- I finally got some holding capabilities on my new workbench.
Here's the video of Jay Bates putting the vices on HIS bench where I got my inspiration for my leg vice.

Dude, great vid.
I'm building a woodworking/project bench and saw your video. Its an older video but you cracked me up with your wit and I learned a few things too. Good job!
Thanks very much!
I got an antique one of these I got for free, it's been sitting outside on a metal working table i made years ago, gonna bring it inside today and throw it into my table, nice job
Thanks very much! I don't use my leg vice all the time, but I love that it's there when I need it.
@@WoodenThingsAndStuff I decided to turn mine sideways level with the table and I'm glad i did
Nice work!! ... Have had this on my list of 10 million projects since I saw Jay's video on them.
Thanks. You have a longer list than I do, but if it was me, I'd move it up that list. I have a feeling this one will make the other ones easier.
Nice job! Looks great.
Thanks, Rod. I'm pretty happy with it.
Very nice!
Thanks. I think it'll have a significant impact
Nice work! I’m getting ready to drill the hole for the screw in mine - can you tell me what size hole you drilled? The screw is 1 3/16” but my 1 1/4” spade bit feels like it leaves too much slop. Thanks!
Don't remember the exact size, but I didn't worry about thhe little bit of slop, because it has a metal collar on both front and back that it rides in.
