thanks man, he was unlike any other, he broke barriers and started out in gospel. So poor he just wanted to get his family out of poverty. He was honestly nervous and thought after doing movies for 9 years people might not like him as a performer. He thought even that some of his fans had moved on. He was a beautiful man who just wanted to bring people together. He was a champion of civil rights and advocated for many black artists. He was a generous humanitarian who gave away gifts to his fans and appreciated his fame. Loved this reaction, Be Blessed
This is one of my favorite live recordings of Elvis (68 Comeback). Elvis was at his best. He was so handsome here & looked so cool in his black leather. This was an intimate setting with the audience members sitting around him. You could see how relaxed & at ease he was. He had a great voice & could sing anything whether it was ballads, gospel or rock.
Great reaction😀Elvis 1st live performance at Ed Salivan Show czcams.com/video/aNYWl13IWhY/video.html, Elvis was just starting making records for RCA and this "live" & his moves was a shock for this era, because most of the singers were standing still while singing. Lot of the media tried to cancel Elvis, people was smashing Elvis records, and at his 2nd live at Ed Salivan show (sheck this too) they film him only from the weist up, but girls keep screaming, haha! At Elvis & the black comiunity documentary part 1 & 2 gives lot of information about this era and the inpact Elvis had to people. Thinks was so different that time, Things were so tense that it was banned in e.g. Boston, the young people who listened to him were called "juvenile delinquents" , he brought such strong emotions to people, that many wanted to fight him because of his popularity. Ed Sullivan had stated that he would never bring him on the show but was forced to change his mind due to the great success of Elvis' appearance on the rival show Milton Berle czcams.com/video/cAEruhuQENM/video.html&embeds_referring_euri=https %3A%2F%2Felculture.gr%2F&source_ve_path=OTY3MTQ&feature=emb_imp_woyt while Frank Sinatra, who was also popular at that time, declared that rock music destroys young people. Later on he was also forced due to Elvis' popularity to invite him to his show when Elvis returned from his service in the army and they even sang together czcams.com/video/BneQYMRhBjQ/video.html. Also check out czcams.com/video/mbXCfpYZwIk/video.html ), Elton John affected by seeing him & Jimmy Hendrix drawing Elvis when he was12-year-old after seeing him in concert eth and so many more artist still get inspiration of him. Because RCA records bought Elvis contract from Sun records (Elvis first record company) the owner Sam Fphilips, was having money to make records for Carl Perkings(blue swed shoes) and Jonny Cash. Elvis movie biography, gives a lot of information about his live at that era but still is amazing the impact Elvis has even today to so many people and how many joy broughjt to this world.
