A Saturday PLE Draft sounds good! It doesn't clutter the shows (especially Raw which is already cluttered). The picks were definitely hits and misses. Especially since most of the "kept" picks for shows were already signed to the shows just before the draft.
I love the idea of single picks. It would make it seem less planned. Having multiple picks announced together emphasizes that the decisions are made together.
My idea for the Drfat, would be to change how it worked.
Basically, each Brand could protect like a certain number of wrestler before the Draft and the rest would be available to be drafted.
That way you can reate story of champions not being protected, or Superstars feeling undervalued etc and want revenge on the other GM/Brand (Survivor Serie)
And the a classic draft with less pick, so like 1 pick from each Brand per Round so it feels less "scripted" and you could make a rule that if the 2 Brand selected the same wrestler in the same round then it's the wrestler choice (once again you build story for Brand feud or other wrestler, like a wrestler saying one champ is an easy win to get a title etc..)
Either that or just make it trades

1 Damage CTRL new challenges & feuds for Becky Lynch which is a good thing IMO
2 Bron Breakker there are alot of great wrestlers he can work with on RAW such as McIntyre Gunther Dragonov Dijax Zayn Gable Sheamus Dunne Bate Lee Mysterio Balor Priedt
3 Lyra Valkirya they are slowly doing a Liv heel turn given her history with Becky Lynch & the lack of top babyfaces she can be RAW number two babyface
4 NIA JAX she can work with the likes of Jade Bianca Naomi Bayley & Charlotte
5 Carmello Hayes he was put in the Finn Balor role from 2016 draft as an NXT guy being drafted early very much the company heâs important. He wrestled Cody on night one & was endorsed they clearly have a plan with Hayes.
6 DIY they were only tag team from RAW to move over. Triple H has allowed to have 15 to 20 minutes matches on tv & itâs helped get them over. Looking at the SmackDown tag division they feel like they are being positioned as the number one babyface tag team. Also with SummerSlam being in Cleveland Ohio the hometown of Johnny Gargano I think that will be the event where they win the tag titles. While I enjoyed the DX comedy itâs run itâs course & Iâm fine with them being moved away from Awesome Truth.
7 Andrade I wish him & Zelina were put back together but his presentation & booking has been solid since his return & given SmackDown has a smaller roster than RAW moving him there suggests heâs going to be more spotlighted moving forward.
8 Blair Davenport she has a lot of upside & there are a lot of babyfaces on the SmackDown for her to work with
Misses
1 La Knight feels like he will be stuck in the mid card on a positive he can dethrone Logan Paul for The US Title
2 Chelsea Green I think WWE missed out on the chance to do a fun storyline where no one drafts Chelsea Green as none of the three GM wanna put up with her & she has to earn a contract similar to Heath Slater in 2016
I don't get how people think la knight movie to raw is good move for him lol and they actually think la knight will be whc champ is absurd.
World heavyweight championship is already going in the hands of Damien to drew and then drew punk seth till next WrestleMania so la knight has 0 chance to win world heavyweight championship till next year WrestleMania unless he wins mitb to have quick run.
L.a knight is also nowhere near in international championship scene because it is booked by the people like Chad, Bronson, sheamus and bron to win that title first.
Good thing for la knight on SmackDown is he is legitimate contender for united States title along with randy and carmello

I like your idea for sprinkling in picks and integrating it into backstage stuffâŠAldis running around, etc. but having only just returned to wrestling at the royal rumble after 20 plus years away, I was a little lost on context. Does it matter who is going where? Is he staying with the brand or moving and does that having any potential ripple effect? Iâm quickly googling to find stuff out but canât quite pin anything down for storylines. So I truly love your idea. I think that would make it more fun and engaging while sneaking in informative context.
I always enjoyed when they had matches to decide draft picks, I think around 2011. Not so much of a sports feel to it, but made the show fun to watch and gave us new matches to work with.

I agree the draft wasnât big but at least there was some changes to the roster
Some changes isn't needed allot of changes is needed it's like me saying I got some of my pay check this month lol no one wants that
I think the format of the draft shouldn't include 4 picks per round. I think it should just be RAW and Smackdown trading rounds and only gets one pick from an opposite brand (RAW can select from either Smackdown or NXT and Smackdown can pick from RAW or NXT) that way it feels like an actual shake-up again. All the while, non-drafted wrestler are assumed to stay on their respective show.
Even if they lock the champions, I'm fine with that, but only if they hold the drafts starting on the RAW AFTER a PLE, like Backlash, and then can build toward the next PLE based on the new roster. Therefore, winning a title match at Backlash is what secures you to the roster you're currently on. So then, if a champion loses, it can sell the story of them potentially not getting a rematch if they end up drafted to the other show.
my option on the draft is, itâs not hyped up enough, it would be good to see them do like a press conference type thing, sit all of the wrestlers from monday night raw and smack down watching in the audience and everyone from NXT in the performance centre like they did this time. then the wrestler who gets drafted has to come up to the stage and talk for a few minutes, that would be 200% better
I think Judgement day staying on Raw was a good idea, because there was this moment at a recent live event where Finn was on the ground looking a the WHC. So it kinda makes me think that we might get Finn vs Damien, maybe at King & Queen of the ring.

