This is why you’re one of my favorite content creators, you don’t dress things up, you talk about technology, ingredients and features, you highlight the joy the products might give you and why you would need them, but most importantly you have your viewers best interest at heart. I just saw some very popular Korean influencers, just blindly recommending the patches, and I was wondering what about it was different than the sunscreen I’ve been wearing. Thanks for clearing this up. Keep the amazing content coming.
These will be great for gardening! I found no matter how much I wear sunscreen or wear hats doesn't cover my entire face especially the sides. I will try these this summer!
Talk about informative!🤩 Now that you've explained them these patches make a lot of sense and I definitely see the potential value in them, if you actually needed as intended.
Thank you Odile; as always, information at its best in a lovely package. A notification on a new post from you always makes my day better, it is like a little beautiful present.
you are soooo elegant:) I love your insight! I just find it funny to wear it daily lol espcially I work in a preschool, all the kids will be like "why you have a bandaid on your face?"
My face sweats like crazy in summer, I wonder what would happen with my skin underneath those patches.. Pimples? Irritation? I do like to protect my skin from the sun but going as far as sticking stuff on my face, I don't know 😅. Still a good idea for those who have to work out outdoors in the sun. Usually if I work out outside it's either in early morning or after sunset. Thank you for a very informative video once again!♡
These patches caught my attention because I love hiking and now that the temperatures are rising in Korea I wanted to have an extra protection. I find that the patches that are just meant to protect skin are the ones that have the best grip on the skin even when I sweat, the ones with multiple functions are generally not as adhesive. I don't know it's due to the additional ingredients, but for protection I try to stick with the simple ones.
This was helpful. I’ve considered getting them because I enjoy long walks every morning, but I can’t depend on a wide-brimmed hat. These are perfect for me to use during walks.
I'm curious about these because we do long mountain bike rides in the summer, but I'm actually worried about tan lines with these. We take sunscreen with us, of course
I was searching for outdoor sun patch vids. And ur video came first. I’m shocked the way you explained everything in details and how u didn’t say like other influencers that you just buy it. U also gave reasons why we need it vs why we don’t. Literally subscribed just now!! Can’t wait binge watch ur other video and the upcoming vids!!❤️🥰
Yup, another reason why I'm not fond of people recommending them for daily use. I have a feeling some people could rely on these a little too much, when instructions clearly say they should be worn along with highly resistant sunscreens.
How interesting! As a golf player it s true that Sun protection is complicated. What are the larger ones? And easier to use in your opinion ? Thanks a lot.
Some brands make these patches in different sizes so the user can pick the most suitable one depending on their needs (where they usually get hyperpigmentation or what part of their face is more exposed to the sun), but the function is exactly the same. I for one, prefer the under eye patches because it's where I tend to get sun spots more easily 😌
Thank you so much for talking about this new item. I was wondering how feasible was this idea. If one were to use it, it would block the sun on some areas of the face while leaving the rest exposed and the final outcome would be most probably looking at your face divided on two different shades.
As someone with melasma who does spend considerable bits of time outside at times, I’m super interested in this kind of product… one question: Can you reuse them? At least the ones without treatment… It would be nice to know I could buy a pair of these patches and reuse them several times before moving on to the next set (a bit like SPF sleeves/clothing). My melasma gets on my nerves (these last two years of wearing masks have made it so much worse and persistent no laser makes it go down), but I don’t feel right using yet another one-use disposable product… (Loved your view on marketing, and your ethics comes across in every video :))
hi odile, thank you for sharing so much valuable information with us through your channel! i'm curious if you have any thoughts about the current vegan trend in kbeauty. i've been a bit perplexed by so many brands putting out vegan base makeup when most of their existing base products were already vegan. as a vegan, the most troublesome makeup category for me is actually eyeshadow, but thus far dasique has been the only non-vegan brand i've seen put out vegan palettes. i'm also curious about why receiving certification from a european vegan group seems to be a mandatory aspect of vegan kbeauty products. here in the us, there are certainly brands that tout certifications from leaping bunny or peta, but plenty of brands market products as vegan without any certifications whatsoever.
Odile - thank you! Considering these to prevent more spider veins on cheeks when I must be in the sun for long. Do you know of any Korean based products to help diminish existing spider veins?
Good point! I don't sweat a lot so wiping the hydrogel layer with a wet wipe is enough for me, but I suspect if a person has a tendency to sweat a lot, cleaning the patches would be more tricky.
Yes, they can be reused! The hydrogel layer will lose adhesion power over time so they're definitely not permanent products, but for personal experience they can be reused 5-6 times on average. The ones that are simply protective tend to last longer if it helps 😊
My MIL suffers from melasma so she tried a few ones! She seems to like the Etiqa masks the most, in fact I discovered the Coetiqa patches in this video because they're made by the same company 😁

I suffer from melasma and I'm using actives to treat it. UV index reaches 13 in the summer here. I think a physical barrier would help out doors.

As someone with melasma that I struggle to keep under control in the summer months, these are exciting!

Ngl, these mask would look really well in Avant Garde costumes like Björk's Utopia mask 😭😂😂

Thank you! 😊 I find the way some creators are promoting these products really dishonest (and doesn't do the products justice either 🥲).

Might give weird tanlines tho, especially for people who is lazy to reapply sunscreen.

Hello! What is sun patches for ?? Which brand of sun patches are you using ? Thank you so much
Products are listed in the description box 😊
how would you clean the patches though for reuse?

Ma la traduzione in italiano ??😔😔
Perdonami, non so perché non mi aveva preso il file di sottotitoli in italiano 😔 Adesso ci sono
can you even reuse these patches?

So I need to look like a clown 🤡
😂 not gonna lie, I think having to wear face masks in public contributed to sudden popularity of these products
@@OdileMonodTheMonodist It actually makes me wonder... Are there any good face masks with UV protection in Korea?
