@AssembleShow Hi Matt in this video you eloquently covered what's wrong with this year's DLC Packs Timing and the intricacies of obtaining MyFaction Pack Persona Cards 🎴 are and the lack thereof. I have been grinding out MyFaction to receive Persona Cards 🎴 and I haven't been able to obtain any ever since John Cena's Elite Persona Cards. I am close to Level 11 in MyFaction and finished all the Weekly Towers and Live Events with 0 Persona Cards available to me. Matt, I would do these DLC Packs as you mentioned. First, I would have a DLC line-up every month starting April and ending in the month of September encompassing a total of 6 DLC Packs. Then, all my DLCs would include Legends, NXT, and WWE Superstars with Legendary Arenas. In the End Patch updates extensively fixing gameplay and adding more MyFaction Persona Cards 🎴. Matt, I want to thank you for addressing your and concerns with 2k24's shortcomings.I know 2k devs. are working hard and tirelessly to bring us the best products.

The worst part of the McAfee pack to me is... it pushes the other 2 packs I actually want further to the back of the year. Fine, waste an entire pack slot with characters nobody wants, but put it at the end.

There’s so much talent in the wwe roster is feels like a huge waste to push them aside for loud = funny streamers
Granted I’m not 10 years old and the only reason WWE brings them in is to get younger viewers from social media. Idk if it works though.

I think CURRENT superstars should come early. Kairi being so late when she’s a woman’s tag champ is kinda ridiculous. All later DLCs should be added legends/personalities.

The McAfee pack is even worse if you live outside the US as those names are quite literally non entities and mean as much as plucking a few random people off the street and putting them in a dlc pack.

Good point about managers. If a character isn't playable, you shouldn't be paying for it. If managers are part of a DLC, then they should be a bonus on top of the playable wrestlers in that pack.
One of the biggest problems with this years DLC isn’t just the content in the packs but the roll-out. There’s no reason consumers should be getting not one but two packs lacking current stars from the company before getting the Global Superstars pack. And the fact that there’s an entire pack where the majority of it aren’t non-WWE employees when there are plenty of NXT talent that could & should have been in the game is just disheartening.

To be honest I am glad most of the DLC are legends and alumni this year.
2K22 focused more on legends but also gave us some current people, mostly from NXT.
2K23 focused too much on NXT compared to legends and since I didn't know most of them it kind of dampered the experience.
idc about packs if they just fixed patched and updated the game i would be mroe happy about that
The biggest problem I have with the DLC packs are they only include bonus susperstars. No bonus Arenas/Shows or Championships. I believe 2k games rips people off with the hype each year. They need to include more in these DLC packs!
That Global Stars pack is what all the DLC should look like. The fact that we have to wait till September for a large majority of the current roster stars is completely unacceptable. Thats the pack that should have been leading right out of the gate in May.

It's pretty frustrating that they reveal the DLC so late. I would have absolutely saved money knowing I would only use a total of 5 characters throughout all of the packs. CM Punk being one. The rest of them being in the September pack. I've been bored with the game for about 2-3 weeks. And now I'm stuck just simply waiting for DLC. Happens too often.
I just honestly don't care about the pat McAfee pack. I mean, cool, his buddies are in It, but guys like Lexis King and Luca Crucifino were robbed of a spot. The only other problem I have is the fact that they spaced these damn packs out so much. I mean, I barely play anymore, just cause I've kind of lost interest in it without these dlcs being released

Apparently developers said nobody lost a spot in the game for anybody,majority of dlc and main roster was already set so outside of punk and jade anybody who missed out was intentional

What I would’ve done is like how in 2K23, they had that bad bunny pack that was outside of the season pass, they could’ve done that with the Mcafee pack that way we could’ve gotten an open spot
I’m one that likes my roster as accurate as possible. That way i can have a realistic universe and a My GM with a roster thats accurate. The fact that the biggest pack. IS IN SEPTEMBER. Is revolting. Like, i have to wait 6 months for 6 active roster members that have been on the TV for the better part of the last year.
Lyra won the NXT championship in fucking October of 2023 she just lost it on April absolutely in fucking same she wasn’t part of the base game. And the fact we don’t have access to her until the end of the year is absolutely insane. 6 months for a MAINEVENT superstar who was on tv weekly for most of the year is insane
Here's the problem with the Pat DLC: He says he made sure it wouldn't take the place of any other content. But that's already not true because it's not the final DLC pack. This means we are waiting an additional month for the DLC pack that comes AFTER his. If his pack wasn't in the game, we would get the following DLC sooner. This only works if his DLC is the final DLC as a bonus.
Not only that, but folks have datamined info and elements implying 2K was working on folks like Jakara Jackson, Naomi and Eddy Thorpe and just didn't finish them. That's most of a DLC just right there, and instead of them we get Pat's buddies.
For that not to affect other content, knowing what we know about the tight schedule they have, they would need an extra pipeline to get that done without affecing any other timeframes. Would they hire extra people and get that pipeline going JUST to get this shitty DLC out? I highly doubt it.
They were just trying to bullshit people, it's ridiculous.

