Old Barriss vs Fourth Sister | Star Wars Tales of the Empire | Episode 6 | Disney+ - Kråtké a kreslené filmy
Nice parallel to Barrissâs training with the Grand Inquisitor.
Also reminds me of Ahsokaâs fight with the Inquisitor in the last episode of Tales of the Jedi, especially when Barriss easily turns off her lightsaber.
I don't know why but I love Barriss' redemption. She doesn't learn the truth, she doesn't solve the grand conspiracy...she simply learns to accept herself and who she is and find strength in that.
I love when Inquisitors face a real Jedi like Ahsoka or Cal Kestis and it shows just how weak they really are.
Iâd imagine none of the Inquisitors are 100% content with the work of hunting the Jedi, most joined by force, would def play a factor in their performance. Just as post-JS Cal admitted he wouldnât have been able to beat 2nd Sister were she not conflicted in the end, and he also lost to 5th Brother in Battle Scars (who was not conflicted). Again with 4th Sister vs Barriss, in the end, the conflict returned both to the light.
I mean keep in mind that many of Inquisitors are padawans or younglings forced to be Inquisitors. So while they did grow stronger thanks to the dark side, they are still relatively weak against experienced jedi's
cause they only trained how to fight, they don't really have proper force training, especially not on the dark side
The inquisitors are just sith stormtroopers
The Emperor never intended for the Inquisitors to be strong. They were just a divide and conquer strategy.
I honestly like what they did with barriss, a fallen Jedi forced to become an inquisitor but came back to the light after seeing the cruelty of the empire. Instead of dying by Darth Vader or finding Ahsoka, barriss the healer reaches out to Lyn Rakish. We didnât see much of her, but I do like seeing more of how the fourth sister is with her fear and anger. Itâs just sad yet hopeful for both of them :â(
So, Barriss is a hypocrite unless she has remorse for turning against Ashoka.
Iâm sure she has remorse for all of it, and sheâs aware she canât undo the damage sheâs done, so all she can do is help those in need at her time from the Jedi Lyn attacked to the infant Lyn is after
Tbh as an ahsoka/anikan fan bariss is irredeemable to me, betrayal is considered one of the worst transgressions even for no spiritual non religious people. Bariss literally setting up ahsoka, and contributing to animals fall is still her worst crime to date. Her being forced into the empire was her punishment, which she escaped by turning "back to the light"
Now this is great writing when two people from the same fandom can have different but accurate interpretations of the same series of events.
â@@ifyourmarriedyourasimpanda7440 So let me get this straight to you Anakin is redeemable but not bariss? " Betrayal this and that " right because Anakin didn't and you can't say he hasn't done far worse than bariss. Everyone is redeemable if they choose it. However your right on one thing and that is punishment will be there.
She should had been off'ed by Vader, it was the natural way for him to finish what he started years ago. Throw bit of force choke for kudos point.
Why does fourth sister look like she hasnât aged a day đ
Maybe her species age slower.
Species age differently (IG-11)
The dark side of the force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be... unnatural
It's probably because Barris had to live with the guilt of everything she has done for years, this caused her to age faster.
It may be because sheâs always in the cold now, it makes her wrinkles more prominent
She goes from killing to giving away her life force and turning someone back to the light.
Epic stuff.
I really wish we had an extra episode where we saw Barriss reunite with Ahsoka and have the two give closure to one another.
I wonder if they're saving that for Ahsoka Season 2, similar to how Cad Bane returning in The Bad Batch Season 1 happened shortly before his live-action appearance in Book of Boba.
@@SarcyBoi41 star wars has been redeeming alot of characters lately i wonder why cuz bariss does not deserve redemption imo aftr hat she did to ahsoka
@@nicholasbloom1 Nah, of all the characters that deserve redemption, Barriss is at the top of the list. She was never evil.
â@nicholasbloom1 Anakin got redemption, and he did far worse, then what barriss had done.
@@SarcyBoi41 Tbh, I wouldâve preferred if the third episode of Barrissâ arc, began with her crossing paths with Ahsoka. From there, the two have a long conversation, with Ahsoka offering Barriss to stay for a bit. The latter however refuses the offer, believing she doesnât deserve it and goes into exile, but not before being given a ship and a set of coordinates if she changes her mind
Bariss kinda humiliated the 4th Sister here. With all the dodgeing.
