    Just want to say this video isn't meant to be in chronological order, I put the Tales Of The Empire scenes in the middle as more of a way to show the different animation styles from the different series. Also its just meant to be a video about Grievous massacring Nightsisters.

      If you think about it, it makes sense. Grievous' tactics rely on fear and intimidating your opponent before even engaging, and his dark cape helps to enhance that feeling as it gives him a larger silhouette. At first, he's sent to fight Ventress, who knows him well enough already not to be intimidated by him, making the cape useless in that fight. But after that he is only fighting Nightsisters who never saw him before, and thus are vulnerable to his fear tactics, so he throws his cape on to give him the complete psychological advantage over them.

    Grievous shouting run shows how psychotic and crazed he really is. It's like he's high on murder. Screaming "run" at everyone because he knows he's going to kill them all. It might seem weird him telling them to run, why would he want them to escape, until you realise he's doing it because he knows they can't. It's sadistic and I love it.

      Yeah I also think it's pretty clear that Grievous just continued his slaughter for days after that. Like first of all the obvious thing are later in that same Elsbeth episode where droid ships were still looking for Nightsisters during day time.
      And second of all: we know that that Nightsisters were massacred to the point where they are facing extinction during Rebels, Fallen Order and Ahsoka. And Fallen Order even makes it clear that Grievous was responsible.

    • @ultramagnus1859
      @ultramagnus1859 Před měsícem +20

      It's also worth noting that Grievous appears to have all four arms even if he only used three, more evidence this was after Talzin and Daka. Plus, he was kinda on the clock to kill those two, I don't think even he would just stop to toy around with some cornered group of Sisters if Dooku was still dying.

      Shows just how ridiculously hard Grievous can hit. Those blades seem to be the same type of weapon that Talzin uses, but we've never seen her sword's enchantment degrade over the course of the fight like that. Maybe Talzin's blade is just better, but until proven otherwise, I'd like to think of this as one more testament to Grievous' strength.

    • @andrewli6606
      @andrewli6606 Před měsícem +4

    • @darthbronchitis3802
      @darthbronchitis3802 Před měsícem +1

      @@andrewli6606 Sure we have. Some Jedi have managed to pierce beskar-alloy before, and the Praetorian Guards had somewhat resistant armor that was able to take lighter hits from the lightsabers, but Rey and Kylo's heavier blows went right through. Hell, Grievous himself has already done this before, cutting an electrostaff when literally no one else has ever managed to do that. Keep in mind, lightsaber blades have two components; the plasma, and the energy field that contains it. That field gives it some properties of a physical blade, which is why they are able to clash with things. Swinging harder wouldn't increase the heat, so it must be increasing the cutting power.

      Hopefully, Grievous hasn't gotten much justice in the current canon, and I think he deserves a couple of stories to complement him, with 3 animated shorts showing his tragic past that led to hatred towards the Republic and the Jedis, then showing his transformation into a machine and the first Jedi he killed, and then possibly showing us the attack on Coruscant with the kidnapping of the "chancellor" as he did in Tartakovsky's Clone Wars or perhaps Grievous having a vision of the force like he had in a comic predicting his path of perdition, that would be great

    Despite the best efforts of General Grievous, he didn't manage to slaughter ALL of the Nightsisters. So far, I know of two survivors. One of them joined the Empire. The other remained on Dathomir. Morgan was the survivor who joined the Empire and was the architect of the TIE Defender that would've helped the Empire turn the tide against the Rebellion. But between Palpatine's desire for a superweapon(the Death Star) and Lothal's Governor Price playing into the rebel's hands, things went downhill. Merrin was the survivor who remained on Dathomir for five years until she met Cal Kestis. She got duped by Taron Malicos, who'd fallen to the Dark Side after Order 66 and prolonged exposure to Dathomir's Dark Side energy. Cal showed her the error of her ways and managed to convince her to help with the quest for the Holocron.

  • @jonnystaydizzy
    @jonnystaydizzy Před 16 dny

    Grevious went back to Dathomir after Son of Dathomir comic featuring Maul. Maul captured Dooku and Grevious with the help of his Crimson Dawn Mandalorians and lured Palpatine to Dathomir. He and the night brothers were together on Dathomir, mother Talzin was resurrected through Dooku and then killed by Grevious, Palpatine and Dooku (force lighting).
    So Grevious probably went back after that or was still there when this happened.

    Grievous was an amazing fighter. I would say saber wise he was one of the best duelist at the time. Just lost a lot cause he fought people who were much stronger or just plainly had plot armor. people forget but Grievous has killed more jedi than anyone in that time. Probably even up there with Vader given there were more jedi to hunt during the clone wars.

    Grevious, as instructed by Dooku, rarely fights fair against Force-users since the Force gives them such a massive advantage. Ventress, if focusing on the Force, can easily read his movements and counter attack (Obi-Wan did the same.)
    Fear and intimidation are his key weapons, and both are bolstered by his sadistic nature. He truly revels in the suffering and despair he causes, and here we can see him unfettered by "Age-ratings" once more.

    Why the fuck it is so damm hard for Disney to contain persistant continuity ?!?
    Grievous doesn't wear a Cape at the beginning of the battle. Three minutes later has cape only then to get rid of it again to sluaghter the oldest Nightsister mother.
    Why ? I know it's a small, insignificant detail but its contridicting to former solid established lore. And that sucks....

    • @Crimson_King611
      @Crimson_King611 Před 21 dnem +2

      No continuity is broken though? The entirety of the main assault, Grievous wears no cape and loses one right arm, and that’s true to the end when he eliminates Old Daka. Morgan’s pov clearly takes place after the main assault; she and the rest are stragglers being picked off as they flee deeper into the woods. Grievous at this point has his cape now and his missing right arm, and seeing as this is a later point in the massacre, it’s easy to presume he returned to base to get his arm replaced and grab his cape before heading back out.
      Some of your confusion might be rooted in the fact that this video is not in exact chronological order.
