IMO this is one of Queen’s brightest moments on stage! Freddie’s vocals are emotional & textured .. Brian’s guitar solo is freakin’ amazing .. Good ol’ Roger’s drumming is killer .. but I do have to say the biggest beam of light is on John here! Omg! We were lucky enough to have the camera focus on Deaky’s fast fingers slappin’ that bass!! Amazing Amazing!!

This is a stellar performance of this song. I really love the bass throughout, there are times when John's fingers are flying. Every bit of this song is perfection. If you haven't done March Of The Black Queen already, you really should. Do the studio version the live are just snippets of the song, also the end is tricky because it sounds like it ends but it kicks back in. Thank you for your reaction.

I loved the reaction! I was also very surprised by this 70's style, the versatility of this band is incredible. If you want to know more about Queen at that time, I strongly recommend a reaction to "White Queen", it was this song by Brian that inspired Freddie to write "Killer Queen", their first big hit, and both gave Freddie the idea to name the band from Queen.
And yes, they are all extremely talented, so much so that they released solo work at some point in their careers and still managed to stay together. On Queen's last major tour in 1986, Freddie responded to breakup rumors that they would stay together until they died, today we know how true this is as they released amazing records even when they couldn't go on tour anymore.
    A few more recommendations:
"Save Me" - Live in Montreal
"Wo Wants to Live Forever" - Live at Wembley
"A Kind of Magic" - Live at Wembley
"One Vision" - Live at Wembley

LIAR and STONE COLD CRAZY (same concert) are two of my early Queen live performances. You are right - each band mate gets a special spotlight. But for John, it just seemed one of his happiest moments, framed between him singing with Freddie to that solo. Crisp, clean, sharp - very tight on all fronts.

Well seeing this post almost makes it worth being up at this ungodly hour. Love this sond by my favorite queen. Freddie was truly one of a kind, i think best singer ever, he could have taught a master class on confidence 😊 and taught jagger swagger😂. I agree about the group, always thought brian was so underrated i think because they were in the era of the " guitar gods" and kind of got lost in the shuffle. The entire group was magic. Freddie even did an opera duet with moserette at the sidney opera house, now thats all around talent! So happy you are enjoying the pure magic that was queen, thank you for posting this not much reacted to song, we appreciate the work you do

@@555Vibes MJ appropriated the glove look but he also encouraged Queen to release “Another One Bites the Dust” as a single (which they weren’t planning to do). It was their second #1 hit in the States! Also, Freddie & Michael collaborated on a couple of songs that were never released (available on YT), the project wasn’t completed because Freddie took offense to the presence of MJ’s pet Llama in the studio.😀

Go back & listen to this song on a device where you can adjust the EQ - max the bass, min the treble & you have an entirely different song. John is so very underrated. His skill & talent was amazing & particularly during live performances allowed Brian to jump into the spotlight for his solos without leaving a huge hole in the arrangement since they didn't have a rhythm guitarist.
2 absolute musts for early Queen are
March of the Black Queen lyric video - Bo Rhap before there was a Bo Rhap
White Queen Hammersmith Odeon '75 - the piano/guitar duet in the middle gives me chills every time I hear it.
Obviously there are many more amazing early Queen, but those are 2 of my favorites.
BTW - the percussion instrument Roger was playing you didn't recognize is a cowbell. 😮😁