I was so pumped to play with Nia and Kairi, mainly on universe mode. By the time the DLC comes, i'll be 2-3 months without touching the game, and then will pay for the damn pack ans start a new UM. Maybe that's what 2K wants, thinking about social media and keeping the product relevant in a longer timeline. It sucks for me.

crazy to think that they didn't scan McAfee's guys until late Feb, March after game was rolling out...... get some of the NXT rising stars like James, Ruca, rest of Meta Four with their entrance and couple others ..... then roll out a free pack with AOP, Andrade, Naomi, and others that came back to WWE in that big stretch of time between Packs 3 and 4
If you spend $120 on a game and WWE makes said game outdated a month after release by updating all their titles and arenas, we should get new titles and arenas as part of the DLC instead of non wrestlers
I’m 100% fine with every DLC pack except one. The one with Pat Mcafee’s friends, again no offense to them but the only person people will be playing as is Pat Mcafee himself. BTW it’s my birthday 🎉🎂

I just want them to bring back the New Moves DLC. That's always one of my favorite parts of the new WWE games is what new moves outside of WWE they add and this year was pretty thin on new moves. We didn't even get the Tequila Shot, and Tatum Paxley has been using it as her finisher since November.
I figure those extra moves are what the Pat DLC is for tbh....
The Pat Mcafee pack could have been Legends Tag team pack (they’re aren’t enough old school tag teams) Road Warriors, Freebirds, Arn/Tully, Midnight Express, Rock n Roll Express, Bushwackers, Money inc, Natural Disasters, Hollywood Blonds, Los Guerreros, The Rockers, Wild Samoans. So many teams that they could add.
Los Guerreros would have been good. The others might have legal disputes with WWE

@AssembleShow I mean, I see similar. Maybe not the same things, but they definitely need to quit dragging their heels on the WMXL arena. The spacing out on DLC is ridiculous too. Especially with the last one being so close to the end of the year and so close to the next game.
The so-named WCW Pack is the one 'm the absolutely most looking forward to. DDP, Mr. Perfect, and The Great Muta. Not to mention Lex Luger and The Iron Sheik. I can definitely get some use out of that. Damn shame I'll have to wait so long for it. Pat McAfee Show pack.... kind of reminds me of when the WCW Nitro game included such classic bonus characters as the wrestling horse, Hoof Hearted, and all his friends. OK, it's better than that, but I'd still swap it out for that last one if I could.
The pat DLC I would have liked Lola Vice, Lash legend, Sol ruca & Maybe Meiko I was saying sol because cm punk is in the game so I am guessing they scanned him in the game close to the 2k release date me personally I think WWE should maybe talk about doing the scanning for 2k a little early for like if a new talent gets injured & they can’t be scanned in the game sol ruca for example if she was scanned prior to getting injured she would be in the 2k game but with pat dlc we better get new moves
For the Pat Pack, 2k if they didnt want to add more wrestlers then why not do Pat with Cole, Graves and a 4th commentator like a fun goofy 4th pack

This insufficient space issue doesn’t let me download anything in community creations and this problem has been occurring for over a month now, wasn’t able to download anything status had or any wrestlemania 40 attires , that’s all I want fixed at this point I barely play it now
I expect the next patch to actually tighten the image memory limit rather than lift it. This isn’t a glitch but intentionally placed by 2K.

I think the reason that Jade Cargill's pack is in September is because Jade really hasn't had a full singles match yet. Outside of a quick squash against of quick squash against Chelsea Green. I agree Dragon Lee and Lyra should have been on the base game, but that is what it is. As for the Pat McAfee pack, I view that as a quasi new moves pack because 2K might give those guys really cool moves for my creations, which is what I use the DLC for. I've never cared who the DLC is, I care about the moves I can get for my CAWs.

By the time the all these packs are out a good number of people might be on to something else alot of wrestling gamers also are waiting for the long awaited college football game. Also as you said the dawg days of summer then real football is underway... the gaps are horrible
I thought I was developing mental issues when I realised 2 weeks ago that the game was only out a month. Feel like I've been playing for 3.
The one thing I wish more of these videos would discuss about the McAfee pack is the number of DLC characters this year vs. last that have actually wrestled matches. We are getting the same basic number of people who've done something in WWE rings.
My complaints are it should be last and should be sold much cheaper than the a la carte prices of the other packs or included in one of the other packs.
Lash Legend should have been in. Bam Bam Bigelow? Greg Valentine? Brutus Beefcake? Earthquake and Typhoon..LOD..OBA Femi..Sycho Sid..like there's just SOOOO many more names that could have been in other then the stupid McAfee pals pack.
The weird thing is, the packs themselves (with one notable exeption) are great! It's been a long time since we've had the likes of Sandman, Terry Funk, Carlito, Honky Tonk Man, Great Muta, etc. It's just the rollout (and Pack McAfee) that are the problems. If they just put the Pat Packafee at the end and moved up the other dates, I think it would've gone done a lot smoother.
Hi, I think the dlc is great. My favourite wrestler is Mr. Perfect and I’m so happy that he’s in the game. The sad thing is, we have to wait until November for the WCW dlc.
I wish at this point they would go to an every 2-3 years major update releases with updates (wrestlers, attires, arenas, etc) throughout the years in between.
I know "live service" is a 4-letter word, but this would be the best way for content to stay currently while holding on to wrestlers who may have left between annual releases.
The pac macfee dlc should of been all the announcers like Michael Cole, Corey Graves Wade Barrett you know he's already in the game and then also have like the general managers as playable characters. Something like that

I think this is why it's so important to do free cosmetic updates in-between the Paid DLC: Creation Suite updates (new hair, new moves, etc.)

