Every body is different and every body fluctuates. There is no right diet for everyone across the board. The carnivore diet can be healing for certain conditions, but I understand that the benefits decrease with time and that a high vegetable diet, while slower in its effects, ultimately wins the race because it’s more sustainable and healthy over the long term. But the carnivore diet is great for addressing some things in the short term (like a year or so). I’m intrigued by your allergic reaction to ALL vegetables. I would like to learn more. My understanding is that only certain vegetables, like tomatoes, can cause histamines. I wonder if you could eventually overcome the condition by adhering to a protocol that slowly allows your immune system to calm its reaction to things. I just heard the other day that Reishi mushrooms helps immune systems that are both under active and overactive restore to a happy middle ground.

I think you have to do what is best for you. That you shouldn't eat "only" this, only that or a little bit of everything just because someone once said this is the only way to be healthy. If your health is good, it means that you' re fine and you keep doing what you do.

Very interesting. I'm a T2 diabetic and I always feel my best when I'm staying active, getting sun, and eating lots of veggies. I mean I will eat a 12oz bowl of steamed broccoli and cauliflower daily or have a salad for breakfast. Not out of "dieting" but sometimes my body genuinely craves the veggies. On the other side, I will have times where I eat terribly often out of stress. Its pretty cyclical for me as a woman, but I do tend to eat the same veggies. The only histamine reaction I get is mildly out of oats, especially when I make overnight oats.
When you grow up poor, I think your body gets used to eating what you can afford and sometimes that looks like the same stuff in some households. In mine, there was definitely some variety based on sales. New salad mix on clearance cuz its expiring tomorrow? Mom nabbed it for us. Different cut of meat that is on sale? Mom grabbed it and made something out of it, a soup or just prepped with veggies. I try to stay open that way too like she was, though now with her age she definitely settles with a routine.

So in other words, I think we can have a microbiome that specializes at a more concentrated diet which I believe that to be Carnivore...and if you want to mix in a few vegetables from time to time then that's probably okay, not necessary but probably will be fine. "Ancestral diets," to the limited extent they can be known, don't matter except for generating hypotheses. Those hypotheses then have to be tested, either by mechanistic, observational, or, most importantly, interventional studies. The vast majority of the studies point to a largely plant diet having the best health outcomes, which is what matters. There's certainly room for some animal foods, especially fish, if you choose. That said, there's individual variation. Some people do have trouble with plants. There's a recent study by Christopher Gardner which showed that this can often be overcome by eating fermented food to repair the microbiome.

You can tell he knows it in the way he stumbles over the words about this product. Even Thomas knows this stuff is filled with unhealthy junk and that he's out of integrity promoting it - his body language and speech pattern on this promo says it all. I just find it ironic to include poison in a video about "Just enough Poison". People pay attention to what he says, IT MATTERS. Saying "dude's gotta make a living" doesn't excuse it. So most of what europeans descent humans eat has no evolutionary basis.

It's a difficult subject to understand. We've all been taught to eat vegetables daily for optimal health. Unfortunately, I don't have the answers but something's changed for a large majority of the world's population.
Either the vegetables have been tampered with through GMO or the soils aren't what they used to be. Idk🤷 but there it is, there are many people who can't tolerate too many or any fruit and vegetables. Of course there's that GMO labelling again, most of the fruits have been made to be so sweet, you may as well have a handful of sweets 👍🏼

Tune out all the diet talks and do what works for you. I eat meat and feel sick after that. Plant based and green leafy veggies work for me. I was taught even in grade school to eat plenty of green leafy vegetables. If they are bitter, I can easily sweeten them with plantains. I feel so much better with a mainly plant based diet. My great grandmother who died at 99 years of age lived on veggies only. Carnivore is the latest fad diet. I tune out all those fad diets and do what works for me. Mainly plant based, 103 lbs, 20.1 BMI, 62 years old and post-menopausal, still gets called "Young Lady." The irony is that after my son took me out for omakase dinner, the ladies in the restaurant referred to him as the one seated close to the wall with his "girlfriend." Oy gevalt. They couldn't tell that he was with his mother. Just do what works for you.
