After driving SUVs since 2004, I bought a compact car - the 2021 Nissan Sentra SR Premium Package in Super Black. It’s a nice-looking, fuel-efficient car! Love the Premium Package’s sporty extras - moonroof, Bose sound system, LED headlights, 18” aluminium alloy wheels, etc. No qualms about the CVT (now, third generation), and I never considered the Corolla. I don’t like the look of the Toyotas, but love my new Nissan Sentra.

The difference is after 100,000 miles, the Corolla will still be running without any problems, as for the Nissan will have a blown head gasket and clunky transmission.

I have owned 6 Nissans and have zero problems with the nissans. Can not say the same for the toyota’s I have owned. I had AC problems with two toyotas. Normally things that come standard in Nissans are extra cost options in Toyota. I have to wonder if the negative comments on Nissan are made by people who actually owned a Nissan.

The Nissan engine has more durability than the Toyota engine, since the Nissan engine is manufactured directly in the Yokohama plant, the Corolla engine is manufactured outside of Japan.
