My favourite opening segment to a kill count is I'll Always Remember What You Did Last Summer. Nothing can top it, it's actually fucking amazing.

What's really unique with this movie in terms of the kills is that they are ironic deaths for the characters. J.J. is a headbanger and dies with her guitar banged against her head, Tamera does cocaine and is stabbed shards of glass, Wayne is a filmmaker and dies while being filmed, Julius is a boxer and gets his head punched off, Uncle Charles was a toxic uncle and is shoved in a barrel of toxic sludge.
The writers even said that Jason can teleport in this movie. So eat your heart out MatPat! TEAM DEAD MEAT!

One thing I always liked doing is finding out much later that now-famous or popular actors/actresses played small or otherwise unremarkable parts in movies or films that most people would prefer to forget about. I was too young to watch this in theaters at the time of its release, and I had no idea that Kelly Hu was in this film. I became familiar with her only after watching X-Men 2 and Afro Samurai, and when I saw her name in the credits here, I was just a bit shocked.

In the Japanese dub of *"FRIDAY THE 13TH Part 8: Jason Takes Manhattan",* Rika Fukami (the voice of Minako Aino/Sailor Venus from the original *"Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon"* anime series and the first three films) dubbed for Jensen Daggett as Renee Wickham.

Mans can teleport.I can understand the point in Pt6,The time he threw miles off the vast is teleportation because Jman was watching miles climb the vast and then a few seconds later was suddenly ahead and there to throw him off,james debunked the disco scene,jason had nowhere near enough time to get a few meters away from that crystal lake research facility after throwing Sgt.marcus through the door,and lastly,Charles scene is debunked by the fact that as established by the Ava scene,Jason toys with his victims in this movie,so it makes sense he would look like hes power walking after him then teleport up to the second floor

This was one of my favorite's of the series
Honestly if they’d marketed this movie as Jason on a boat I think it would’ve done allot better, the concept works pretty well, only issue is everyone was waiting for New York, if they put the boat in the marketing instead the New York sequence would’ve been considered a standout sequence from the franchise, as it is it’s disappointing at best or just straight bad at worst

I recommend the Thankskilling Kill Count pretty strongly then. It’s one of my favorites.

I love the tone of voice James uses to express his annoyance with how bad the kills are.
"these kills suck" had me burst out in laughter.

Somehow I understand that this movie is objectively terrible but still love it. It's the only friday film where i couldn't stop laughing the whole way through, and after binging through the series it was a nice change of tone.
I just love how fucking cool jason looks in NY all around. People take it too seriously

As someone who lives relatively close to Vancouver, it both warms my heart and fills me with great misery knowing that a slasher was filmed her, and knowing that the slasher filmed there was _Jason Takes Manhattan._

There are a lot of shots in supernatural that are filmed in Vancouver, and as a Vancouverite myself it was really funny to see locations I’ve been to and recognize.

What I really love about the jason and julius scene is that jason doesn't straight up kill him
He actually gives julius a chance to see what he can do
And this is one of the only times where someone has fought jason in a fist fight
And Jason then falcon punches his head off
The skit before the numbers had more production quality than the movie lmao
