- Well seven or eight turned up. Geoff and John were delayed so we waited for them - John rode the adapted C90 (now manual) and Geoff rode his Honda postie! Steve and Chris - rule breakers - were showing off their brand new Triumph 400 Speeds and Paul (another rule breaker) was on his Honda 500 (I think). The other Chris was on his AJS 125, Roger was on his "Special", Steve Natt was on his Puch and Colin was on his Piaggio Medley 125 - GOOD LUCK FOR YOUR TEST ON FRIDAY MATE!. I was on my XSR125. Old Dave, was at entirely the wrong venue, wondering where everyone was but drove over to say hello at the end!!
This was a new route from the venue and starting late, we soon hit a problem as we approached Purton - Steve Natt's Puch....which seems to be cursed....had no spark at the plug. The rest of the route was very nice....I managed to get some wet mud on those Triumphs 😂. We stopped for coffee in the Dragonfly Cafe in the Cotswold Water Park.
Several people said "where are we"? Well there is a map of sorts below.

The best laid plans, etc... Never mind, Rob; these things happen.Interesting to see that two of your group have bought the Triumph 400 Speed. I think that Triumph will probably sell a lot of them.
They only brought them to show them off and get some running in miles on the clock.
Shame about the chap with the breakdown, it can disrupt the group ride somewhat. With this glorious weather I have been out on several days this week on the Honda 500x with the wife, Solo on the Honda cb250rs and an evening group. I'll be solo on the BMW G310r tomorrow Sunday on the club run. I do like the look of the AJS 125cc with a Yamaha engine I believe. Or, it might be a Chinese copy. Enjoy the weather the weather Rob. 😊👍🏍NJ
Breakdowns can indeed be a bit of a drama. And yes - what wonderful weather. Glad you are doing some riding - so have I !
My great grandfather was a French polisher at the railway in Swindon and family lore tells of my father riding his Triumph speed twin over the cotswolds with his father on the back, one hand holding a jar of pickled onions and the other holding his flat cap on 😂
Sounds extremely dangerous especially if he was French polishing at the same time? But what excitement.....what skill!!
@@RobLittleuk improved the taste of the pickles too l expect!

Good video. Breakdown’s and lateness all ways happen, but it’s all ways good to meet up with friends.
You are right there Frank !
When you are over a certain age it is your right to be late, and also to be late for your own funeral as well, nice wee selection of bikes etc, pity about the breakdown but its all to be expected on rideout.
Hope you all enjoyed the run, All the Best.
Thanks John !
