I love the Andalusians and for me the Dark Bay one is Arthur's Boadicea! They have an elegant walk, are strong, don't scare easily and with a good saddle they have decent speed! Love that this gives them more attention since I feel like they're often overlooked.

Honestly I think all Mustangs - Thoroughbreds - Andalusians are amazing horses. I honestly prefer catching wild horses. The Bravest of all horses (for my experience) is the Perlino Andalusian. The dark bay is amazing to, but whats the fun in buying one? I also think the Perlino Andulsian is braver then the dark bay. Amazing hunters. I like the strength and just that TANK of a body a Ardennes has. All War Horses Are Great Overall, but I agree with your opinion. Dark bay Andalusians are underrated.
I've always thought of Arthur as having an Andalusian. It befits his name as King Arthur and his surname Morgan (Morgan Le Fay). Andalusians were a preferred breed among royalty. That's why I always get the Perlino as his main horse.

Boadicea is a liver chestnut Hungarian halfbred. It's a unique cut horse from the beta blackwater chapter. It has a beautiful red coat and its stats are absolutely insane.(10 Health, 9 stamina,7 speed, 6 acceleration). Unlike other online/unobtainable horses spawned by trainers in the game which gets replaced by a common horse after loading a new save, this halfbred remains even after reloading the game. Moreover, it can't be saved in the stables just like gang horses. Arthur even rides thr exact same horse in the trailer.

I have an entire spreadsheet dedicated to Boadicea speculation. First, I determined which gang member has which horses and when, along with determining any duplicates both pre and post game. There aren't many duplicate horse breeds within the gang, leaving me to believe that Arthur's horse would have been unique in terms of breed. That leaves the Andalusian, Belgian Draft, Dutch Warmblood, Morgan, Shire, and Suffolk Punch in the running.
Like this theory, I believe that Boadicea was a red horse, though I do believe that her coat would have been a special coat with better stats unattainable in the game. Interestingly enough, all of these breeds in real life can have red or red hued coats. So lets move on, I do not think that she would have been a Suffolk Punch, Morgan, or Belgian Draft based on their overall size and/or bravery. My top three contenders are the Andalusian, Dutch Warmblood, and Shire.
All three of these horses are good sizes for Arthur, no one in the gang has these breeds, and they can all have red coats. The Shire I rule out simply because of their more gentle nature, and I believe an outlaw like Arthur would have preferred a horse with better handling and more speed. The Andalusian and the Dutch Warmblood both have standard handling, and a workable speed stat not counting any special coats that would possibly have BETTER speed stats, Buell is a good example for the Dutch Warmblood, as I believe his speed stat comes in at 7 or 8.
In Chapter 2, during the mission with John when you are sheep rustling, Arthur throws a line out there of "I was once the prize show pony, now I'm just a workhorse." A sad comment in and of itself considering how he sees himself, BUT I can't help but draw parallels so here we are. Andalusians have always been prized horses, they were used in war and they are today used a lot in dressage and other forms of show and competition. Warmbloods however, are mixed, they are often used in hunter jumper events and cross country (prized show pony) and a lot of people like them for ranch work (work horse).
So in conclusion to my long post speculating, I believe that Boadicea was a special red coat Dutch Warmblood that displayed exceptional bravery and had stats most likely similar to that of Buell. It fits even better, because they have such a nice physique, with a tall build that seems to be a perfect fit for Arthur, and no one else in the gang has a Dutch Warmblood during, or in any of the Epilogues.

That or the silver dapple pinto mft just because no one else has that from what I know, and Arthur points that out of al the horses. He could’ve pointed out Hungarian halfbreed or Morgan, but no he picked the mft.
@@dalmallama4634 While I love the Silver Dapple Pinto MFT and consistently have one in my stables, for Bodecia I usually rule them out because of my theory above, as Micah's horse Baylock is also a MFT.
However even if I don't think so, it's fun to theorize, and one could argue that since there are a few horses that are doubled up in the game (Charles and Trelawny both have Appaloosas for example) it presents a possibility for the MFT for Arthur as Micah is the only one in the gang that has one. It's fun to hear other people's theories too, and usually makes me ponder my own and look at a different perspective :)