Right now I have decided to do a Universe centered around 1990-94 wcw. I feel its overlooked a lot, or looked at purely for botches or goofy bits.
You still had vader, steiners, sting, luger (for a bit), flair (for a bit), steve austin, brian pillman, ddp, pre-wwe hall and nash, dusty, shane douglas, pre-wwe dustin rhodes, etc etc
Every game ever has focused on the golden era, monday night wars, ruthless agression, or new gen yearsâŠ..but not wcw around that 1990-94 run, and it is sorely overlooked.
You even get early paul heyman,
And wcw runs of steamboat, jake roberts, and Rick Rude. That era of wcw needs attention. After all, it was the 1994-96 era that has the âdungeon of doomâ stink. Wcw 1990-94 has a lot of charm and hidden gems and a STACKED roster of talent that would grow to shape the attitude/nwo era.
How to fix the draft:
Do a special first Saturday after Mania⊠Both GM draw numbers 1-30, 15 picks each (yes GMs can have back to back picks)
Raw can only pick Smackdown & NXT
Smackdown can only pick Raw & NXT
**Everyone gets drafted individually**
9 picks for men
6 picks for women
Champions can stay protected prior to the draft
After the first overall 10 picks the GMs can protect 5 undrafted superstars to stay on their roster
At the end of the draft, each roster will have 15 new superstars instead of drafting the entire roster from âscratchâ
Chelsea Green & Piper Niven on SmackDown has interesting potential, not for thier team, but for when Sonya DeVille returns. Piper Niven was a replacement. She forced her way into a team with Chelsea Green when Sonya DeVille went down with injury. So when Sonya comes back you could put her on SmackDown and add her to the team of Chelsea & Piper and being Chelsea's original partner Piper starts getting the shaft in favor of Sonya. Which could lead to Piper getting a singles run, or Sonya turns on Chelsea because she sees Piper as a stronger ally. Chelsea is getting an NXT Woman's Championship Match next week though.
Yea the draft doesnât feel natural enough to really sell it. I think they need to literally draft an entire 50 person roster individually and have it go back in forth between brands. Also you need all the big superstars to not be exempt so that people actually maintain interest in the draft program.
For those that are familiar with Lyra Valkyria, look up her matches against Rhea and Becky. That girl is going to be a beast in the ring, she was one of the few women in WWE that Rhea had to really put in work to defeat.
When they do the draft again they should only do the wrestlers that are switching brands not ones that are staying, after the show then you can announce on social media who staying
I agree with you on Chelsea Green needing to go on a strong solo run. I would also like to see Piper be more of a powerhouse single competitor as well. Had they split Piper and Chelsea between the brands, I think WWE could have a fun segment with Piper and Adam Pierce where she talks about how she never really cared for Chelsea. Instead we got a weird digital special where she tells Nick Aldis that she can't wait to make his life miserable. If there were mid-card titles on both brands, each of them could be champion material.
Matt did i not hear it it right that i think that if jade AND bianca win that the kabuki warriors would have to go to the smackdown brand because they lost em to an opposing brand team and basically they replace jade and bianca on the smackdown brand and the only way that they could stay on the raw brand is if they lose to a raw team. That was how i understood it

I'm really hoping Sonya Deville comes back and joins Chelsea and Piper. Piper and Sonya could be a badass tag team and they can back up a Chelsea singles push, especially if they add a midcard title.
Yeah should have done it like a real nfl/nba type draft. There was no balance to picks or interest in the chosen picks

To me you haven't been Drafted if you're staying on the same show.. They should only Draft Superstars going from RAW to SmackDown and vice versa!
Also they announce Ricochet is going from RAW to RAW but not Baron Corbin who is going from NXT back to SmackDown! Thats a Draft pick i want to see LIVE!! They completely messed it up..

I respectfully disagree with u on LA Knight going to Raw even now that Raw is very stacked in the singles division idk what LA Knight would do on Raw the IC Title scene is too full and World Title scene will be punk and Drew for the summer at least on Smackdown they got plans for him in the summer program with Logan Paul will be very good for him and winning his first singles championship will be that much better for him for him eventually winning a world title next year

The WWE draft is useless. All the superstars eventually jump from brand to brand anyways. The only high point is when superstars get called up from nxt.
