- Leaving one's country to practice abroad is never an easy decision, and we are often left worrying if we have done the right thing. There are a lot of considerations to be made, plans to be thought of, and worries to be (rightly!) had. So Dr. Ibrahim thought perhaps it would be of use to those in a similar predicament as he once was to understand his reasons and why he felt it necessary to leave Bangladesh in order to pursue his career as a doctor in the UK.
Many international medical graduates may find overlap or commonalities in what he talks about, and we hope that it helps you all come to a decision, what ever that may be!

Amidst all the oohs and ahs and escalation of prep-works going around regarding the 45th BCS exam (where 800+ plus doctors are to be appointed) among my peers , Its so reassuring for me to see that these are the exact same points which made me decide to take the PLAB route. It has only been more than a month into my internship and by the grace of The Almighty I have passed my OET recently and looking forward to take the PLAB 1 exam on Nov 2023. I cannnot thank you and Dr. Ibreez enough for all the help and info that I got from " Road to UK". Keep up the good work vaia. ❤️
Good luck on your journey! Hope to see you here soon :)
Bro I'm also a Bangladeshi govt. Consultant, anesthesia. And I've watched the total video and i totally agree with you, that i must say and that's why i'm also preparing myself to leave my native land although It's already late decision from me.I will take part in the FRCA exam next year and OET/IELTS exam.I'm totally speechless and frustrated about my present status and concern with my future here.
You can do this- the UK doesn't care at what stage you start. Good luck!
Great points sir! Love the video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I'm a pediatrician and did I my MRCPCH in pediatric alsoy English level is B2 plus, have a decent experience but im 40 years old and mother of 4 kids, married already, is it possible yet to get a job opportunity in UK, especially in my situation?

Is coming to uk for full training till consultant and returning to your home country (india for me) a viable option? Are they any hurdles put from uk's training system or in general do you see any downsides of choosing this path?
Thank you for pointing out.
Thank you for watching!
Hello doctor Ibrahim! I have been asking this question from many NHS doctor and got no answer yet.i am FRCR aspirant and want to do research in my home country my question is whether it's necessary for me to do all the research about radiology or i can do it on any topics? Please reply me
Very nice vaiya. . Excellent explanation and reasoning ♥️
Thanks for watching!
I totally understand with the favoritism and rat race. That's what been happening in Malaysia. I have been loyal my job and the medical association here and after 5 years in the same department applying for masters every single year and got rejected every single year, that's what changed my mind and make me want to migrate to the UK so bad.
Good luck in your journey!
I'm turning 33 and have a masters in public health and community medicine. I want to work in the UK i know the steps overall, but the details that make up the decision, as the total costs of the journey,, the nature of the job regarding the age and personality of a candidate. Specially the total costs , and my age are my issues now , and searching for specific data that you really need is very exhausting
Hello sir, I studied in china due to covid 19 we were supposed to take online classes, is online classes due to covid is accepted for registration? Please help me many people are waiting to know this from my side
Assalamu alaikum vaia, I really liked this video, because u just pointed out the things that are destroying bangladeshi doctors careers. I also took a very wise decision by choosing my career abroad. All we can hope one day the whole scenario will change in our country.
Walaikum assalaam. InshaAllah!
I am a medical student in England and am thinking of countries to move to many years down the line after I become a consultant. I was wondering what it’s like to live in Bangladesh as a consultant? Is the money good, can you establish your own private practice, how much money do you need to have a nice life in Bangladesh, what is the work life balance like for a consultant?
Brother, what are the steps taken for a medical Dr from Bangladesh to become a Dr in the UK?
How i can prepare for mrcp from first year?
Please make video on plab vs mrcp.
Please make video on the whole process of mrcp
Being a doctor in Pakistan all this sounds so familiar. Thanks for the candid view
Our pleasure!
Hello Doctor. I have a question: If I am able to do get my OET results by March 16 GMC register by then would it be realistic to do book my PLAB 1 on November?
I can book an earlier English exam which gives me my results by late Febuary (but it would be inconvenient) would that make a difference?
@roadtouk I have my Plab 1 come Feb and plan to move to UK in the second half of '23. How much should I save up for the one month stay during course? Is 1000 pounds still enough?
Atlest 2500 pounds
You need to make a budget of what you think you'll spend and try and keep at least 2.5-3x that amount.
I feel the same way vaia. I wish I could overcome all the struggles to achieve the success to work in UK as a doctor 🥺
Good luck!
Can we take MSRA (to enter GP training) outside of the UK ? And does passing msra grant you gmc registration (without taking plab ) ?
Can our parents stay with us there for rest of life ? do they also need to give any exam ? Or being a doctor in uk will just do that?
They can visit for 6 month stretches.
as a pre med in the us, I want to become a doctor here, than becoming a doctor in Bangladesh, to help relatives, and other unfortunate people in Bangladesh. That's my goal because I love my home country, and also be with my relatives in BD, than working as a doctor with bringing my family here.
What documents do we need for gmc registration?
Please see: roadtouk.com/gmc-registration/papers-needed-for-gmc-registration/
Thank you ❤,

This has been discussed in several videos already: czcams.com/video/GTn9BPDLCR0/video.html
Will imgs still be able to entry uk in 2029? Will it be tough to get a job? Its really eating me everyday when i think to move to uk which is my uktimate dream .pls reply sir
Great work tho, always love your video stay in touch plz i would need your help !!
It's hard to say. No one would have been able to tell you 10 years ago that things would be this easy for IMGs, so similarly one can't say if things will change again.
@@RoadToUK Thanks a million for reply..to be honest i have been reading up articles about doctor shortage in uk by 2030 which gives me a little relief
Ibreez is too beautiful. You are lucky man 😊
😊
Some people brings out the religion in matters of going abroad which proves their lack of knowladge about religion itself.
As a government doctor working in bd,i can assure u,95% doctors income arent halal in bd govt sectors if u put islamic ruling of jobs in this context.
There are thousands of muslims from pakistan/india/bd living in Europe including uk as much more practising than poeple living in bd.
Money is jmportant but in the rat race of making money in bd we forget to enjoy the purpose of making money.
mbbs in uk samporke bangla vedio chi❤
Hlw,sir,
I am from BD🇧🇩
Welcome!
The nepotism part 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Sad truth!
Yes
How many doctors remain in your country?
🤷🏻
Starting new mbbs journey in India this year
Good luck!
Is it halal for a Muslim to be living in a non Muslim country?
What about Indian Muslims?they born in a non Muslim country.
Wat do u mean
It's haram bro, don't go there.
Haram..stay in ur country
Not haram to live in any part of world. But need to practice islam
Hello sir!
Can I know something?
Is it good to do MBBS in Bangladesh or UK?
Or is it good to go to UK after doing MBBS in Bangladesh?
Depends on your situation.