I think she was a Liver Chestnut Hungarian half bred. It's a horse that was cut from the game but you can use a mod on PC to get it. It's stats are insane 10 health 9 stamina 7 speed 6 acceleration

If a case for a red horse is true, then i'm almost sure that Boadicea was (or is, maybe in the game it's still alive) a Liver Chestnut Hungarian Halfbred. This horse is hidden in the game files, you can activate him by using mods (some people done that on the console, idk how). Muscular and physique are perfect for Arthur and coat is just gorgeous. It's the most fitting horse for Arthur I personally can imagine. Plus it has some good stats, i remember it's like 10 health, 9 stamina, 7 speed, 6 acceleration. This horse is an actual tank.
In the game files, you can actually find a liver chestnut Hungarian Halfbred labeled Boadicea. Alot of people are suspecting that it is the actual horse from possible cut blackwater content. You can actually get it in save editor and it's a STUNNING horse. Decent size (like all the other Hungarians) and has a firery red colour to it. 10 health, 9 stamina, 7 speed and 6 acceleration at level 4.

Don't know where you got the notion thoroughbreds are brave from. Any I've ridden, even the seal brown Rachel which is John's epilogue horse, would get highly agitated from predators.

@7:45 I love that Mustang. Gave me such a hard time to catch it, bucked me off multiple times, ran away and despawned... he was really frustrating on my first playthrough but I did not really know how to catch horses. I lasso him all the time, which spooks him and makes him run wild when you approach him and run out of stamina. Finaly got him in a terrible rain and thunderstorm, which led to his name: "Storm". Nothing will ever get me off his back in this playthrough, not even my beloved Hungarian Halfbred.
From what I remember, John Marston can can even say the cost name “That is a Silver Dapple Pinto” if you leave it off for John Marston. Maybe if the silver dapple pinto Missouri Fox totter was Arthur’s horse wouldn’t rockstar have unique dialogue along the lines of “that breed looks familiar maybe hunting the fact at that.

John’s horse died after the blackoter, we can see her corpse at the beginning of the game in search of John
John actually doesn’t do the horse herding mission with the photographer. He skips right over it, I’m guessing since John isn’t as thorough of a horseman as Arthur was.

I’m a little late to the party but here is my theory. After the bank heists in blackwater, the law raids the gangs camp and all they find is boadica at the camp, so the law turns over the horse to the bank, so ansel atherton takes ownership of boadica who turns around and sells the horse to mr geddes. After receiving the horse he realizes that he can’t ride her based on the fact that he couldn’t even teach hid son to ride a Morgan. So the horse sits for 7 years till John Marston. So Bodacia in the beginning turns into Rachel in the end

There’s a new of get the Missouri fox totter silver dapple pinto in the Albert masons mission so what you do is when Albert is going to take the photo you have to track the horse and make sure the horse’s tracks are blue next track it after you have found the horse you cannot calm the horse because game won’t let you and it won’t even let you mount it so jump to the horse from your horse now you have tamed the horse you have to take it the stables put the saddle on it in the stables after that save your game and load it now you should be able to mount and dismount and make sure not to crash it when you are going to stables because you won’t be able to mount it.

Also if you're after "someone's" horse, the Lemoyne Raiders suck in taking care of theirs. Just look for their campsites.

the horse had to be some sort of war horse. boudica was trained to be a fighter and her father forced her to become one to protect her family because her mom was sick. boudica has red hair with freckles and a small nice with a chisel chin with greenish blue eyes. boudica was shorter with small feet and long legs

When Artur buy first horse at Valentine - he say "I want a new horse, some STRONG and FAST " , so I think Boadicea was a hybrid of race and work. And it is only one hybrid of the above classes (work+race) = Missouri Fox Trotter.
For me it must be and Andalusian, dutch warm blood, MFT or thoroughbred.