Are you telling me Luke skywalker pulled a baris offee to defeat his nephew with anger management and daddy issues
Fr and it looked so clean and elegant, like Dooku used to do. Thought of him immediately from the moment she first folded her arms behind her back
Honestly what else is new about the inquisitors? Only the 2nd sister and to an extent Grand Inquisitor ever felt threatening
She held up to Anakin in his prime for a few minutes, this is nothing by comparison
Reminds me of Ahsoka in the last episode of Tales of the Jedi against the Inquisitor
Her outfit at the begining looks somewhat like the robe you get for the light side ending in star wars the force unleashed
I thought that was Vader in the distance for a bit there but then I realized that this was probably beneath him in hindsight and if he was there, then the parents and kid would have definitely not gotten away.
Unless they were being lead out by Obi Wan, it wouldâve been GG.
It could be possible that this scene could takes place after Obi-Wan Kenobi series.
@@DigiPen92 It definitely takes place after the Obi-Wan series--not only does Barriss appear significantly older than a mere 9 years after Order 66, but also the ending seemed to portray that she brought the 4th Sister back to the light (so it would make no sense that, after this, the 4th Sister would have simply gone back to the Empire in Obi-Wan).
I like that Barriss monologue in the Clone Wars centered around her belief that the Jedi Order fell to darkness and relied on violence to maintain control, and now we see that she spends her final days living up to the philosophy she preached the Jedi should have followed. She left violence behind and spent her final days as a healer; it's a nice fitting end for her
She became what the jedi should have been
shes not ended
Ironicly Barris got to live her life as a true jedi. Isolated and with the force. No council or republic telling her what to do.
Sheâs not old. Sheâs used up from Force-healing people. đ€Šââïž
I was thinking the same thing. Healing someone with the Force comes at the expense of the wielderâs vitality
Right on the money; people just can't get visual clues anymore lmao.
@@darylsdesigns6679 I'd imagine guilt would have driven her to use it a bunch and with no regard for her own health.
Giving oneâs life for the sake of others is the Jedi way
I was very much reminded of how Obi Wan looked when we first saw him in ANH. It had only been 19 years since the Empire rose from the ashes of the Galactic Republic, and yet Obi Wan Kenobi, one of the greatest of the Jedi, had somehow aged from a fit and healthy man in his prime into a wizened elder. If Obi Wan aged so quickly in the 19 years the Empire had stood, why couldn't Barris also age more quickly than is normal?
Even their respective fights give me similar vibes. As soon as Maul realized that Obi Wan was protecting someone on Tattooine and taunted him with that information, Obi Wan pulled out his lightsaber, and then taunted Maul by adopting the same lightsaber form that Qui Gon Jinn used, allowing Obi Wan to end the fight, and Maul, in three moves.
Barris' method here was much more pacifist, but she used her opponent's anger to her advantage and was able to dodge the Fourth Sister's lightsaber with ease, keeping her arms behind her back and even taunting her by pointing out how her anger makes her attacks very easy to predict.
I really hope we get to see Barris appear in Ahsoka. Her story doesn't seem to be over yet.
âIt seems fear is not your ally, but your masterâ goosebumps!!!!
I'm surprised that Barris is still alive after the events of Kenobi.
She isnât really that much of a threat nor anything of importance, so it honestly makes sense that no one went after or tried to hunt her down, I mean yoda went ghost for awhile after the events of order 66, and even he wasnât of great importance despite being the grand master of the Jedi Order
It's kinda crazy that she looks so much older. The time jump couldn't have been that much since the Inquisitors are obviously still active. Also Vernestra Rwoh (another Mirialan) is over 100 years old in The Acolyte and looks about 40.
is the cold
Fr girl aged like fine milk
Probably the result of using Force Healing way more and often than it would be safe to do so, perhaps out of guilt.
@@el_TAM_YT That's actually a very sensible inference to make. I like that explanation and must admit, completely didn't occur to me.
The exile was hard on her. Same as Kenobi, who also aged like milk
When they end like that i was like " F YOU!" cause they leave us hanging wondering if Barriss ever been alive or dead like c'mon!! đ
At least her death was better then how her master end up.
Her fate left unclosed just like 10 yrs ago
@@Gufupandi09th13 maybe she will show up in ahsoka series, if she died then how did they both came out of that maze? inquistor isn't capable of navigating so that leaves only barris and for that she has to be alive
@@anirudhreddy7671 true and to show us that she kill clone troopers during order 66 just to save the Jedi temple from burning
â@@anirudhreddy7671 maybe the other Inquisitors captured her
â@@anirudhreddy7671Also Barris trained as a healer for years, sooo Force healing??
at first, I didn't recognize the 4th Sister until I remembered she was in the Obi-Wan Kenobi show. I guess she first appeared in that show. And this episode took place sometime after the events of Obi-Wan Kenobi show.
