What happens when you put a magnet under a seed?!

  • I have been looking into electroculture, magetculture, and using electromagnetic fields in growing crops. Here is my first real experiment growing bean seeds with a magnet under them to see whether south side up really helps seeds germinate in the southern hemisphere like they seem to in the northern hemisphere, and if the north up magnet was good, bad or indifferent. Join me in finding out if it makes a difference and if I will be doing it again!

    I showed my collection of Magnets to a youngster the other day, and their mind was captivated for hours. They are both captivating and dangerous, as everything can be affected by them, as everything including us and the universe has a circuit. Every water molecule in our bodies has a north and south.

    I grew some moringa seeds in a tray, only about 40% actually germinated, so I transferred from my tray to pots, some were like runts, or not growing well, so I decided to try some varied Electroculture techniques to see if they would perk up! So far, it seems all the runts are turning a good green colour and at least have not died, so 10 days in and it's difficult to tell with the various tests, except for one plant which as I transferred to pots, all the roots broke off! I thought OK, well I am not going to waste the plant and give it a chance at least! I made a mini pyramid which I placed over it and I have a few copper-coated coins which I added to the pot! The leaves were drooping initially and it was the smallest of the lot! Now it appears as the most vibrant of all and though still the smallest is looking up and appears to be smiling as it puts out new tiny leaves reaching up for it's chance to survive! Now I wonder about the idea of the magnets for the pots, but what strength of magnets??? I heard Yannick once say low-power magnets are best!

    Thank you for showing us your results. I would love to learn more about this. In my personal and very unpopular opinion, the reason your experiment has the same results of those in the northern parts is because Australia is in the outer (southern) ring of our level plane. Just as your compass points to the same north (the center of the plane) as everyone else’s compasses, so does the magnet give the same results as all on the plane.

    Magnetic sheets like fridge magnets have opposing strips of north and south. Like 3d printer mag sheets. They will attract to each other but when you slide them across each other you will feel a ripple effect because of the attract repulse effect of the different poles.
    Not saying they will not work but you will have north and south both facing up at the same time in strips going across the sheet.
    It will be interesting to see results should you try. Best of luck.

    Can the south side of a magnet be detected by the polarity of the magnet. Like, when a magnet attracts to (pulls toward another magnet), verses a magnet when placed near another magnet has an opposing force. One side of the magnet pushes and the other side of the magnet has a pulling force. Which is which?
    If the magnet has a pulling force toward another magnet... is that the south side of the magnet?
    If the magnet has a pushing force when placed near another magnet... is that the south or north side of the magnet?

    • @FantailValleyHomestead
      @FantailValleyHomestead  Před rokem +1

      the polarity of the magnet will repel the same polarity of another, so if you put two south sides together they will repel, and if you put two north sides together they will also repel each other. I hope that helps?

    Sometimes due to the strong magnets disrupting the weak compass magnets it reverses.

    This needs several hundreds more trails to be certain that it works just cause no seed heath is the same.. im no scientist, but magnet pulls anything magnetic to it so all those micro-metals/minerals are slowly be drawn to where you place that magnet and whatever seeds that is near it are getting more micro nutrients at lest thats how I see it. Yes you soak them in water and water contain minerals.. I would be more interested to see a soil sample comparison with a control test..put magnet in a soil filled cup next cup no magnet than wait a week now check to see if the one with the magnet has a higher concentration of minerals close to the magnet compared to the one without it.

Just the opposit that was observed in the trial here.. BUT they treated their seeds BEFORE planting/sprouting. From a vew minutes up to 280 hours, all the seeds exposed to north magnetic field were significantly more productive.