I recently broke in a blood bay thoroughbred and as soon as i got on it i thought, this is it, this must be how boadicea looked like, it just seems like the type of horse arthur would prefer, big, fast, strong, with beautiful red coloring. In fact, i changed mine's mane and tail to a red color and call her Boadicea II. :)
Tbh the only other horse i could imagine as boadicea is the dark bay andalusian as they are excellent war horses and fit almost every criteria.
A bay turkoman would also be the perfect boadicea in my honest opinion, but as you said, sadly not available for arthur. :(

I downloaded Rampage trainer and was able to access the cut horse, the Liver Chestnut Hungarian Halfbred. This horse is what many believe was Boadicea. I was using the Raven Shire horse before that. I just make it my head canon that Boadicea was lost but Arthur found her just outside Blackwater when meeting up with Charles, Javier and Trelawny when scoping out Blackwater for Sean haha.

Hey superantonio i've been watching your videos since april and now you are my favorite youtubers, I have tips and facts for you no.1 did you know that you can get the carcano rifle as early as chapter 4 during the rustling mission Uncle and you can look it up on CZcams and no.2 did you know that you can steal any stable horse for free from any stable so this how it works:
For example let's say you want a decent horse early on in the game after you unlocked stables with Hosea but you are too poor and not a fan of the Arabians well let's say you want golden Turkoman( Note that you can do this with any Horse at any stable this is just for example)
you head over Saint Denis and get a stagecoach ( since you can't enter stable with a stagecoach) after that you enter the stable and pull your gun and fire it so a Witness comes to investigate once he enters and the stable and sees you and he will and report to the law when he goes exit the stagecoach go to horse you want( gold Turkoman for example ) go the horse and feed it then get on the stagecoach and leave the stable by now you should be Wanted and once you exit the stable start whistle for the horse you should go a little bit away from the stable so the law wont see you once you are a little far from the stable stop the stagecoach and the horse should be running after you once it comes to you get on it by now the wanted level should go away go back and you will be able enter like nothing happened and funny enough the stable guy doesn't recognize the stolen horse. Now you can then stable your horse or ride it its your choice.

It’s possible that she was left behind in black water when they escaped. But the most likely is that she was shot during the black water massacre. That’s why Arthur had to borrow Taima from Charles.

The only time my Thoroughbred threw me off was, when a cougar was under her. They also don't jump 3 miles away when riding by a snake. They seem pretty brave to me compared to an Appaloosa or an Arabian.

