Hi friends, Steve here again with another video in Kdenlive. Kdenlive Video Editor is a free and open-source video editor for Windows, and now macOS (Daily Build), Linux. In this video we take a look at how to placed Text Behind a moving Object using the Rotoscoping Mask Effects that is already available in Kdenlive. This is the advance method and takes time and patient. So we just show basic idea of doing it.

For people new to this - The cursor is so small and fast moving it make it disappear and cant be followed. Make the cursor a bright colour like red and move a bit slower on screen. Hope this help you. With Ubuntu you can make the icon bigger and a nice red. For Windows use Google there is a nice pointer solution.

Hi and thank you for your valuable work.
You actually don't have to use the transform effect in order to place correctly your text above the video (or image). You can simply click on the "show background" button in the text editor, once your text is on the right track of the timeline, that is to say above the chosen background track...
