      Wow! Lifetime warranty! That’s a great insensitive to bring your truck in! My wife’s 2021 2.7 custom had the first year oil change covered by the company. When I set up the 1st oil change after the 12 Months they quoted me $182 (including oil, filter , necessary fluids & tire rotation) I asked if I did the oil myself will my factory warranty still be covered, they said “ as long as I keep records and receipts “ and here I am watching this video. Did you have to pay extra for lifetime warranty? Or just need to have them service it?

    • @awsmbug
      @awsmbug Před rokem +1

      In my experience from Hyundai, Toyota, Volkswagen, Mazda and no doubt others, the Dipstick level has been under the mark and even over the mark. When I've done an oil change on a new to me vehicle, with the exact amount of oil, and has been sitting on a level surface for awhile, I've put my own punch mark on the dipstick.

    • @tomm1109
      @tomm1109 Před rokem +2

      @@awsmbug I hear ya. I have a 71 Riviera with a 455 Buick motor and it reads full with 4 quarts in it. Everyone told me the pan should hold 5. So I put 5 in and made another mark about 5/8th above the original full line. I didn't see any bubbles on the stick after driving (from the crank hitting the oil) so I kept doing it and its been 20 years and 50,000 miles and no problems. Of course those old cars were notorious for poor fit to specifications. I would never imagine a modern car would be that far off. Still I'm curious how much you can over fill them. I think they probably have 1/4 to 1/2 quart leeway. But I like to be on the line.
