In my opinion I don’t think la knight should beat logan in his hometown at summerslam especially since logan is on a amazing run but I do think la knight needs a title possibly at wrestlemaina?

The draft was completely underwhelming. Felt like a "filler episode"
Draft Night 1 was underwhelming because most people stayed where they were. Carmelo had a nice showing against Cody and is definitely gonna be a top player on SD. Pretty cool that Kiana James got called up to RAW, WWE clearly see something in her and that’s amazing
Honestly, they should go back to the old Draft style from 2007-2011, where a few wrestlers (8, 12, however many in total) would be drafted from one show to the other. Having a full scale draft, while many wrestlers end up on the same brands anyway, kind of kills some of the excitement. The excitement comes from who's going to change brands.

I was kind of disappointed. I feel like more NXT people should have been called up, and little to no show swaps.
Carmelo Hayes I was expecting to be on smackdown because he was on there before when they had the US title tournament.
Bron Breakker signed to SmackDown in Feburary, barley appeared, got Def Rebeled and drafted to Raw. What's the logic?
He had many appearances on smackdown they were quick matches

I think the reason why the draft was the way it was because WWE doesn’t have plans for wrestlers if they were to switch. Vince would’ve put wrestlers in random brands without any plans if he was in charge.
I hope Monday has more Oomph. Apparently Netflix wanted A-Town Down Under for Raw.
This draft wasn’t about superstars moving shows its to establish the brands for the new era
The draft was fine. Not a lot of shake ups but some of the call ups are going to be fun! Carmelo was awesome imo. Glad main roster audience will get to see him wrestle more often now! For those that don’t keep up with NXT of course.

I’m glad they didn’t move champions. I did notice 7 stars/teams didn’t get drafted. Usually they draft those after the show but that didn’t happen this year so what happens to those that don’t get drafted?
Andrade was sick in the C2 on AEW last year I want to see him have a streak of singles wins in WWE this year
I have no issues of them keeping the champions on their shows. it beats what we had been doing the past draft. i wish we had guys change shows like AJ styles and LA Knight on Raw.

@@AssembleShow tbh I disagree with you on LA Knight going raw because Raw is a three hour show and you Know Raw wouldn't feature LA Knight on the card they probably put him in segments and I don't mind LA Knight staying Smackdown because Smackdown use LA Knight more and He wasn't going to be used in RAW Anyway he'll push to catering.

Underwhelming is the best word I can think of. I would have much preferred if they only done the people that were moving instead of announcing someone staying on Raw or SmackDown. I would’ve also liked it if they done a little bit more with wrestlers moving to NXT. Maybe that’ll be part of Raw, hopefully.
I like the Champions not getting draft this year. I think this draft is for changing the division contenders.

Kianna James to me was the biggest surprise roster move to raw!
90% of it was just GMs using up draft picks to protect stars they already had. Most of the actual picks were NXT call-ups. Not much of a shakeup, which defeats the whole purpose of the draft.
There was a disclaimer by HHH before the start of the brand where he said that the GMs would be using this opportunity to fight for the roster they currently have. That's a good rationalization of the roster staying put.
IMO, I don't agree with wrestlers switching brands on a yearly basis. At some point, you got to have wrestlers that personify the brand. I really can't imagine Seth Rollins moving to Smackdown because to me, he's a Raw guy. Same with AJ Styles(The face that runs the place) and The Undertaker.
Yep. Some guys and gals need to be on the same brand for a long time. Usually those are the locker room leaders that stick to the same brand and I think I’ve heard someone say Seth is that guy, so I’m sure he’s always gonna be on Raw for that reason. Randy Orton for SmackDown’s locker room leader makes sense too.
Is anyone else not remembering that Carmelo signed a contract with smackdown a few months ago? He “signed” around the same time Jade and Bron did
Yeah did they went back to NXT again for apparent no reason just like how bron did sign to sd last year but went back to NXT again

@@tygoodridge9972 WWE just realised they weren't ready for him because of ongoing storyline and maintaining each superstar so they send him back to NXT just like they did to bron last year he was on SmackDown for 2 weeks then went to nxt for 2nd run. WWE sadly selected them at wrong time where they had no plans for them at all but now they definitely had plans for all NXT call up, I can see all NXT call up will make their name established in main roster this year itself
They should bring back that thing with the table tennis balls so it’ll be more unpredictable

I think we wanted more of a shake up but I can understand when Triple H was saying it’s as much of keeping and protecting their superstars while trying to add to their rosters. So it makes sense that a lot of people didn’t move. Hopefully night 2 will be better and maybe NXT gets a night 3

I feel like WWE kind of tipped their hand with the draft based on the storylines that's been happening since Wrestlemania. Once they announced that the champs were staying on their brands, we pretty much knew how this was going. Still enjoyed the show though.

I thought night 1 would have a bunch of changes only good Draft was probably Carmelo the rest were really the same love the vids keep it up.
During the draft there were minimal changes between the roster. I didn't like how big people were staying on the same brand. Besides the NXT call ups there were like 2 changes between the entire roster. I really hope the draft picks on Raw make the draft feel alive because overall I felt it was just "hey were gonna keep these guys on the same brand"

Personally i liked the draft night 1 i think theres probably more suprises or shocks coming on monday...1 thing i am curious about where is NXTs presence they made it kinda sound like its time to build them as a third brand and maybe they would get a few picks they got nothing..it seems like future drafts are probably going to focus more on NXT folks coming up and not so much current roster switching up which im cool with they should just maybe have a trade period or something through out the year that would be fun..

