Uvalde sheriff had vital information shooter that was not shared

  • Uvalde County Sheriff Ruben Nolasco rushed toward Robb Elementary School when calls came in that a man was firing his gun after crashing his pickup truck on May 24.
He was one of the 376 officers who went to help children and teachers. But, unlike the vast majority, he had the rank to easily take charge, he had vital information about the shooter and a call about victims in a classroom, and others looked to him as a commander on the scene with up-to-date information. CNN's Shimon Prokupecz reports.

The officer standing immediately to Nolasco's left repeats the radio message to Nolasco. Even the cops inside the hallway, where radios didn't work, knew. One of the first officers to respond to the scene and enter the hallway was talking to his wife on the phone as she bled out inside one of the classrooms. He is captured on video in the hallway yelling about it. The officers in the hallway also heard repeated gunfire and children screaming. They set up a triage area down the hall, anticipating mass casualties. They knew it was an active shooter and not a barricaded subject, they were just too cowardly to do the right thing and breach the classroom. The radios aren't responsible for 350+ cops ignoring their training. Please don't help them dodge accountability by blaming everyone and everything except the cops themselves.

😢 makes me sad knowing the kids took the risk to call the cops for help and the cops the “good guys” didint take the risk to save the kids if you wouldn’t rush in to save kids you wouldn’t rush in to save anyone (pussys) is the correct description call it like it is. Not this you want ratings bs no as human beings we want this to never happen again and understand why and how you could not go in and try to save kids……

It should also be noted that two unarmed men confronted, disarmed, and held the shooter in Denver's Club Q shooting. How does that compare to 375 armed "officers" who stood around for an hour listening to children being slaughtered?

Even more than the Uvalde Law Enforcement’s cowardly handing of the actual shooting incident I would argue the bigger story and more pressing issue is Uvalde’s Law Enforcement’s intimidation of witnesses and reporters. Uvalde hired a motorcycle gang to surround and intimidate reporters outside the funeral and their presence was just as much intended to intimidate the families of the victims into not talking to reporters. They made that very clear when Uvalde Police called the mother who hopped the fence and ran into school and brung her children and their classes to safety, they called her to threaten her not to talk to reporters or they’ll get her parole officer to violate her. Even the judge spoke out about that. Why is this not a bigger story. Cowardice is one thing in the face of an assault rifle, nobody wants to get shot, but intimidating the victim’s families and the press afterwards is a whole other thing, a much worse thing.