They'll probably use Sandman's WWECW theme. "Enter Sandman" would be as awesome as the fact we got the Disturbed version of Austin's music. 2K had "Sad But True" on the 2K23 soundtrack, but petty sure licensing "Enter Sandman" would cost a crap ton more. Would like to hear "Bombshell" for the Dudley's music, but I don't think that will happen either, sadly.

I agree with everything you said. But what annoys me more than anything else. Is the time frame for the releases. Especially since they're starting to cut the game off sooner to force you to get the new one. When the last pack releases it will pretty much be time for the next game to come out.
Hiding characters behind pay walls has always been stupid, but as long as fans keep buying it, they'll keep doing it. Even if this model is mostly outdated at this point.

This seems like a thing with games now with dlc packs and stretching them out throughout the year instead of back to back like they used to, even tekken dlc have just started to be pushed back one for each season which is crazy
The large gaps are frustrating, the previous 2 games the DLCs were done by August. Honestly for a yearly release, I thought even that was too far. The Superstars that were in the last DLC packs hardly got any play from me, because by that time I had already moved on to other games. I also hate that I have to wait until September to get pretty much any Women from the DLC, since they crammed them all into 1 pack. Ridiculous.
I don't think it's a bad season pass honestly. I'm most looking forward to the 4th pack. Love the opening btw

On the note of the myfaction persona cards, it’s less than 2% per “oddity” card and apparently you need a few of these cards to unlock each persona card so, unless you’re pumping money into the myfaction side, it’s basically impossible

I'm pretty frustrated with the actual DLC content although I did still pay for the season pass fully aware of what packs were coming. I exclusively play Universe Mode and with the way I play, the only packs I actually care about the ECW/Punk Pack and Global Superstars Pack.

I totally agree with everything you said in your video(by the way, great video and I love your new set up). My first reaction to the Pat MacAfee Pack was…..WTF!!!! Who are these guys!!!! A very big miss on 2k for this stupid move. And now into the DLC packs……I do agree on that too; they need to start having the first DLC Pack to drop within a week or 2 after the game drops. Yes, I thought if the same thing when I saw the last DLC Pack doesn’t drop until the end of November. Why do we have to wait so long for that? 2k needs to fix the game from all the glitches and bugs so this game will be more fun. Now don’t get me wrong, I still play this game(Universe Mode for me). I hardly ever see any glitches. I think nose of the glitches and bugs are in Creations Suite, My Faction, Online, My GM Mode. I hardly ever see any glitches or bugs in Universe Mode. Anyway, great video. I try to watch all your videos but working 6 days a week, then when I get home, all I wanna do is just ‘Game’. So I hardly ever go to CZcams, unless I’m bored or see a video I wanna watch.

If I was to change anything, I replace the Mcafee pack with Mcafee, and other stars. Plus include new moves patch as a homage to the new moves pack they had back then. I feel a new moves pack dlc wouldn’t really work today considering now we get 2 extra moves patched in each time. Btw, 10-15 extra patch new moves be best
only thing that can save this is if the McAfee dlc is jus one big new moves pack

I wish we could add our own music for the entrances like in wwe'12 and I also wish they brought back the omg moments as well.

Sandman mostly will have the ECW theme they'd use it when the ECW originals would pop up on raw. Ps a lot or people don't know before ExtrmeCW sand man was a surfer and walked around with a surf bord in EasternCW.
I think it's a travesty that the most relatable pack to the current product doesn't launch until September with Jade, Dragon Lee, and Kairi Sane. But yeah we got Pat McAfee and his Goofy band of misfits that I'll never use in my game before them? Head scratching moves from 2K for sure

I can make my own fun and keep the game fresh for myself with Community Creations but the image download limit glitch (I can't seem to download more than 600 something images when it's always been 1,000 in previous games) is preventing me from doing that at the moment. I don't even want to play anymore until this is fixed.
As a player that only plays my own custom universe mode, I’m really only interested in getting Punk and the Dudley boyz. I would love if they had an Andrade I could get, but it doesn’t look like it
I’ve really enjoyed MyFaction but it’s a constant waiting game. Basically caught up on everything and not much to do beside Live Events every few days. I’ll likely buy the CM Punk DLC and that’s it.
Just watching your video has made me think of something that could have made the Pat McAfee pack better. Make a gridiron pack. There are copious amounts of professional wrestlers who played football. Or even see if you can reach out make a deal with some of the football players who have had stents in the WWE. We had refrigerator Perry and LT for instance. But even if we just did the wrestlers, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Mongo, Droz and Brian Pillman are all people that seemingly are still in good standing with the company. And then it's also a way to celebrate Droz and Mongo.