-Edit: In the canon Star Wars comics, a Rebel commander named Lina Graf somehow got ahold of the 4th Sister's Inquisitor armor, wore it pretending to be her to save a fellow Rebel from the Fortress Vader(while Darth Vader himself was busy with some other matters). The comics didn't explain how Lina got the armor, but after this episode, we can now assume Lyn abandoned her Inquisitor ways and never returned to the Empire. And Lina probably found & used the armor that no longer had an owner and used it to her advantage.
Every time they show up the inquisitors somehow feel even lamer oh my gosh!
So from what I can tell this could be 10 years or just before a new hope or even before the end of return of the Jedi. The Forth sister probably ages gracefully for her species but as for Bariss, sheâs a healer and gives her life force to others, causing her to age much faster
for this episode I really wish that Jedi they were hunting was luminara.....barriss killing luminara should've been the thing to make her realize what she was doing. luminara could've fought to change bariss like bariss does to the fourth sister at the end.....could've mirrored bariss being stabbed perfectly unless luminara does get captured.overall a reference should've been there
Maybe all of that is being saved for an Animated series about The Hidden Path, and Barriss Offee's connection with it?
Rebels already showed that Luminara was captured and killed not long after Order 66.
I hope Barriss survived.
OjalĂĄ no digno final, ya sabemos quien asesinĂł a la cuarta asĂ que Barris se cerrĂł al fin su arco, en la secuelas la elegida rey nomĂĄs debe sobrevivir
Unfortunately..
Ashoka fate was similar in Rebels when she walked into a cave after losing to Vader.... Bariss was merely carried out when... she'll live
me too
@@Westwoodchronicimo it was more like a tie
I might be mistaken but the one thing I saw about the fourth sister was at the start of the clip she said she was after the child. I felt like she was willing to ignore Barris and let her go {Correct me if u think im mistaken}
Except she says âafter the child, Iâm coming back for youâ.
@@jackreynolds2144I know that but that was after when she intervened I think.
â@jackreynolds2144 that was after Barriss got in the way
It's not that she was willing to let Barris go, but she definitely wasn't there looking for Barris. Her mission was just to collect the child. Finding Barris was just a lucky, or unlucky, coincidence.
Impressive, the Grand Inquisitor thought Barriss something. That dodge was flawless.
Can someone please tell the name of the score by Kevin kiner when these episodes end. I canât find the name
She doing the JabbaÂŽs no hands style
When she talked about "To see an old friend", was she referring to Ahsoka?
Lyn Rakish or the Fourth Sister was my favorite charcater in SW:ToE
barriss walking and talking like a master.... bruh what
Years as a healer really grew her up
This kinda reminds me of Luke vs Ben in TLJ where in both cases the villain is confronted by a ghost of their past as theyâre in the middle of pursuing a group of rebels. Both Darksiders try to destroy their past but Luke and Barrious effortlessly evade them as theyâre blinded by the rage which makes them predictable. In both cases Luke and Barrious are merely buying time for the rebels to escape from a cave which they succeed in without harming anyone.
I wish all 6 episodes was just about these two from Order 66 to what I'm going to assume happens some time around Rebels
Iâm happy Barriss got a chance to redeem herself. She was a favorite but I was sad when she betrayed Ahsoka. I just feel like she struggled with right and wrong, but not that she would completely give in to the dark side. If that makes any sense đ
Part of me wonders if they used motion capture here. Bariss moves to fluidly from 1:38 to 1:45.
Barriss didnt die Fourth sister carried her out and barriss healed herself.
Why does she look old? Sheâs not even 30 and Miliarians live for centuries.
Yeah ikr, I thought the episode was post-ROTJ when I saw how old she was. I was expecting Kylo Ren or something, not the 4th Sister. The time jump couldnât have been more than like 15 years
How you know that her species live for centuries
Donât you think that joining the dark side of the force. one of the side effects is premature aging.
Maybe itâs not her aging but her simply being in exile in such harsh conditions.
@@XenoRaptor-98765 She didnât really join the dark side lol. Physical degradation only occurs after years and years of heavy use of the dark side, not just half turning dark for like a year.
Disney REALLY enjoy that âstopping a lightsaber with the Forceâ thing
I know the series isn't very well received, but we can all agree Barriss became far better of a Jedi than her Master ever was.
It wasn't? I mean I haven't gone down the review rabbit hole, but I've mostly heard positive things
No
yea i agree
luminara sucks
Barriss Offee might use force healing or resurrected by Morganâs magic like Morrok
It's kinda ironic that we all thought we would finally get all the questions answered about Bariss and her ultimate fate... only after all this we're kinda back where we started: we still don't know if Barris is alive or dead.
