There’s a difference in speaking to the person and speaking to an evil spirit operating through a person. You cannot coddle a demonic spirit. You must command it. I agree this could have been handled differently, like why did it take four years of this disruption for the pastor (or anyone else) to deal with it and bring her through deliverance. Maybe she wasn’t willing, I don’t know. But you cannot allow a spirit to run your worship service or interfere with the preaching of the word. Stop worrying about the woman being embarrassed. It’s far better for her to be embarrassed and delivered than stay bound for four more years.

The pastor correctly discerned this was a spirit assigned to disrupt the service. He took authority and silenced it. Well done. He could have taken it a step further and commanded the spirit to come out of her, or someone from the altar ministry could have taken her aside and helped her get free. Woman of god i am a minister my self. Just last week i was asked to pray for a lady, in my church after the the service was finished. While i was praying i felt a hand on my shoulder, it was an elder telling me not to make so much noise. She told to pray quietly, i was very upset , i said you have cut my spirit, she said no i have not. She did this controlling thing Infront of other people , and one lady mention about not coming back to this church. Psalm 1 tells us that we must not stand in the way of sinners. What this elder jas done was not of God because i was praying for healing for this woman. Thank you for bringing this openly to our attention. Make sure you understand scripture in context before using it . Rightly divide the Word of truth, we can't say things and not do our research. Are you saying Paul who's responsible for a large portion of the New Testament just said and did things on his own?

It was a demon spirit that manifested in that woman during worship. He didn’t tell her to hush, he was speaking to the demon & told the demon to hush. He silenced the demon, but failed to cast it out of the woman. She did not get her deliverance.

Secondly, I cant comment either way as I don't know the whole story, it is said that this is a recurring situation for over FOUR years. A few minutes of video isn't enough to make a judgment call on the Pastor's actions in this incident. We have to be very careful when we put stuff out without knowing all sides. Just saying. Selah!

That isn't the same. Jesus told the demons to be quite. She was out of order and he wasn't in church. You can't compare the two.
