For the price they’re very well equipped! 8.0 seconds flat for this segment is pretty great as well!

Nissan, Toyota, Ford and Hyundai on my list. Choosing Nissan the Sentra is well equipped, looks more sleek and think Nissan is coming back with better lineup of new vehicles. I can't wait for you do a review of the new Pathfinder.

As attractive as this Nissan Sentra looks, I simply can't trust their JATCO CVT.

Exactly. This car looks good but I don't trust Nissan's build quality nor that JATCO CVT.

Never heard that before better run to Toyota for a Corolla with its yucky CVT

Good review, as always. Love your stuff. Wanted a new Honda Civic since my 2008 was starting to crap out but none of the dealerships near me had any good deals so I went with one of these instead because Nissan was offering huge discounts/deals. I’d heard all the complaints regarding the older Nissan CVTs so I was extremely skeptical but after some time test driving I was super impressed with this vehicle. Been driving it for a few months now and I love it. The CVT isn’t the best in the segment but it’s quiet, efficient, and quick to give you power when needed. Car ride/handling is smooth, pleasant, and surprisingly engaging because of what they did with the steering. The seats are the ridiculously comfortable probably the best is the segment. Wish it had more horsepower but it uses what it has very well. Seems to be an unpopular opinion but this is a great car for the value. Might not beat out the Civic but I think it definitely beats out the Corolla. Nissan did well with this one.

Beats out the Corolla? No way! Corolla has the best CVT in the business because it has a physical first gear. Corolla sport trims also have 20 more horsepower than the Sentra.

This is one handsome car especially in SR trim. Love the orange and black but the reason i got the 3 turbo instead? Speed.

JATCO cvt’s are considered the worst by many. Nissan should sell the car with a free back up cvt certificate up to 75,000 miles.

I like the Sentra, but only in the SR trim (with the 18-inch wheels, and the slim LED headlights). For whatever reason, I just think it looks kinda cheap in the SV trim (particularly with those 16-inch wheels). SR with the Premium package for me on this one, or nothing at all!

That's the cool part about the Corolla/Lexus UX 200 CVT with the physical first gear. The first gear captures a lot of low end torque, giving you that off the line boost. The regular CVTs like this Nissan CVT doesn't do that.
