  • Kevin Lowe is a 6 time Stanley Cup Champion and the first player ever drafted by the Edmonton Oilers. He was selected 21st overall in the 1979 NHL Entry Draft. Lowe then became the first player to score a goal for the Edmonton Oilers NHL franchise. A strong, steady stay at home defencemen, Kevin patrolled the blue line for the Edmonton Oilers for 13 seasons and helped lead them to 5 Stanley Cups before being traded to the New York Rangers where he played for 4 seasons, and won his 6th Stanley Cup! He returned to Edmonton for one more season as a player, before eventually becoming the Head Coach for the 1999-00 season, then the General Manager, and eventually the Vice Chairman of the Oiler Franchise before retiring from Senior management in August of 2022. He also was challenged to a "Barn Fight" in Lake Placid, New York, by then Anaheim Ducks General manager, Brian Burke - True Story!! Watch the episode, it's a pretty funny & crazy story! This upcoming playoff series between Edmonton and Vancouver is going to be a fun one! Great interview with Kevin Lowe Gino. This channel should be much bigger in my humble opinion. I can’t believe all of the amazing guests that Gino has had appear on this podcast.
