Even though career videos don't perform well, I appreciate 'em!
I love the career videos, and I hope they keep on coming. I think they fill a special role on CZcams, which is basically providing a concise summation of old favourite players, the ones that you think of randomly and go "I wonder whatever happened to them?". I found this channel only last year, because of the Felix Potvin video

Even though career videos are not as popular, they are still important. It is documentation of someone's life as a hockey player. Besides who wants to be forgotten?
Best defensemen in Coyotes/jets franchise history.
Those early 90s Jets teams with Numminen, Selanne, Zhamnov, Housley, Barnes, (Thomas) Steen, (Keith) Tkachuk, Ulanov and Tabaracci scared me as a kid, especially in the playoffs. They had a lot of good pieces, but like the Canucks, they just couldn't bring it all together, and then they were gone. They finally got some elite goaltending from Khabibulin, but by that time, much of the core of that team was either already gone or on the way out. They might have been able to get back to that had they stayed in Winnipeg, but who knows?
Teppo Winnipeg. Underrated player.
Teppo Numminen was one of the Sabres Defense (along with Dmitri Kalinin, Henrik Tallinder & Jay McKee!) who were injured in the 05-06 playoffs. That's when Teppo should've had his cup.
Loved Teppo's game when he was with Buffalo at the end of his career.
Had old man strength when shooting from the point. 😂
Ah, love to see a video on a lesser known legend like him. Fun factoid, he came to be known as "Teppo Winnipeg" in Finland, due to a Finnish journalist accidentally calling him that, and it is still what he's known as in Finland specifically.
It was great to see Teppo and Teemu last night. A nice victory to go along with it. Ducks played pretty good though. Go Jets Go! ✈️

Should do more career vids. So many cool 80s players I grew up watching. Lysiak, mckegney, Secord, Millen, Dineen.
You always talk about the career videos not doing well. I weatch them as soon as I see them. One like this is a way of filling in a gap I have. I was a Hartford Whalers fan from the teams inception to thr time they were taken from us. I swore then, that I would not watch another NHL game until the NHL returned to Hartford. In 2015, my daughter moved to Las Vegas, so when the Golden Knights came about, I figured "close enough". It's nice to get some perspective on these players whom I never saw, or whom I saw only at the very beginning of their careers. Please keep doing these videos.

I believe Teemu and Teppo are the first 2 Finns to get their numbers on the rafters in 2 arenas. Ok, Teemu's 8 is officially retired by the Ducks and Teppo's 27 isn't retired, but still I consider that a huge sign of respect.

Also I think those 1372 games Numminen played was 'a record of games played by european born player' for a good while. I think Jagr then broke the record but it was still a record for Numminen when he achieved it.
I have had the honor to have a conversation with Teppo Numminen when he wanted to have his car taken care of back in the day. Such a polite gentleman even though he clearly noticed that I knew he was a big NHL star.
The career vids are my favorite . Especially the more obscure players (even though Teppo to me, isn't an obscure player) These are the videos for the real hockey fans.
My worst memory of Numminen is his interview after the 06 olympics final when he's failing to hold back his tears. I'll never forgive Lidström for that.

I may not catch them all, especially when work gets busy, but I for one do enjoy these videos. Gain an extra appreciation for players who, I may recogbize the name, but didn't follow to closely when they played.
Yep, Teppo was a hell of a player, I myself overlooked some of these totals ,I remember him being very reliable defensively though..

Ugh I feel even worse that the Sabres weren't able to win the cup in those two years they were deep in the playoffs with Teppo. That would have been nice to see.

For a d-man to average almost a half point per game in his career is very respectable. There are forwards who have had long careers that didn't even hit that high percentage wise, of course they were usually 3rd or 4th liners but still.

The career videos and the history videos are some of my favorites on this channel. Because no one else does them. I learn a lot from past years because of it.
"Don't perform too well" - when you post these vids, the true hockey fans tune in. No one else is giving key yet numerically unremarkable players the platform they probably deserve. I watch every one of these vids. Do Simon Gagne please. 🙂

The career videos are easily my favourite! I'm a long time viewer and the offseason has always been my favourite time of year to watch your channel, I completely understand the career videos taking a back seat during the season due to the focus going towards the games at hand, but I hope the lower view count doesn't discourage you or make you think these videos are "less important", you are wonderful for sharing the much needed history of players that time seems to forget. If you ever get the chance I'd really love a video on any of these players as well; Gordie Howe (I checked the channel, I don't think you've done him yet), Dan Boyle & Pavel Kubina.

Thanks for the video about Teppo Numminen's career. I thought it was very informative and honestly I would like to see more videos like that. But it's a pity that these videos are not so well received, because the idea of doing something like this is good. But maybe it would help to spice up those videos with some pictures or footage of the player.

I don't often feel sorry for NHL players but I did feel sorry for Numminen after the 2006 Olympic final. He was very emotional in an interview.
And the same year the Sabres eliminated in Carolina when they should've won the cup.
