- I Have tried most of the big Fish and Chip Shops in Whitby but had to try one that I have missed and its been in business since 1937 that's 87 years trading but hardly gets a mention , is it as good as the others ?
Amazing value for a sit down meal with bread and butter with a brew 👍
Those saying it's too expensive for a family need to learn from their elders.
We as a family of 5 always had plastic forks and paper plates in the boot , 3 fish , two bags of chips and a couple of carton of peas and we were good to go at a fraction of the price.....the children happily ate them in the open air making as much noise as they wanted without upsetting a café or restaurant.

it looked delicious, but all these touristy towns are so expensive, imagine a family of 4 going out for fish and chips at the seaside dear me that would make your eyes water.
Hi Lee your absolutely right , we had a conversation about that and even for a couple once you add in drinks your looking at close to £50 a time .

Definitely the best I used to go in there in late 70’s Same family run We knew grandad ( a bit older than us ) He was a mate of the skipper who took us out fishing regularly Any excess fish we had we always took it to him Happy Days

Fish'n'chips & mushy peas. Nuff said. Well apart from wish I was there ❤could have wanted another pat of butter(I always just hold the butter in my hand for a few seconds, easer to spread) But a nice all round portion. Enough chips, fairly decent bit of fish (why the parsley?? 🤔) And a pot of tea. Brilliant. Fabulous fist food at the end, proper fingerlickin👍🫵👍. Less than £20 bargain See ya in the next video Allan&Family

I love trenchers but getting a bit expensive now will try this one when back in whitby
Yeah Trenchers is nice we've been there a few times and never had any complaints
