- Fat Man Tiny Bike scoots off to Normandy !
Ok so its not as demanding as circumnavigating Ireland or the NC500 in Scotland, and I'm not on the YB100 but I'm on the XSR125, off with 5 mates to Normandy to see the various historical sites there. As well as me there will be:
Steve Hoffmann on his Triumph 400 Speed
Rob Evans on his Royal Enfield Bullet 500 Pegasus
Alan Burton on his BMW G310
Kevin Phillips on his Honda Monkey 125
Mike Burgess on his Royal Enfield Meteor 350
We arrive in Cherbourg early Sunday afternoon so the first thing we will do is visit Utah Beach and then Carentan where they were short on UK flags for their D-Day bunting so I brought 20 Union Jacks to plant in the Hotel de Ville gardens !! Then on to Bayeux to book into our hotel for the week - Bayeux is just 5 miles south of the Normandy coast. We will be doing day trips from there before we return home on Friday evening.
I hope to post video of the trip once I have had time to edit it - so in a month or so.

This is one to really look forward to Rob and the gang, thanks to Mrs L for making sure you have clean undies and socks, ride safe and have a great if poignant time.
Ha ha - I am hoping to get some decent footage but I am leading the group so not so interesting in places. We shall see!
'Allo 'allo... Bonjour Robert! Listen, I shall say this only once; enjoy yourselves. It's great that you're going and intending to take in the (far too many) battle sites. Have a great trip, stay safe and keep the rubber side down. 👍
Thanks for that Chris!
Sounds like an amazing trip. Looking forward to seeing the video when you get back.
Be patient !!
Looking forward to the videos Rob of the trip with the young boys! Enjoy yourselves and watch out for those French girlies.😊👍🏍NJ
The latter are all around us like a rash!! Just got to be careful not to catch one 😂
@@RobLittleuk 😂😂😂😂
Rob just come across your latest and I’m excited for you. Good luck. Safe journey. I am quite envious. 👍 Dave K 🏍️🇩🇪
Welcome to my channel and make sure you subscribe!! Having a great time so far.
These modern 125S are fantastic machines, i rather fancy one to cut around on
😊
Look forward to the video rob safe journey enjoy
Thanks - which side do they drive on?
Finishing packing my bags, that's a laugh, looks like Mrs L was doing that for you !! At least you won't see anywhere near as many potholes "en France". Really wich I could have been with you all, been there twice whilst holidaying, but "She Who Must Be Obeyed" doesn't have the same level of interest as me. Have a great time and wishing you all a safe journey.
Thanks Graeme and hope we can get together for real when I get back
Really looking forward to that Rob. Have a safe trip and hope the weather improves. Its the same here up in the Highlands.

The roads here are unbelievable hardly any traffic
Scotlandshire is it's usual raining and cold, hope you all have a safe and enjoyable trip, enjoy the journey, All the Best to each of you.
Rain promised but not delivered but today should be wet! Thanks John.
Very envious. Love the small bike camaraderie. Did this 25 yrs ago so looking forward to seeing through your camera. I am glad everyone is moaning about the weather I thought Iwas just neche. Even had central heating on for odd hour. 2 wheel types are going to get hurt soon on a regular basis with these chasms
Well it’s been raining all
Morning some went to see the tapestry others a walk around. Eased off now so may head for arromanches
Good luck guys and am looking forwards to watching the final cut. love from Ireland . 👍👍👍👍👍

What a lovely idea for a trip! Have a wonderful time 😊
Having a great time seen a lot already!
Have a good trip. The Yammie looks a capable tourer there with those soft panniers 👍 Brilliant. Hope it's warmer over there for you
XSR doing really well - nice to leave the panniers in the hotel though
Hi rob is that your overcoat fastened to the forks? Just be careful you are not interfering with the cooling air doing it’s job to keep the engine at the right temp, after all it’s not for me to say but it’s going to be shall we say laboured with the payload and what with the speed you guys go at it may start protesting. Anyway hope you have a great trip. Thks
Thanks for the advice - I took it off before I left! And yes, the bike goes well “three up”!!
Can't find your Facebook page could you confirm the full name your video just says whizzers? Good luck
Hi Peter - it’s the Wiltshire Whizzers but you should be a motorcyclist to join - you’d be welcome!
Have you eve4 visited Overloon museum in Holland? It needs at least a day to two days to see everything
No sadly not
@@RobLittleuk it is well worth the trip, I pinged your Facebook page, I can send you some info, it really is amazing, plus lots of other history there, plus we know a great bed and breakfast
😆
I am very surprised that you have not put on front fender extender. Mrs. Little is very helpful lady. Good luck and the videos when you can, don't worry about it.
