Blazing Saddles is a classic!!! Gotta watch it. It's a perfect example of how humor can be used to show how utterly ridiculous racism is. Mel Brooks was genius!
Shows like All in the Family and The Jefferson's too.
They shouldn''t put a racial slur in that movie!!!
@@colesanders5251 Those racial slurs were written by Richard Pryor.
Richard Pryor wrote the dialog of the sheriff and other characters.
It's twue! It's twue!
Unforgettable movie. Illustrates absurdity by being absurd. Best ever!
The clip cut off before the punch line when Bart says: "Oh, baby, you're so talented... and they are SO dumb."
Excuse me while I whip this out...always loved that part..
Its twue
Mel Brooks actually didn’t want to use the hard-R word, but Richard Pryor insisted on it because it would let the audience sympathize with Bart.
“Excuse me while I whip this out” was referring to his Schwartz
"A Laurel and Hearty" handshake. Laurel and Hardy . . . silly joke, but it makes me smile.
Now you're gonna have to explain who that is to the younger group lol.
All these years and I never caught that. Thanks.
Mel Brooks was never afraid to throw in this kind of humour which with the exception of a few snowflakes.. was widely accepted and laughed about for years. A true genius of comedy.
And he always made jokes about all races, including his own. That's why it still works, because you can see the ignorance, laugh at it, because you know that it's wrong to discriminate and how stupid people who think that way are.
This gets even funnier after this bit with Gene Wilder playing chess. One of the funniest movies ever made. 🤣
"Let's play chess!"
@@dr.burtgummerfan439 hahaha Mel Brooks was a comedy genius that could make _anyone_ laugh.
It’s a classic. Epic movie. The way they handle racism in it is fantastic. They show the absurdity of it
Humor, like music, is medicine; a wonder of the world.
Happy thankgiving to you and yours!
You're gonna love this! Sheriff is the coolest dude! The song sung by the Saloon gal - "I'm tired"
🤣🤣🤣 Great spoof by the master - Mel Brooks.
Definitely react to Blazing Saddles, but one word of advice - don’t edit out the racist, homophobic, and anti-Semitic slurs like some reactors. The film shows the absurdity and stupidity of racism by ridiculing the racists. Trying to sanitize the movie for a reaction audience in 2021 undermines what Mel Brooks was trying to do with this film and what makes it such a classic.
Everything made by Mel Brooks is Hella funny. Also try Space Balls and Robin Hood Men in Tights.
"The Producers" as well. I remember my dad literally in tears watching the ending to that way back.
Young Frankenstein too.
'To Be Or Not To Be' is my favorite Mel Brooks film.
You won't regret watching the movie. The chemistry between Cleavon Little and Gene Wilder is so fun to watch
It turns out well in the end. Completely not PC. It was not PC even when there was no PC. Equal opportunity offender.
Mel Brooks “History of the World, Part 1”.
One of the greatest comedies of all time !
It's an amazing film. My favourite line is "where the white woman at?" It will make sense once you see it. Brilliant movie.
One of Mel Brooks best movies. You need to watch the whole movie. Young Frankenstein is another great one
Love it, such a funny movie, "The sheriff is a ni....." LOL the townspeople love him in the end - Mel Brooks at his best. They don't make movies like this anymore unfortunately.
This was my Dad’s favorite movie. We all laughed our asses off watching it and watching him laugh. Brings back great memories.
Gotta watch the part when the two black workers fall in the quicksand white building the railroad and hear what Slim Pickens says. Or, how about the toll booth in the desert?
That's one of the funniest movies ever.
And told to sing a spiritual(AKA plantation) song and they sing I get a kick out of you😅😅
I love the wide wide world of sports line... Gotta be my favorite line in the whole movie
Classic comedy, one of the best. Check out Young Frankenstein too. Mel Brooks is a comedic genius.
And Gene Wilder is over the top funny in both films. Harvey Korman from the Carol Burnett show is in Blazing Saddles and is hysterical.
Don't forget Richard Pryor co-wrote
The greatest anti-racism movie, making its points from absurdity. A classic comedy that could never be made today.
Most anti racist film ever made. By making a satire of the bigotry that was endemic then
Then? Look around you.

I was making a specific comment of the time the film was set in. Not some general all history comment. Don’t take it out of context, however true what you say is
When Mongo punches and knocks out the horse lol
So pleased you could see the funny side to this film and laugh along with it
Blazing saddles is a broad but also smart comedy. Full of quotable lines and visual humour. My favourite is The Waco kids shooting hand.
I've seen this movie many many times, but I'm not sure I ever noticed the "Laurel, and Hardy handshake" before... or I just forgot it!
It's a very funny film, also you seem like a good hearted person, especially to be able to see the humour with things like this
You have to watch it...an absolute classic...so funny. I'm glad you take it in the spirt it is meant...The Late Great Richard Pryor wrote it along with Mel Brooks...both of them comedy geniuses...It portrays the stupidity of racism...
My all time favourite film. Watch it all - it makes a mockery of everyone and everything. Good cast, most of them gone now, sadly.
