Hi friends, Steve here again with another video in Kdenlive. Kdenlive Video Editor is a free and open-source video editor for Windows, and now macOS (Daily Build), Linux. Strangely when I apply the tracker on the rectangle or shape neither the center for positioning nor the handles for resizing appear. I looked at all the settings but I can't get them to appear on the monitor, while the numeric commands work. What could it depend on? Thank you (SO Windows 10) Kdenlive version 11.04.3
Sorry to hear that, usually it works fine. Did you try changing the Shape width thickness down to 1? And in the frame shape just change to arrow to check. And did you mean to say version 22.04.03?
@@EsesinforLearning Yes, nothing changes if I change shape, I don't have the video references. I can only move from the effect panel. Yes I beat 11 instead of 22 ...
How can I use my own texture over the tracked object? For example, I need to put my logo over some moving object. Thanks

Is it possible to use a similar effect to motion tracking that *instead of blurring can use a picture* to follow and hide a selected part of the video?
use motion tracking then copy all the keyframes (button under the keyframe bar) and paste them into an effect that has keyframe support (button under the keyframe bar)
in your specific situation you would motion capture a part of the video then copy the key frames and go to the picture and use "transform" effect then paste the key frames
This does not work for me. After clicking "Analyze" and waiting for it to process, the ellipse becomes much smaller and jumps to the top of the video, near the left side, and stays there for the entire clip. Sometimes shakes a bit while playing. It does not matter which object i try to select. What am i doing wrong?
Sorry to hear that. Did you use the transform effect to set the location of the ellipse?
@@EsesinforLearning Thank you for your reply. I've already solved the issue. Turns out that motion tracking will not work for a video that was earlier processed by "Stabilize" command. Worked around the issue by rendering the stabilized video and importing it into a new project.

I've just installed Kdenlive version 22.08.1, and when I drag the motion tracker effecr on to my clip, a very small box appears in the top left of the clip. Dragging the small box doesn't do anything, so I have to use the coordinates of the box to center it around my object. Also I can't change the size of the box by just dragging it. There are no small squares that help me adjust it, and there is no small circle in the middle to move the box, and when I hit analyze, nothing happens. I'm running windows 11, so is that an issue? sorry for the long question by the way.
Windows 11 works well on it. Maybe check the tracker algorithm and shape width if it is zero. And use transform effects to control it. Thanks
How come you didn't have use the "Analayze" button?

How to remove the red border?
Simple change the frame width to 0
When I drag motion tracker to my video the tracker doesn't appear. What I get is a red renctangle and I can't do enything with it. I can't find motion tracking control either. Where are they?
Sorry to hear that. Did you try apply Analysed to create keyframes ?
@@EsesinforLearning My bad. The video clip wasn't selected 😂. When I selected it the tracker and motion tracker settings showed up.
