In this video we are testing out and showing you how to use the Twin Hole Jig System by Massca Tools! Links below to pick one up for yourself!! This little tool is fantastic and easy to use. Definitely recommend this if you are just getting started in woodworking and DIY, and if you are trying to save a bit of money in getting started. You aren't going to short yourself on many features by going this route, and in fact even if you have an M1 or M2 setup already there is still value in owning a smaller more portable jig like this one for unique and special applications.

Would like to see you how you attack it and more on what size screw to use for different thickness boards
Thanks. I just bought something that looks identical in Australia, but itâs branded as being made by Detroit. I wasnât sure how to set the depth of the drill bit with this one, vs the Kreg one I have so this overview of the features and the set up was very helpful. Cheers.
Thanks for the comment! I think Massca licenses the design for sale over here and itâs another brand overseas, but not 100% on that. I think itâs called Trend elsewhere. Good luck with the jig, itâs a solid one!
Cheers. I only mentioned it as you may be able to adjust the description or title on your video to reach more people. Iâm going to subscribe to your channel as a result of this video đ
Awesome review man! I love that the stop flips to the other side.
Thanks!!! Yes I thought that was a cool feature. I used it as well for some 4x4 posts the other day because they didn't fit into the M1 unit. It's really a versatile little jig, definitely something worth having in your shop! Thanks for checking out the video!
Love this video! So much great info. Thanks for sharing your honest thoughts on our jig and being a part of the #MasscaTeam đ
Thanks so much!! It really is awesome!! đȘđ»

Bro, i was looking at the jig like an alien based on the instructions it came with, thanks for clarifying!
đœ Glad I could help out!! Thanks for watching! đž
That's a pretty cool jig right there đ I'll have to get me one of those
Yeah man!! I always forget to show it some love - so wanted to make a video on it. Thanks for always supporting the channel!! đȘđ»
Great Video David. Thank you! -doc
Thank you for the support!
How come the measurements on the left and right sides of the jig are off by 1/4in? I bought the same jig and noticed that its off.
Nvm you replied to many other of the same commentđ€Ł thanks
I have a Kreg 320 Pocket Hole Jig which works just fine but, if I were going to purchase a Pocket Hole Jig now, I would seriously consider the Massca.
Legend thanks for explaining so well have now subscribed
Thanks so much for the sub!! Much appreciated and glad you enjoyed the video! Happy New Year!
Nice. I just got one and there are no instructions with it. This was very helpful!
Thanks Charles! Much appreciated!! Glad the video was able to help you out - Massca has some great tools, definitely a good purchase in my opinion.
Good video mate

Great video! Better than the manufacturerâs video
Good video
Thank you!
I do not understand if use the right side or left side to calculate the think of the wood, I am confused because at the beginning you used the left side at 1 œ and then for Ÿ you used the right side of the tool? So
One side is for inside corner and the other for outside edge - atleast thatâs how I use it with no issues. That was my mistake in the video. Thanks for reaching out!
That was helpful, I'd love to also see you screw in a screw
Not sure if it matters but the instructions show that you have to use the dimension markings on the other side of the jig when using it with the guide down. The dimension on the other side is off. Thats what got me here. I was confused by the instructions and began to search
Hmm, wasn't aware! Been using it the way I did in the video, been doing great so far for me - Will look into it though for sure!
@@TheToughGuysTV It didnt seem to matter for the 2x I used like you did bit maybe on the thinner stuff. The difference seems to be the thickness of the guide but the instructions show the guide in place, just flipped, on both sides. I found another video by massca and when the lady installs it and they zoom in the arrow is clearly not on the dimension. Confused me even more. Luckily im uaing it for a gate and its all thicker material.
Thanks man, boy was I using my Mulwark jig wrong lol I massacred a 2x4 messing around.
Thatâs apart of the process man! Iâve messed up plenty of times, glad the video helped you out!!
How do you measure the bit when joining two different size woods?
Youâre going to set the drill bit depth based on the wood piece youâre drilling into. Youâd select your fastener based on the thickness of the board youâre attaching to. Atleast thatâs how I do it if the boards are different sizes.
Excellent stuff! I'm a beginner. Would you still recommend this one? If not, what is your recommendation?
Itâs a solid jig and easy to use to get started. If you have the extra money, the M1 or M2 is also a great setup (and pretty easy to use). Iâve got videos on them as well if that helps! Good luck! đđ»
Thanks for the input. @@TheToughGuysTV
Should the pocket holes be going all the way through to the outside edge of the piece of wood? Iâm asking because they donât when you drill them here.
The drilled hole should only be on one side of wood, not all the way through, to create the âpocketâ for the fastener to sit inside of, unseen from the outside.
Thanks!
awesome video. i got this jig and screw up in using it, search for help and find yours. its really great. what did you show that you get abjust the jig by measuring the thickness of the material. I saw it in amazon video. But thanks a lot guys. Best regards for channel. I subscribed!
So happy to hear it!! And thanks for the kind words! I appreciate your support truly! đđ»
@@TheToughGuysTV you deserved. God bless you and your channel. Be successful
I noticed something that i donât understand on the black pice of the jig. If Iâm working with a 3/4 inch piece of wood, it lines up on one side but the other side it reads different. Can you explain? Thank you
Depending on which side you are reading it from, one is for when you've got the jig positioned in an 'inside corner' and the other way is when you hook it onto an 'outside edge'. Hopefully that makes sense!
1:38 you need to make sure you are using the correct side of the jig for the measurement. In this case, you should be looking at the other side, where the arrow on the gray end piece is.
both sides have arrows on the gray end piece ?
@@srjr2531 I see a dovetail groove on one end of the little gray end cap piece, and an arrow on the other end.
What length of screws when using 3/4" materials Thanks!
1 1/4" course screw
I just bought one. However, the scale on the both sides don't match. Is it suppose to be like that or I received the faulty one?
I watched this video again I can see your don't match either at 2:07. The left side scale at 1 1/2 and the right side is between 2 1/2 and 1 1/2 like mine.
I believe one side is for inside corners and the other is for when you can latch the end piece onto the end of a board. Check the instructions as well - I could be wrong about that. Also if youâre on Instagram, Massca is very active on there - donât hesitate to reach out to them! đđ» instagram.com/masscawoodworking?igshid=1s12kx4tyc6xv
Thanks for checking out the video too!
@@TheToughGuysTV Thanks for replying. I guess you're right. I can see the mark on the latch. I don't have Instagram account. I guess it doesn't matter if using on 2x4
My side measurements are different. If I put it at .75 in, the other side is between half of .75 in and .5 in. Why?
One is for placing the jig into an inside corner, the other is for an outside corner (That's my understanding of it) Thanks for checking out the video!
Measurements on each side is not same????
One is for an inside corner and the other is for an outside edge.
A Kreg jig ripoff, hope its at least half the cost of a real one.
To each their own, Iâll keep enjoying what I use thatâs for sure. âđ»
