  • We are switching it up a bit and are pleased to welcome our first coach to the show, but not just any coach - we are thrilled to have NHL Legend Scotty Bowman! Scotty was a head coach in the National Hockey league for 30 seasons and holds the record for most wins in NHL history, with 1,244 wins in the regular season, plus another 223 wins in the Stanley Cup Playoffs and is often regarded as the greatest coach in NHL history.
As head coach, he has won a record nine Stanley Cup championships; five with the Montreal Canadiens in the 1970’s, one with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1992 and three with the Detroit Red Wings in 1997, 1998 and again in 2002. He is the only NHL head coach in history to lead three different teams to Stanley Cup victories. He has also won the Cup five times as a member of the front office giving him a total 14 Stanley Cup rings!! He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1991 - we are thrilled to have legend Scotty Bowman - 90 years young, to join us on this week's show!

Scotty has likely forgotten more about hockey than most of us even think we know. He should be a consultant to the league ~ imagine the wisdom he could impart.

17:07 That’s wrong. The 1975-76 team had 1 loss in the playoffs and the 1976-77 team at 8 losses in the regular season and 2 losses in the playoffs.
24:56 Bob Cole died not long after this interview.
38:42 Best player he ever coached.

Sweet Jesus. First thought, no way is he 90. Unless he;s got the de-aging filter on the webcam. Will return to listen. Wonder if the disaster abuse scandal in Chicago gets brought up. And worse , his son is mixed up in the coverup. HIS wins record should last forever.