I would have preferred the GM's making the picks. Let them protect a certain number of wrestlers to their brand and could use them to set up trades etc. Plus you can get the shot of the opposing GM's disappointment when the other GM makes a pick they wanted. I would find this much much more exciting

And also Ilja Dragunov joining imperium, similar to John Cena joining the Nexus?
I had no interest in a draft this year, so I am glad there are not many changes so far. I do wish LA Knight had moved, but I am good with everything else that has occurred so far.
It feels like they're saving more for Raw possibly. It kinda just felt, there last night. Melo had a cool showing though!

I think what everyone is missing is that there are probably stories that they are going to tell that we have yet to see and that's why there were alot of people un moved..let's just hang out and see also to there could be trades coming people defecting to other brands etc...

I think it makes sense with the champions staying on their brand versus just mismatching the wwe and world champions it enforces the brand split but besides that definitely should have shaken up the rest of the roster more understandable they wanted to make their shows centerpieces remain on their shows but some of the wrestlers that haven’t been over should definitely swap brands
Felt it was a missed opportunity not to bring LA knight over to Raw. Feel like he could be in some fresh feuds and storylines over there and obviously with RAW going to Netflix he'd definitely be a guy you'd want on that platform.
I understand they are trying to keep up with the draft season with other professional sports. If they stick with this draft format they need to just worry about NXT folks moving to RAW or SmackDown.

This draft was designed to bring up NXT talent. It needed a big mix up. Barely anyone changed brands.
Champions staying on their brands were ok, but yeah, 90% of the picks were really uspusprising
I feel like the major problem is that they have some storylines already stablished so it would make no sense to move some wrestlers like Sheamus now that he's kinda feuding with Drew, who has a story with Punk, and Damian for his rematch, and Seth is in that mix as well...those 5 are "must stays"...Liv is as well because she has to wait for Rhea to return (which will stay on RAW because of the title), Chad had to stay on RAW because he's still after the intercontinental, and his Academy is supporting him, so they wouldn't break...so yeah, some are a given because of ongoing storylines.
Felt like Bianca staying on SmackDown is ok, now that she seems to be tagging with Jade, that may change things
LA Knight staying as well, I have so high hopes for him to dethrone Paul
Alpha Academy staying on RAW, together, is ok, now that they are heels they have a new dynamic they can explore
I'm happy that Styles is still on SM and Sheamus on Raw but overall I thought it sucked with most of the picks remaining on the same show. I don't like how they've been doing the draft the last past few years. They should either go back to how it was from 07-11 or do what they've been doing but have to when it's SM's night they can only pick people from either Raw or nxt and when it's Raw's night they can pick people from either sm or nxt

If they had just skipped the retaining part of the draft, I think it would’ve gone better. Like, big whoop if someone stays on their current brand. We’re more interested in who is moving.
It would be better to not have a draft at all and get 2 transfer windows (summer and winnter) when GM can 'buy' superstar to there roster or just give them better contract that they have on current brand. With this they can fresh things up little by little every 6 months.
btw not having Corbin and Bron on the same brand is a big L they could easly continue there tag team in the main roster and then split later on
It was kind of lackluster but I do like the shine that Carmelo Hayes was getting, hope RAW is better.
Because the same bigger Superstars or returning superstars,remained on the same shows...These shakes up in WWE nowadays aren't worth it...
(WWE) has to send well established Superstars to NXT & send NXT talent to the Main Roster. Don't be afraid to rotate your staff. It may boost all brand ratings & Wrestlers fame! 🤔💭
It's surreal to see Main Roster Superstars on NXT. Especially if they need a touch up in performance. It's not a knock... who's willing to be humble in the business & help build up the business is what we want! 🤔💭

For the Smackdown draft, I didn't really mind everyone staying.
However, LA Knight DEFINITELY should've moved to Raw.
Also, Cody/Melo was a fun match to see, and I'll have to see how Kiana James does on Raw cuz she seemed really underwhelming to me in NXT... but I'm willing to give her a chance.
I don’t think Orton is gonna turn heel till later in the year because I just have a feeling Orton & Owens (rKO, r(ko)^2, the rKO show) are gonna be the ones to take the tag tittles off of A-Town Down Under. With later on Orton turning heel on Owens (kinda finish the rkbro story but with Owens)
I feel like Kiana James is just going to be enhancement talent, like Cameron grimes.

I just started watching again and it's been kind of underwhelming so far. The new bloodline story has been a yawn so far. Hope it picks up
Bron vs Branson reed would be a good match
I didn’t see any surprises. A lot of stories are locked up with big names (drew, Seth, punk) stayed on raw along with Chad gable and alpha academy staying on raw with the IC title.
Smackdown kept the bloodline, AJ styles, LA Knight and should be fed to Cody 😂. Bianca and jade will be a story and should help elevate the tag titles until one of them turns on the other. Lwo staying put with the feud with santos.
Very simple draft. Hoping they shake things up on night 2.
And I wish they would have a draft on NXT too to keep their momentum going.
Honestly , I hated the draft and I feel I think the draft should only be picks where you can only pick outside the brand and in between rounds you can protect people on the roster, that allows movement and also adds a strategy to it .
Why would Gable go to Smackdown when he's in an IC title feud and just attacked the champion and turned heel.
I hate that the champions were protected/undraftable they didn't do that when there were brand-specific champions (raw and smackdown women's and tag team champions) and they had them just trade titles around (which is cringe-worthy)...at least now they can switch the titles between brands since they are wwe and world championships

Trading a show's champion is foolish. Who the hell drafts their champion? Sometimes fun has to take a backseat for things to be sensible, especially since WWE is trying to look more legit.
Yeah...the draft was kinda silly when the majority of the picks didn't actually change anything
