The âI need to adjust thisâ on the wheel reflector got međ€Ł
Sameđđđđ
Same hahahahah

Ah, those things are "fun" to have... By law here we have to have them on to prevent getting a fine from overly bored policemen, so what we do is we clip them on for the ride to the forest, take them off once there and repeat on the way home. Except once I forgot to take them off and one of them managed to hit me in the face when it decided to yeet itself at 45 km/h downhill on a road.
I was hoping he'd throw it
Thanks for featuring the headset caps we made for you! It's an honor to see those on your video and on your bike. Thanks for making such an important contribution to the world of cycling!
Also, we have nearly 100 videos on our channel about framebuilding for anyone who wants to check that out.
Those headset caps look amazing!
Dope
Hey Seth, we need a pin over here!!!!
Here before this comment blows up
You guys did amazing with the PLP topcaps. These Berm Peak ones look just as great.
I like how honest he is. "I don't need a new bike because my old one is perfect and dialed but I guess the contract says I need a new bike in a new color so here we go."
Works well for the company too, he's saying the bikes last which is what we wanna hear
@@estefano9e definitely!
Every time I see you do a tubeless conversion/anything tubeless related I remember the great explosion from a while back where there was just sealant everywhere. It kinda looked like you also had that in mind in this video. Classic. Even Oscar looked a little nervous. Bright color bike... at least its not yellow. đ
Yellow is better
@@lvpheno7025 then I suppose you enjoy pineapple o your pizza as well...
@@WestCoastMountainBiker I do!!!
@@schwuzi đ€Łđ€Ł
Touché. I'm sorry. There is an on going debate about people who enjoy pineapple on their pizza and those who don't. I used this to relate to the color yellow. Just not a fan. Don't get met wrong. Orange is not much better. But in this case it doesn't look too bad.
@@WestCoastMountainBiker pineapple DOES NOT belong on pizza. sweet corn does. orange on bikes don't work. unless its fox orange, that looks amazing
"Gotta find the hole.. Gets easier with experience" - I see what you did there Seth!
He has a child
Soooo ig thatâs true
The wireless GX shifting is amazing man. You can dial everything in so perfectly using the app itâs pretty incredible. Canât recommend it enough.
Is it worth buying if i don't do barspins?
@@buildduje absolutely. Mine has changed my riding 100% and will NEVER go back. (Unless the grid fails and the world ends)
Yeah until you go to a race with 100 other bikes running AXS systems and you experience interference or SRAMs âself changeâ feature (read bug đ)
For you - might be. For some people having a robust drivetrain that will last 20 years with minimal maintanance is a must.
@@stilianivanov3377 there is not a cassette, chainring, or derailleur on the planet that would last 20 years of mountain biking.
Gotta say big fan of the Orange! seems like a good build kit from Diamondback as well. Would love to see the old bike be given to someone deserving again. That is always awesome.
Lets give Seth some time. He is still in love with his 'old' bike đ and is almost forced to say goodbye to hours and hours of fun with it and start a New relationship. It takes some time đ€Ł
Maybe people will think my bike is a better model than it is now. My Diamondback Atroz 3 from a few years ago is the same color so hopefully I can get mistaken as someone who can afford a 5C
Cheap ass pro-tip: Those giant zip ties that come with new bike packaging are so big, it's super easy to release the lock with a screwdriver and then you can reuse them again for something else. Giant zip ties do come in really handy. I used the ones that came on my Santa Cruz for years to attach my light batteries to my frame :)
I use that to secure loose cables đ
@@Sebfish I used zip ties to hold cables to the frame on my 1980's road bike and from it sitting outside for a few years unprotected they snapped easily while I was replacing the derailers.
Every bike builder knows that taking off the packing is the longest part of build đ
So many goddam zip ties
@@JFFilmsMTB it was packing tape for me
I agree
i spend most of my time building giants and state bikes. a transition takes no time at all but pivot and santa cruz also take ages.
I really hope you frame up or put up that old bike for display in the garage. Its the legendary Drama. We miss him and will never forget that cute ol pup!
I'm glad you talked about this, I always love seeing new bikes and you set them up!
5:06 was just perfect timing
Seth really knows berm peak like the back of his house
đ€Ł
I know, he rides there so much it's like he lives there!
How much riding before you can master a course like that?
Seth be having a PTSD when pumping the tire.
Never forget, "The great sealant massacre of 2020"
The old frame belongs on the wall! That decal of drama on the head tube is priceless!!!
Diamondback frames have come a long way. Glad to see them back in the fray and there's no denying that you've helped them get alot of exposure. They were a boutique brand back in the 80's when I used to ride BMX (these brands didn't embrace the MTB revolution: Skyway, CW, Mongoose, Redline, Haro) although Mongoose is making strides. Would love to see DB and Mongoose grab some markethshare by lowering prices on high end bikes. Good looking ride BTW
Great bike dude!! The colour looks amazing and can't really complain about the old one too can't hate a blue/black matte frame!! Merry Christmas Sethđ đ the top cap looks amazing too!! The bike's looking great and about your bruse it does look bad but how did you ride soo good with such a bruise you are a legend!!
