@@MysteryGarage no problem bro.. there are some good builds here in sa, one day ill show you pics of my car thats sitting now and how it used to be" it was full custom with one of the first in the country at that time to have a polo Millenium dash that fitted perfect and everything working" with a 2L 16V abf turbo, it had a custom sound boot setup" recaro seats and custom back seats and electronic windows all round" and lots more" I won a few shows with it and it was one of the best in the country, but I was silly I had extra money before I got married and I had another car so I decided to strip a good car down to redo it and make it better but couldn't find a proper spray shop the good shops where being ridiculous with there prices so I waited to and then life happened and the car just sat stripped till now💔 but now covid is here and work is quiet" so waiting on some money of mine to come threw and im gonna get it sorted ill never part with it🙈

This past fall I pulled my 86 scirocco in the garage to start the rebuild of car. I pulled engine to do a abf clone and ITB’s and clean engine bay up, put CZcams on in garage looking for MK1 stuff to watch while I work and came across Mystery Garage. This has been my inspiration to keep poking away in the garage and see this car through. Thank you for the Motivation each week!

Sunday episode idea. Build that garage you bought. And more info on ce2 wiring harness swap like where to source and tips/tricks involved. You mentioned it on the blue rabbit that’s when I first started researching that as a possible upgrade for my own build.

I really like what you said about keeping realistic expectations about ones own abilities. As an ex auto technician myself, I managed to complete the swap and rebuild of a Mk2 Gti within the span of a year. Considering some people take 5 years to get even close to rebuilding a car I felt extremely accomplished. At the 90% completion point I hit a snag with a cooling system electrical gremlin and had to get a second set of eyes (and maybe a bigger brain lol) to help sort it out. A humbling experience to say the least but... Seeing it through to completion is KEY! Even if it means humbling up and letting someone else step in to get you over a wall. It's still an ever evolving project as I change little things here and there or redo thing I'm not happy with but...watching you go through all the same (and sometimes more in depth) tasks of resurrecting/improving/personalizing one these earlier water cooled dubs has been awesome. Keep up the great work R-dog. As far as more episodes go...if your work/family life allow for the extra time then I think everyone that subscribes would be stoked to see some more content. Maybe some different content like other peoples builds, the father son project ect. Either way I always look forward to Wednesdays to see the progress. Keep up the great work!

I think two episodes a week is great. I also think it will work since the one episode will be more lighthearted, to keep from getting into a rut which could discourage you in getting the main project done.

Awesome work man keep it up I've really enjoyed all your episodes I'm currently working on my 79 rabbit project. I've run into some bad rust on the inner fender and a-pillar that got me down but everytime I watch the new episodes it inspires me to keep going. Thanks for the inspiration
