Just to clarify. The faulty BGA chip is not a wireless charging IC. it's more of a power IC that is used to manage charging voltage
Yes, correct and well spotted. I believe there is another IC between the problematic BGA and the charging port. Just thought I’d mention it. Maybe worth a quick look and probe about before siting new component. Issue may happen once again if fault still exists. Hope this helps.

It depends on what you are working on. For multi layer boards around 430c on average.

11:15 doesn't every Samsung phone, after the note 7 catastrophic battery issues, refuse to charge without the temperature sensor, located on the nfc coil, being attached?
what if you put some amps to the short area and see if what is getting hot? to find exactly the short?
How do you know the chip was bad? It looks like reseating might have been enough

Yep. Exact phone that I have. It has the black screen of death. I have no idea why this happened. I have researched and tried everything everyone has said to do. The phone will not come on at all
My HTC 10 fell and since then every time I turn the camera on the phone it will go haywire, and I won't be able to use it again unless I do a force restart. I am willing to ship it out to you if you can fix it. please let me know

I don't think that had a liquid damage. Maybe the ip protector glue melted due to the high temperature?!

That isn't a charging IC. It's just an over voltage protection mosfet. You can just solder a jumper between some pads on the mosfet or between the two caps.

My poco f1 has a problem, the usb port is not working except he charging . OTG not working, PC connection is not working, Fast charging also stopped working. i changed daughter board but not fixed the problem. then what could be the real problem, thanks

Just a tip, put the black plastics back on before trying to charge , some Samsung phones won't charge correctly without them
this is nit the case but yes, and that because if im not wrong its because theres a temperature sensor in the wireless charging coil