So I've noticed everyone seems to believe there aren't any horse breeds within the gang that repeat, however, that isn't true. Taima (Charles horse), and Gwydion (Josiah's horse) are both Apploosas. Just thought I should mention that lol.
My personal theory for beaudicea(sorry im bad at spelling) is the coloring of the liver chesnut morgan, with a slightly more pronounced "inverted" dappling like the special addition thorughbred, with a long shaby mane of the MFT. Two things are for sure in my opinion, and its that the horse HAS to have a noticeable red mane and/or tail, and has to be a high quality horse.
My first reasoning behind this, is that beaudiceas most identifiable and trademark feature, in ancient writing, was her looong red hair and freckles. It only makes sense that the horse would have the same features. They could get away with a darker coat for the horse but the mane HAS to be red and have some kind of "feckled" markings(imo).
Secondly, we have to think of the symbolism of the heirachy the game presents us in terms of gang members roles in the game. Dutch and hosea are both of the founders/leaders of the gang and, very fittingly, have 2 of the 3 top teir horse breeds in the game (stats wise anyways). Dutch has his arabian, and hosea has his turkoman. This is why many are lead to believe that arthurs horse would be a MFT, since that is the 3rd option of top teir horses in storymode. Its also very possible that it could be a "repeat" of another gang members horse, so him having a mft wouldnt conflict with micahs. Ex: both charles and trelawney both have appolossas. Sadie and hosea both have turkomans....
Interestingly, micahs horse resembles the same coloring&pattern as the low honor horse in rdr1. It would be perfect, narratively, for arthur to also have a mft whos coloring contrast micahs.... Even if you dont play as "high honor" arthur, it would still fit narratively because of arthur and micahs rivalry for the position of dutches "right hand man".
I personally think arthur looks better on the "bigger" horses and would fit his big, dense, and brawny persona, so a MFT or war horse, or even a mix of the two would fit perfectly imho.
Its also worth mentioning that both the arabian and turkoman were at one point considered "royal" horses so its possible that arthurs horse could be a breed of "royal" horse that we do not have in present game. IF arthurs horse was a breed of "royal" horse that we currently dont have in game, and we're following the common theory of a tough, strong, fast AND beautiful horse, my pick would be the Friesian horse. They date back to the middle ages, where they were specifically bred for royal knights. Since Arthur essentially acts as the symbolic knight in game, this already seems fitting enough. Freisans often had long manes, were tough, but very swift war horses. They werent the biggest, but stood about the same height as the MFT. They were highly sought after for their bravery in battle and smooth fast gaites, long after the medieval period. Before hoity toity genetic purests got involved in the 1800's, freisans came in 3 coat colors. White, Black and Chesnut! (See the RDO chesnut turkoman for color reference). In the 1800's they were then used for multiclass work and were brought to america. If you google them, they look absolutely stunning. They were also used in the LOTR trilogy if anyone cares about that lol
Its also equally possible that his horse was a mix between two breeds, since other gang members horses are definitely of mixed origin i.e lennys maggie is a mustang mix, karens ol belle is also a mustang mix, johns old boy is a hungarian mix, bills brown jack is an ardenes mix, uncles nell is a walker or saddler mix ect.
Either way, I think we can all agree that arthurs beaudicea will be a very much anticipated character peice if they ever release dlc or a rdr3.
The Mustangs for me will always have a place in my stable as Arthur or John. My prefered horse for bounty hunting or gang raids.
I know that all horses are pretty much the same except exterior. But today I had a gunfight in Valentine. At first it was more of self defense but quickly escalated into a rampage. And I have to say that my one and only red chestnut arabian was a real war machine, good looking as hell war machine. I killed maybe 60 or 70 lawmen.
I didn't even realize mustangs were in the game until my third play through. Since then, I've really taken a liking to them. My current one, Stanger II, is gonna be the one Arthur dies with. Going out together!
You should also look into wild western movies that could have been an easter egg reference too.

The Aredennes can be aquired with arthur if you want. The only horses you can't get with Arthur are:
American Paint: Gray Overo
American Standarbred: Silver Tail Bucksin
Appaloosa: Brown Leopard
Missouri Fox Trotter: Silver Dapple Pinto
Mustang: Tiger Striped Bay
Thoroughbred: Seal Brown
Turkoman: Dark Bay and Silver
My guess is that Boadicea could have been a bright bay Missouri Foxtrotter or some horse breeds that Rockstar choose not to add into single player mode, like the Criollo or Kladruber

I think Arthur’s horse was a red chestnut turkoman because it’s the size that Arthur will like and it’s a warrior like Boadcia.
Or it could be the Iron grey Ardennes because it’s the only pre-order horse so you can’t have it with out mods or cheats.
I'm peronal theory is that boadicea was a raven black shire horse because you can only have a raven black shire as arthur Morgan not john marston
Curious how Boadicea was the name of a queen, this proves Arthur's dedication to his mare.
As far as story mode horse, I think Boadicea was either a mustang or a blood bay thoroughbred. If we can also speculate on online horses, I think she was a high level Criollo or Norfolk Roadster. Once you get to high level bonding those horses are pretty solid in bravery and are fast. I think Arthur appreciates a fast horse. :)
For me, Boadicea is the Dark Bay Andulasian you can get in chapter two. I have him with a red mane and tail, as well as the alligator saddle you can get from the trapper. Beautiful, beautiful horse. It's a shame he's a boy, though.