You should turn your old bike into a slopeduro (yup, that's a thing now) single speed rig!
I love this!!
@@BermPeakExpress All your bikes are so sick Seth lovin the videos always keeping up to date even though I don't bike anymore due to being homeless at 19 and have just got of the streets and currently living in a hostel ,I'd love to get back into biking but I'm just struggling financially so bad rn and can't work due to injury on my back but anyway keep up the good work and keeping me and many others great entertainment
Seth.. i highly recommend you to research on Marzocchi history... was one of the pioneers of the suspensions field and one of the greatest before even Fox was born...
Hey seth i just wanted to say how much of a change you made in my life during the first lock down i watched your videos and i got my fisrt moutin bike (trek marlin 5 2022) you dident only teach me how to fix and what not what to buy for your bike you inspired me to start riding thankyou so much
Hey Seth! Love your videos.Helped so much during quarantine.đđ
Looks great! Is the weight comparable to the older unit? I have those suspension components on my ride, and it didn't take as long as I thought it would to set up. Plus, adjustments for terrain changes is quick. (cuz you know what you want and you just dial it) Color is great. Lots of bright LOOK AT ME colors are the norm now! Be safe!
Awesome congratulations! Iâm so excited! Color looks awesome!
Props for excellence in editing when matching the air compressor with the audio track at 5:06. Love these vids! đ€
Love these videos....Awesome looking new bike!
Diamondback is making a comeback
Hey Seth! Great video. That new colour is awesome. Also its really cool that the logo on the head tube is black not white and it looks much better.
I had these serious colour bikes for years. Black with red, black with grey, dark blue .... bronze ....
Then I got a Nomad in "adder green" colour and it just cheers me up every time I look down at it. It's harder to clean and it is really hard to colour match.... it is not elegant ..... yet .... I just love the colour.
I imagine the orange is just like that. I used to have a fluorescent orange frame waaaaaay back and I loved it too.
@Berm Peak Express would love to see a video on how you spend a session adjusting suspension and what you look/feel for.
hi Seth I'm from the Philippines i enjoy watching your videos. i love mountain biking and your videos are so informative on the type of bikes to build depending on your riding style. I'm just a beginner and i don't intend to do hardcore biking, biking is more of a hobby and exercise for me. keep up and ride safe.
When the music cuts on the first run with the bike, the suspense is so masterful on this channel - it happens every now and then that when the music stops, someone gets hurt. Iâm glad that wasnât this time.
That head-mounted GoPro angle really conveys the sketchiness of Berm Peak.
congrats on the new bike, hope too see your next review on it. have a fun and safe rides and happy new 2022 year.
Love the videos. I keep watching these and really want to get into the sport. Pinching pennies to get a decent hard tail soon. Can't wait to learn more
New bikeđ Love these kind of vidsđ
Yeah too
I love new bike day, and I love the flip bike series
Thanks for posting these vids. I've been way too busy to ride so I gotta live vicariously through you.
Thanks for this video Seth! I really got my hyped up again in this cold winter because im waiting on my first ever brand new MTB that should come i may.
such a nice color!
Man I wish I had that âoldâ bike lol
Greetings all the way from MĂ©xico city my son and I are new subcribers, we love bikes, but can't afort those nice bikes like you have in you garage. It's a dream to have something like that Here in MĂ©xico we have something like a fleemarket well kind of lower we call it mercado, like chacharas or use parts when ever we find one good part we just asamble our bikes with where ever we can scrap and make it work.. and we go for a ride in the park but like you know when you have an use bike with use parts it brakes down đ but it doesnt stop as to keep trying have fun i told my son when you grow up and have a good job you can buy one of those fancy bikes like the dimondback you have. With the pandemic i lost my job so we use the old bikes we buy from the fleemarket or tianguis here in MĂ©xico... we enjoy watching you hacks and how you can ride at the back of you own house. You take care and please make a video buying a old bike like as and put it togueter with where ever parts you can find useđ saludos..
Such a chill video, I love the gopro shots down the whole course.
Looks like a beautiful bike, I ordered a fezzari delano a couple months ago and this is very similar, but I would never even consider the 5c for 1 reason: Diamondbackâs peculiar âinternal cable phobiaâ
Thats a good way to celebrate christmas
Merry Christmas to you allđđđ
The feeling of having new mountain bikes is the best thing to ever happen in our life
Dream bike, thanks for doing this video. Look forward to seeing some new content with it
Damn it Seth! I always get my hopes up that you'll be doing something different when you say so at the beginning of the video...only to be immediately let down by you telling me that it's actually kinda the same. Damn it! I fall for it each time! Doh!!!
I like when you do head cam video through that trail you should do a head cam video through all of your trails some time
Awwwwww yeaaaahhhh......new bike day! New rig looks great, Seth. Had to laugh at turning down an annual offer of a new bike as a brand ambassador......I would be like...."you know Christmas comes every year, don't ask silly questions!"