The guy that actually said the N word played Higgins in the original Magnum PI series with Tom Selleck
It cut off too soon. He ends the scene saying to himself, "Oh, baby - you're So talented. And they're So dumb."
You have to watch the whole film 🤣 it’s a classic 👍🏼
What what they thought he was going to whip out his pee pee.. but instead he pulls out the governors Letter...
You will love the film.
OH, yes!! It is definitely worth watching.
Don't know if its been said, but that part was written of sheriff was written for Richard Pryor, but he had become controversial at the time because of language 🙄 so the studio was scared it would hurt the film.
You....will LOVE this shit like Sunday bacon!
This movie is such a classic, very funny!
Have you seen Three Amigos 1986 , Comedy/Western with the cast of Steve Martin, Chevy Chase, and Martin Short?
It's hilarious, check it out whenever you get the chance. I think you will enjoy it!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving to you and your family!🙂
Blazing Saddles could NEVER get made today but is probably the best take on racism I have ever seen. The Black folk are in on the joke in this one. You'll laugh your ass off. It's genius.
It's arguably one of the greatest and most important comedies ever made.
Lucky for you, that's from early in the movie. It's barely even getting started. :)
Tooo funny every time. Ricjard Pryor helped write the script. He was supposed to play the sheriff, but he was too messed up on drugs. Rip Pryor.
a comedy film that reactors should discover is "The Party" 1968 - Blake Edwards/Peter Sellers
You’re in for a treat!
After BS you need to do a Mel Brooks marathon, Young Frankenstein & The Producers will get you started. Classic movies that have aged well as Brooks knows how to deliver a good gag especially at the expense of bigotry.
Classic film. Must watch.
You've never seen _Blazing Saddles???_ One of the top ten comedies ever! Totally un-woke but totally well-intentioned MUST SEE!!!
It's here on yt, also Prime, plus loadsa free versions if you search the net
This is a movie that could never be remade in today's time. Mel Brooks was/is a genius. You gotta watch the whole movie. You'll be laughing all the way.
"You are SO talented! And they are SO dumb!"
Blazing Saddles & Airplane. Best movies from that era. So wrong, but so right.
I shouldn't laugh but funny😂Dam. You took that well 🖐️
A " Laurel and Hardy " Hand shake , lmao
If you can laugh through that scene, then yes Blazing Saddles is for you!
Greatest example of the utter ignorance of racism!!!!!😁
This is a brilliant movie. You have to react to the whole thing.
Yes this is a very funny movie! And no one is spared! Check out Young Frankenstein!
The best movie ever...
When they were making the movie, the white actors were very reluctant to say the n-word. Burton Gilliam (Lyle) had such a hard time with it that Cleavon Little took him aside and told him it was okay to say it since it wasn’t his words.
Brilliant 👍👊🇬🇧🇺🇸
This is too funny 🤣
You should watch the blues brothers movie
I would have given anything for Obama to have said, "Excuse me while I whip this out," during a speech.
Classic lol wouldn't be made now
This part of the movie was written by Richard Pryor
Along with Mel Brooks & Gene Wilder
This movie was greatly written
To many ppl today wouldn't it bc it would to offensive
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
the whole movie is incredible. Its really an anti hate movie mocking racism.
Brilliant film you can't get offended cause it was of its time not how it is now which is great.you missed the punchline of the end.i think it goes like this? You are so good and they are so dumb!
LOL
This is the BEST movie to show how stupid racism is, and it does it in the funniest way possible! It shows how the anti-humor squad nowadays have it completely wrong, edgy humor is sometimes the only way to hold a mirror up to some people and their dumb behaviors.
This movie IS funny😅😂😂
This was written by Richard Pryor.
😂😂
They cut off a good line at the end there. He says something like I am so good and they are so dumb
Love the nod to Laurel & Hardy but judging by your Airplane! reaction a lot of these jokes will go over your head
Maybe not as bad here... Airplane! was loaded with pop culture references but a lot of this movie is sadly still relevant.
First!!
They all look so stupid because racism is stupid. All the racists in this movie end up looking completely stupid.
Before ‘woke times’ racism was mocked. None of us who laughed at this (or any Gene Wilder film) did so because we were racist, antisemitic or homophobic....
I’m tired. So tired.
I'm not a wabbit!
Please react to this movie. Lol 😆
Classic movie!! The only people who shouldn't watch this movie, are thin skinned people. Because of the PC police, movies like this could never be made today. I can't wait for the full length movie reaction!!
You better have watched the movie by now.
You should put your guard up a bit more often, u seem to be caught off guard a lot 😂
Your face when the scene goes to complete nonsense 😆. Yeah it's that kind of movie.
It’s funny because it’s not so called PC, it laughs at racism etc, pity someone isn’t brave enough to do a film about woke.
STOP WHATEVER the hell you are doing and watch the WHOLE MOVIE!!!
Kyle Rittenhouse. Justice was served. Keep protecting the businesses of the innocent from those animals Kyle.
Why you always lying you watched this before
Praise the Lord there are REAL black men (like this gentleman) and women who understand
There was a time "offensive" humor was used to show the absurdity of our past and that we as a nation have come a long way.
Bless you, Sir. Bless you.
One of the top comedies of ALL time!