In red dead online after I got the brown and white Norfolk roadster moonshiner horse I immediately thought boadicea was the perfect name for the horse, it honors Arthur. I like to think that you can’t have it in the story as Arthur maybe couldn’t find a horse so rare and fast after he lost her. Plus Norfolk Roadsters are big tall and have the best speed and acceleration, fitting for the fastest boah in the west Arthur Morgan

I don’t think it’s any available horse in the game and could quite possibly just be the low honor horse you get in RDR 1 due to the fact that if you where to approach one I assume Arthur would react some how to how similar they look. I could picture Arthur having a horse that has jumped in the way when needed and is very protective of Arthur given the scars all over it.
I honestly think boadacea is either an andalusian or a turkoman. No one in the gang has an andalusian which would play into how the gangs all have their own breed of horse. Turkoman also makes sense considering arthurs rank in the gang and how close arthur is to both hosea and sadie the only two members to share the same breed. Im guessing boadacea if she was a turkoman wouldve been a unique coat like a bloodbay, red chestnut or something since most of the gang also have unique coats.

Boadicea was a Blood Bay Thoroughbred. That's been my head canon ever since I saw one in the wild (and associated the name) and I'm sticking to it! 🙂 Great video as always!

No I don’t believe that. All the gang had mostly different horses ( part from some of the ladies).
Dutch had an Arabian, Hosea had a turkomon, bill has an Ardennes, javier has an American paint and so on. No one has a Morgan, sullfolk punch, shire, Dutch warmblood, Belgian draft and the Andalusian. I doubt Arthur had a Belgian draft, punch or Morgan. And maybe not shire, but the Dutch warmblood and Andalusian is a possibility

I named my Blood Bay Thoroughbred "Boadicea" to honor Arthur's lost horse and I like to think he owned a similar horse beforehand. I also gave her red mane and tail at the stable. Also I absolutely love the Thoroughbreds in this game. They're so underrated. I do wish they had better stats tho, but honestly I don't even care abt stats that much anymore, I just the horses I like the most and the Blood Bay Thoroughbred is def one of my favorite horses in this game. I also prefer taller horses for Arthur so I think the Thoroughbred's size is perfect for him.

My reverse dapple black thoroughbred has good speed and acceleration but terrible health.
usually when people refer to red horses they are talking about chestnuts which is what non horse people call red. Chestnuts have a red mane and tail and come in different shades of "red" the Andalusian in strawberry is dark bay and the blood bay tb is not red I think it was a special coat color horse and it be cool if they had more information on her or old picture I just change the mane and tail color of the Hungarian half bred and you have a perfect chestnut mare for Arthur. only issue is the eyelashes stay white since the go mane and tail are white.
i was thinking about the red arabian :), but i think that wouldn‘t have fitted arthur..
i think that it was a dutch warmblood or thoroughbred
Judging the fact that the gang members own one of a kind color of the breeds in game, i would like to think arthurs horse was something special, but as far as the breed goes, who knows. Personally i see Boadicea as a dutch warmblood or adulsian.
That or Boadicea was a red Chestnut Turkoman (Online only).
I know who Boadicia is it’s cerbus because boadicia started with. B and the dark bay turkouman that u can get in chapter three had a B on it rear so maybe that’s a clue

I think the Amber Champagne MFT was Boadicea. Arthur and Micah are completely opposite which is reflected in their horses, Micahs horse being nearly all black with small bits of white which reflect who he is, bad (main coat part of the horse) and the white representing the very small amount of good he does. And Arthur’s Amber Champagne shows who he really is, a good person (the main part of the coat) who has done bad things (the dark colouring near the hooves). Also looking at the high honour screen effect it’s extremely similar to the coat of the Amber Champagne. It’s also quite fitting that it is unlocked in chapter 4, which is when I think Arthur starts to be who he really is. Arguments can be made about if he is low honour but I think the true way to play the story is to be a good honoured person.

I got a horse during that mission and named it boadicea II and I got a white Arabian and named it boadicea III
I bought a disc so that I could find the gray-pink Arabian mare, playing as Arthur. I want to call her Boadicea. But it turned out that in this way you can only find a stallion, mares never appear

Maybe boadecia is the white Arabian and Arthur kinda used it ironically because every time the white Arabian is a female ( well for me )

Maybe its unique black hungarian half bred with a brownish color
I think I lucked out maybe I got a red chestnut Arabian female. My main horse tho is a dark bay female Andalusian with a long red mane and tail aswell lol
