If you do it yourself does that void warranty ? I have all the tools and experience to do it myself...I hate the wait time at the dealership and it takes 15 minutes to do it yourself you dont even have to use ramps with the Z71 silverado and 2500hd they sit high
Take pics of the receipt next to the odo is the best way to keep records. Even if you lose receipts or buy things in bulk, the dealer have to prove that it was lack of oil changes that ruined the engine. You can easily tell if someone changes the oil enough in an engine when you open it.
@@soriano2689 question if the needle is not at 60 after the oil change what does that mean . They just changed my oil at the dealership and its not at 60.
I have the same tool. Got it at Home Depot, Husky brand. It auto adjusts to the size of the filter as you turn the ratchet. Only for removing the filter though, it won't tighten the new one on.

No it does not void warranty just keep all receipts to prove you have done it on time.

This vid hurt my feelings. No torque wrench, changing oil at 45%, and running fuel to under 1/4 tank.. I'll get over it though.

Good but cheap oil and oil filter should do it by yourself don’t bring it to the shop cheap part higher charge.