Always a bonus when it come just about ready right out of the box! Looking forward to more reviews on the new ride. Happy Holidays to you and the family. All the best for 2022 and looking forward to the new year vids! Best, Derek
Always love riding with you Seth
I never liked orange bikes but DAMN that looks good
Neon color frames with everything else black always works well on mountain bikes
Make cross marks on the bridge with a chainsaw to give it grip
I ride a Diamondback because of your videos. Saw a great deal on one and figured "Hey, if it's good enough for Seth, it's good enough for me". In my 30 years of riding it's the best fitting and best performing bike I've owned.
Here are a few upgrades I thought of:
Fox Float DPX2 to Float X (much better for trail riding)
Alloy Truvativ crank to carbon crank (like the Truvativ Descendant Carbon)
SRAM AXS drivetrain (which was mentioned in the video). Either GX or X01, but with an X01 or XX1 cassette (apparently the GX cassettes develop noise problems over time, and also the X01/XX1 ones last longer).
Just so that way you know, you generally don't want to have an o-ring in between the valve stem nut and the rim. The reason for this is this could allow the chamber of a double walled rim to become pressurized. It only really comes up if the rim tape isn't perfect.
Great video and love the orange!
It wouldnât pressurize unless every spoke managed to seal up. Most valvestems come with nuts with built in o-rings to go up against the rim. If anything the ring just helps put constant compression on the valve and keeps the nut from backing off.
@@danielstaelgraeve9522 Yeah itâs incredibly unlikely that everything else would pressurize, didnât think about how the o ring would put constant pressure on the valve stem nut which explains its purpose
I like the mix up in the beginning
This bike looks freaking sick! Love it
âI gotta find the whole, it gets easier with experience â -Seth 2021
Whenever i see people struggling with removing stickers i just gotta come and say: Use lighter fluid to melt the glue.
Just soak the sticker in it, peel it off and clean the area with a rag
Works on anything from vinyl record sleeves, comicbooks and movie cases to glass, metal and plastic without damaging the art or paint underneath
I learned this trick from my local smoke shopđ
Thanks, gotta try that. I have a sticker that needs removing đ
Been waiting for these kinda vids!
it looks absolutely fantastic!
Love the new bike & orange colour - Happy New Year đ€
I had a Diamondback in the 80s. Good to see that they are still around đ
I love the colour, watching you has really sparked my interest in riding again
Turned out great, good job !! đŻđ
i love the paint job, the orange is great!
Awesome video! I recently got back in to MTB cuz of this channel. I had to stop cuz work had me going over seas a lot but now Iâm back state side for a few years and I canât wait so see all the cool trails that the east coast has to offer.
Happy Christmas Seth, thanks for another year of information, entertainment and smiles
Always watching your videos from start to finish, always find a lesson , thanks
More videos , God bless
Great video as always. I dig the all orange. Nice change of pace from the all black. Enjoy you deserve it!
I love that color! Plus the blue accents makes that a very pretty bike đČ Very nice finished product đđ
I like the new bright frame, it lets the components stick out a bit more.
That top cap looks DYNAMITE! Very nice touch.
This is my new favourite Channel!! I donât even have a bike but after years of not owning one this making me want to get back into itđȘđŒ
Hey Seth, thanks for getting me into mtbing! I havent watched many of your videos recently but every time I do I wonder why I stopped!
i love the brighter colour way. That bike really looks sweet! Cheers!
Great video my dude! Love the new color
I have a 2021 diamond line and I absolutely love it.
nice bike and trails, keep rolling.
Sharp looking bike! Also slick components! Way to represent the brand!!
Seth that Is by far the best đ bike set-up video I've watched on your channel keep it up and keep sending it.
love every thing you do! love the orange
love the bike looks sick and merry christmas
this was the tine when i was starting watching you whe you build that ramp on your driveway, great times...
Working on my build and sheesh its going to be a really crazy challenge for me . Have fun with that bike and hope to see more content with that bike
More power! More videos! Sir Seth
Love the colorway! I'm a sucker for the color orange so this hits home for me
great addition to the collection seth
Iâve been dying for a new bike day video!
Such a good rider!! Nice thing is if you don't like that rear air shock you can always swap it out of your old coil.
Wow that was a quick suspension adjustment
Great video as always⊠But a little tip for your small equipment ( packer) left out in the elements cover it with a small tarp or piece of Polly. Water has a funny way of over time finding itâs way through and into your engine.
Congrats on the new bike! Looks sick.
New bike looks awesome.
Merry Christmas and Happy New y
Year to all at Berm Peak
Love the color canât wait to get out on my bike.
Sweet as always!!!
Merry Christmas Seth đ
Sweet!đđ like the orange!
Always check your brake rotor bolt torque. recently i had my front brake rotor wring off because all but two screws had vibrated lose. thankfully no hub damage but still could've been bad if i had been on the trail.
Awesome as usual!
An orange frame in the quiver is a must!!!
The new âPumpkinâ? Love the bike. DB is definitely worth considering.