There are alternatives to fighting
I think the reason Harris has grown so old is sheâs been using force healing to heal others but each time it drains her own life force hence why she aged faster
I like that even the creators of the clone wars like shows are nodding to the fact that a saber jab to the gut is barely considered a threat anymore. Sheâll walk that off and weâll see her again. đ
I mean we must remember maul was cut into two and miraculously survived, đ the shenanigans of individuals surviving grievous wounds has been around for a while in the franchise
So I guess we can finally cross out the inquisitor sister in rebels as bariss
you know what's awesome, tale of jedi it ended with ashoka. tales of the empire ended with barris, dave feloni is foreshadowing somthing hehe
Annnnd it all sucks!
@@NoahHunterGamble boooooomer
Did Barrieâs not become 1st sister?
I hate that active agents can be stopped by people that haven't fought in decades just because of their name.
It's ironic that Vader did not react to Barriss.
I like how Barris looks like she aged 40 years, but only 15-20 years passed
Probably from the stress.
Fear is her ally? If they are trained a bit by Vader, then I thought fear is what leads to anger and power but to no longer give into fear to control it as it will mess with focus. Did she mean Fear is her ally to use vs others?
Let me guess the future: Tales Of The Rebellion? Tales Of The Bounty Hunters? And why not Tales Of The Survivors where we find lots of survivors of Order 66 or left for dead?
I wouldnât call this Old Barriss - unless they mean the old Barriss who was a Jedi - given that sheâs probably late thirties here. Older, maybe
Palpatine: With every jedi killed, you get the training points. Spread them among the inquisitors wisely to improve their abilities.
Vader: Spends all points for Starkiller

I honestly thought Bariss would be fighting Vader and die
Somehow, Barriss got old quick.
Soon some people will start making ship of barriss and fourth sister like they make ahsoka and barriss đđ
Lyn x Barriss đđœđđœ
I wished Bariss offee didnât just die like that I wished she was alive she could have convinced the fourth sister to retaliate and be in the fallen order and Jedi survivor game, she could have helped cere defeat darth vader.

Lyn in 2BBy-0 BBy somehow looks exactly as she did ln 8BBy
Different species age differently.
Barris's species live for centuries so she shouldnt have physically aged this much in such a short time. But one possible explanation is that she is a healer. That means she has to use her own vitality to heal others. We don't know for sure, but it could be physically aging her everytime she heals someone.
So.. Barriss wasnât executed?
Years haven't been kind to barriss, i guess she did some smoking
Finn?
lol no
her name is Lynn
Barriss lookin like Elliot Page
Calling it now.... Ashoka and Bariss will create a new jedi order with Ezra, Sabine, that chick that stabbed Sabine and that Jedi droid in that galaxy where Thrawn was exiled to.
unlikely, but a nice concept
That would mean Ezra, along with the others, would have to go back to the other galaxy again. That seems unlikely imo
Why does everyone say old barriss she's not old isn't she supposed to be like in her 30s or 40s
Most of the time we see her sheâs a teen so it makes it distinct
Barris is barely in her 30s, if that? how does she look so old? The elements? Stress?
She was a healer during 10 years. Using Force-healing takes a toll, apparently.

Yes. Because more girlbosses is absolutely what Star Wars is in sore need of.
No I NEED HER AND ASHOKA BACK TOGETHER
How's Barris old she should be 40
Bro the Empire needs better Inquisitors. They look like chumps against Jedi and former Sith lmao
If they were too much better that could risk them becoming full on sith
I'd say the most threatening and competent Inquisitor was probably the Second Sister. But honestly, if they got actually powerful Inquisitors, they'd end up becoming threats. And the Sith don't like competition.
@@Spiralpaladin thatâs true

If youâre wondering why she looks so old when the fourth sister doesnât, they mentioned that Barriss was a healer. Force healing drains the userâs life force, so frequent use of it would likely cause rapid aging.

Barriss deserves death for what she did back in the clone wars but hey sheâs been brought back now so it is what it is đđđŸ
When she betrayed the Jedi, she did so out of the conviction that the Jedi only followed the Senate and were not doing justice to their role as peacekeepers. From her point of view, her actions were justified because she saw that the Jedi Council was not doing justice to its task.

Sympathy for a terrorist? Is that really worth 3 short episodes?
So Anakin butchering younglings and countless others when he rise as Darth Vader gets a pass but not Bariss that found her way back to the Light? Hahahaha
This should have happened in Rebels and it should have been Ahsoka instead of 4th sister. Itâs what we really wanted and for some reason they didnât think to do it
