If anything he probably has a smidgen of respect for her considering she turned on the jedi so early on

Anakin was already destroying her in combat and Force power when he was still trying to use the light side of the Force. Now that he's fully embraced the dark side, he might very well kill her for taunting him like that.
I don't think she knows its him. Even Ahsoka wasn't sure until it was outright stated.

@@AdeptKing Ahsoka saw only the best in Anakin, despite his flaws, because he was the only one who did not leave her in her darkest hour, who looked out for those close to him to the end. Feelings, emotions and dedication can disrupt your sense of observation and conclusion, until a prove right before your own eyes, because it sounds like an insult to the good memory and image of the person whom you suspect. Someone whose observation skills are not disturbed can conclude Vader is Anakin, like Tarkin did thanks to how Vader fighting techniques had similarities to Anakin's, despite him now wearing an armor.
@@maksymilianziele28 well does barris see Vader fight? If not there’s extremely little that she has to go on to jump to, what would be to anyone in that time, a ridiculous conclusion.
Given how easily she was willing to kill (and let Ahsoka take the blame) in Clone Wars I honestly find it funny she hesitated here 🤣🤣🤣

Honestly I wish they'd had her stay as an inquisitor. Everyone gets a redemption arc and at this point I think there's something interesting when a character doesn't

The Second Sister in Fallen Order, The Ninth Sister in Jedi Survivor, every single Inquisitor we see in Rebels, etc. I honestly do not understand this view that every inquisitor gets a redemption. That aside, it DEFINITELY makes sense for Barriss to not stay an Inquisitor. Even at her worst, she was never an evil person, just misguided.

It makes sense for them to defect. Most, if not all, inquisitors were forced to join the empire against their will.
If you were conscripted to fight in an army you don't even support you'd probably want to get out the first chance you get.

If Vader noticed some random younling npc like Reva joining as an inquisitor, I'm sure he noticed Bariss as well
People say he'd avenge Ahsoka and the fallen clones (Something Anakin would've done) but I get the feeling that Vader would just forget about all that so long as she performs.
Yes, Anakin would never stand by working with Bariss, but the fact that Vader's fine with trying to kill Ahsoka and even let the clones be abused and phased out seems quite consistent if he were to keep Bariss if she ever wanted to stay as inquisitor

@@SardonicJoshExactly. It’s his way of coping with what happened meaning not doing anything to Barriss is in character. He believes he is fully Vader and therefore wouldn’t care about something that happened when he was Anakin.
This is what often happens with people doing bad things with good intentions. Only thing here is that she had the vision to see what she was doing wrong.
Path of Darkness is a grimm and strange 1 in that.
The 1.: A broken soul, filled with that from which she could never free herself, which took her to where she could never return
The 2.: Her ideals twisted, lost her way, stumbled atop 1 she can never return.

Part of me wonders how different would all of this be if Anakin won against Obi Wan. He’d still be Darth Vader just without the suit
He would probably dress like Sidious with an oversized cloak to hide his identity. Having Anakin (a war hero) walking around murdering people would have people asking too many questions

I remembered everyone once rumored that Second Sister or Seventh Sister was Barriss, but this show disclosed that completely. However, they were right to think that she joined the Inquisitor. And I say it was good to know what happened to her.
Love her mask and voice modulator.
It was bound to happen at some point. I remember her fall from grace all too well.
By the way those troopers at begining reminds me of bad batch s1 elite squad troppers
These can the very same Elite Squad Troopers that Clone Force 99 encountered on Bracca and Kamino.
They are purge troopers, purge troopers are clones

shame this lasts all of 1/2 an episode. Honestly this batch of tales had good starts and then just sort of fizzle out...

Barris’s armor is amazing. I love it.
I wonder how Vader felt here. As we know Vader discarded everything about Anakin Skywalker except for Luke and Ahsoka and at times thoughts of Padme like when he found out Palp lied to him about her death. Also we need an animated Darth Vader series that takes place just after he got his suit with him training how to function in it and hunting down the remaining Jedi

I was hoping for a moment between them. First obviously Vader recognising her, and second with Barris feeling something “familiar” in her new master.
I literally just binged watched the entire season and while it wasn’t as good as tales of the Jedi I did enjoy it.
I bet Darth Vader was surprised to see Barriss again since he fought her and exposed her for framing Ahsoka.

And I was waiting for Anakin to wake up in him and he would punch her.

Nah, at this point he was mad cause Ahsoka abandoned him, he partly blames her for what happened to him.

So yeah...... Barriss need to minimize contact with Vader if possible. There is no Jedi Order or laws or morality to hold his rage back this time.

Why would he? Anakin may have killed her, but Vader wouldn’t. Why would he risk potentially compromising his true identity?
Not gonna happen. Vader shows no hesitation in trying to kill Ahsoka himself years later. As far as he's concerned Anakin is dead, and Vader killed him.

@joemclaughlin3385 well true but the books and comics are always getting retconned so judging by on screen material ima say she is the Tenth sister, and the the other 2 Inquisitors seen in the same scene (apart from the fourth sister) I'm Gunna say are first brother (marrok) and sixth brother (masked one who died to ahsoka in a seemingly reenacted scene from her novel)

Ten minutes. She was an inquisitor for ten damn minutes. I bet that she and her friend will even become rebels in the next episodes. Tails of "Empire" Disney said? Uh-huh, sure.

I'm sorry this feels a little forced to me considering how we left off on Barriss' story from clone wars
I mean she planted a bomb
Killed multiple innocent people, even force choked one woman
Framed Ahsoka, one of her closest friends in the Jedi order
Attempted to kill Anakin to cover her tracks
And even when she was caught with Ventress' lightsabers, she says the red color "suits her"
But now at the start of the series she's still light sided and is the only one resisting darkside temptation. Idk i get that she ultimately gives in and joins the inquisitors, and i don't mind that she's resisting but her personality is closer to what it was before the temple bombing arc than it was during. She was already giving in to the darkside by the time the clone wars ended, and having her fall completely could've been an interesting character arc and made the later (spoiler) redemption feel more satisfying
