legs, wed rest, thurs shoulders triceps friday back, rest saturday, then start chest again on the sunday.
      This means the each muscle group gets trained every six days.
      Hope this helps.

    So much information out there and very little honesty.. or should I say, the advice is biased to the person giving the advice whether they are selling something or the idea that you can achieve what they have... and that not the reality.
    DY is a genuine guy and although he wasn't a movie star like Arnold he is every bit as much as a legend not only for his contribution to the sport of body building but for his attitude to life and self-discovery.

      you might find doing a few treadmill sprints fun... (alternate 5 min of 3.5 mph walking with 40-50 second jogs at 4.8 mph to start, repeat 5-6 times; after a few weeks, increase speed of the last few runs to 5.3 mph, then 5.5 mph, etc....; over the course of a few months, you can build up to doing 11 mph sprints, which really gets one huffing for breath. You will notice the heartrate going down over time, however, unless increasing the workload, a sign the heart is adapting)
