Tithing was instituted by God, in the Old Testament, to support the priesthood, as they did not receive the same inheritance as the other tribes. Tithing is only mentioned a couple of times in the New Testament, by Jesus when he was speaking to the Pharisees, and by the writer of Hebrews, who was also speaking to Jews. The Apostle Paul, and none of the other New Testament writers mention tithing. Instead, we are told to be cheerful givers. Is it okay to tithe? Yes, but we need to remember that this is not a commandment.

I've seen too many cases where people feel Satan is attacking them and its simply a matter of bills not being paid. They made a promise to pay, so pay your bills. As you said, God doesn't need my money. And Give as you are able to from a love of Christ.

Anyone who teaches tithing as a new covenant practice is lying. Intentionally or not. God doesn’t give protection for doing it, nor curse and destruction for NOT doing it. God isn’t a mafia don. Tithing was ever only for Israel, no one else. And it’s not even for Israel anymore. End of story. Give money if you want, it’s up to you. This twist has happened so much that anywhere the Bible mentions to “give”, people automatically assume it means money. It doesn’t.

As tithing in the Bible was only food and it was intended for the levitical priesthood because the tribe of Levi did not get land like the other tribes. They always had money in the Bible and God never wanted them using money to tithe. If they tried to use money instead of food , they had to pay 20percent above the value. This is called redeeming. the tithe. This is found in leviticus 26 and 27.

And lastly I would say whatever someone would purpose to do for as with giving, don't make a vow to God and break it like the husband and wife couple in Acts 5.

We are no longer under law if so i would be guilty of everything else. If you decided to give tithe it's your personal choice don't mandate others to do so. Some ministries will not allow you to take part in ministry without commitment to tithing, just ridiculous how God's people have been duped for years. 7:45 Agree they give so they can get a tax deduction. That’s not right at the same token it’s helpful for those who may be financially struggling. Should just save it and freely. Be a joyful giver. If your heart is not true in giving then you are not truly giving joyfully. Because it hurts for you to give. It’s a coercive tactic. God wants us to be wise with our money and Allen Parr and Pastor Alan Nolan taught on this not long ago go.
And T.D Jake’s came to speak at my home local church at FBCG and ask to tithe the number 3,6,5. Example $365, 36.50, 3.65 asking a specific amount I thought was wrong.

Bible, where your treasure is so is your heart. If you are giving to get, wrong motive, but God will honor that. My understanding is if you included offerings in the old testament, it was close to 33 per cent.

Obeying that old law on tithing can help deliver that fear of giving out of you... It's good to have a strong foundation on the old laws... But the problem becomes when you are manipulated into giving or else you'll lose your blessings or won't get any blessings. Im kind of torn by this way of thinking because I've been giving almost 17 years under this way of if I don't give im cursed with a curse.... Now, I might even give more because I don't feel like God is going to hurt me if I don't give the 10%... Let me tell you, it's people who give the tithes and go cheat on their spouse afterwards totally voiding out the tithes that you gave I feel like... But anyway I'm not knocking paying 10% if that's what will keep you accountable... Or setting aside some money to honor God from your check to give to his church or give to the poor to honor HIM!

I am trying to pinpoint why people rely so much on videos like that. I think it's for a few reasons: 1. It's because he has a little bit of charisma. 2. It seems to be an easy step by step guide for blessings. 3. It's something that prosperity preachers said for years.
The problem is, people try it and fail time and time again. It's sad.😢

Sounds reasonable. "Provide a margin for God to fill." Not sure. God can fill/over-fill anything, anywhere any time.
Be very CAREFUL. Slick, very subtle, charming vipers are everywhere. Some versions of the HB are a bit corrupted. We are told to be VIGILANT. [Study. Study again. Then, study some more. When you're done, repeat cycle.]
In the O.T. it was written, (vague, brief recall) I will overfill your barns. Trust me on this. (else where written?):
I will give you wells & vineyards you didn't dig or plant. The N.T. is a different covenant with His folks. Lots of debating as to what laws to keep, what laws aren't necessary. [observe^study^guide].
I pray you find true Wisdom.

    Daniel 3:17-18 ESV
[17] If this be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king. [18] But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up."

Who, reading this right now, knows and believes what God himself tells us about tithing in HEBREWS 7:(5)-((18)) ?
The Isralites and Jews, who God gave that commandment of obligation of that works to, are now under the liberty of our post-cross Jesus' grace according to the inspired gospel of the Apostle Paul.
We Gentiles were never under the tithing Law; we're not now, never was, and never will be.
Paul also says that we are not under the Law, but under grace, tithing is no exception.

Please provide Scripture to prove he is wrong.
Please provide one Scripture that says the New Testament church is required to tithe.
Please provide one Scripture that says tithing is money.
In the OT, tithing was a requirement of the Law in which the Israelites gave 10% of the crops and livestock to support the Levites and the tabernacle/temple. However, no where in the NT is there a command for the church, i.e., the Body of Christ, to tithe. So, quoting 1 Sam 15:22 is completely out of context because no one is being disobedient by not tithing.

The least l.can do is to make sure my home is taken care of before taking care of other things including the church. We need to stop being bamboozled all the time.
    1. The pastor should have a job to pay the rent for the church. If he can't, get a smaller building.
    2. He trusts me to provide for my kids. If l have extra, l give it directly to who needs it.
    3. 😶

The New Testament does not contradict the Old Testament.
Malachi 3:8-10 clearly outlines what God commands through His prophet.
in Matthew 5:17, Jesus says, “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill [or, explain them more fully.]
Because there was such clarity on the tithing issue, Jesus did not have to address it, nor is it discussed elsewhere in the NT.
1 Thessalonians 5:20-21 says this about all the prophets' writings in the Old Testament; "20 Do not despise prophecies. 21 Test all things; hold fast what is good.
Any teacher of Scripture who teaches that the New Testament supplants the Old, is not being accurate. (nicest way of saying it)
Isaiah warns us of these false prophets in Isaiah 8:19-21 "19 And when [false prophets] say to you, “Seek those who are mediums and wizards, who whisper and mutter,” should not a people seek their God? Should they seek the dead on behalf of the living? 20 To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
When a preacher of the Gospel speaks out in direct opposition to the plain Scriptures, there is no light in him, and he is no servant of God.
