  • Some of the craziest stories yet! Brent is part of the legendary Sutter Family from Viking, Alberta - Played in the NHL for 18 seasons andis a two-time Stanley Cup Champion with the Islanders, a 3 time Canada Cup Champion, and post playing career, coached with the NHL’s New Jersey Devils and Calgary Flames. Brent also had a huge role in Canadian Junior Hockey as Owner, General Manager & Head Coach of the Red Deer Rebels, winning the 2001 Memorial Cup along the way, AND if that wasn’t enough - he also coached Canada’s World Junior Team to IHHF World Juniors Championship Gold medals in both 2005 and 2006!     Great interview! Love the stories and all the names from the past when hockey was real hockey. Gotta love the humility shown by Brent, a true Western Canadian! 🇨🇦

    Thanks for the podcast. I really enjoyed it. I grew up in alberta and played hockey. The sutters have contributed so much to our provinces minor hockey. My dad played against brent in the whl and has told me lots of storeys about him and mess. He used to say mark was the only guy he ever played against that he was afraid to block his shot.
