The creation of Single Malt 1 began with a dream that culminated in an eloquent blend of strength and beauty. This 60 foot yacht boasts an Independent Shipwrights’ grand hull design that has long been demanded by the commercial fishing fleets operating on the West Coast of Canada. Working side-by-side with builders at Independent Shipwrights, the current owner implemented modifications to the hull that were designed to improve stability, increase fuel efficiency and augment interior space.
This desire to create a top-of-the-line long range trawler also included equipping the interior with the best of everything: exotic hard and soft woods that display the highest level of craftsmanship; a commercial grade galley; a salon fit for a baby-grand piano; heated tiles and towel bars that is amazing on the chilly mornings; 3 AC units installed but never used, a loaded pilot house; and a stand up properly laid-out engine room that has to be seen to be believed.

This guy is just the superhero of presenters. I totally love his presentation skill, he could sell my used underpants to myself and I would not notice it! And the boat is fantastic too.
Thank you for your kind words :-)
@@calibreyachtsales I would buy ANY yacht he shows ;) Always a good job, sometimes realy nice yachts...
And look at these marvelous skidmarks. Such wonderful marks hand picked. Look at the stretched waist band. So nicely stretched and unable to hold up your tighty whities. And those pee stains on the marble pouch is so nice. I really like that.
You're a great salesmen.
This is a GENTLEMANS SHIP and a true one off work of art and what a fellow to introduce this lady to the world just wow is all I can say .
Actually he sounds like he is selling a house not a yacht. Loves to say his adjectives twice in a row. I think he is ridiculous. I love the boat.
I never tire of this guy and his presentation, the best of 'old school'!
I love this gentleman, he pointed out everything liked he just found a toy, checked it out and asked, isn't nice?? Or isn't it wonderful! I love it!
This man loves his work, a genuine appreciation for the product makes selling a real pleasure.....and a pleasure to witness.
He could sell the Pope a box of condoms.
@@wadetitcombe9971: No need. Altar boys don't get pregnant.
I think that he likes solid wood probably cherry.
I really like the subtle hints of wood integrated in the interior.
Hahaha
Try making it..............
My one concern is the heavy use of rain forest trees from the Amazon in the manufacturing of these high end boats. I believe alternative wood that has been "farmed" properly will look just as nice. Just like a traditional farm, the trees are then replaced. Clearcutting the rain forests has major negative impacts on the air we breath and the habitat of threatened wildlife. Much of it is logged illegally or under the noses of corrupt officials getting kickbacks from lumber interests, while waiting in the wings are cattle ranchers and miners ready to pounce on the barren land and therefore the rainforest is gone forever. Otherwise, Richard again proved he is at the top of the game in presenting boats for sale.
Whereas I like the subtle hints of interior integrated in the wood.
Likes the eco friendly fuel spill tray...on a vessel that gets 1 mile per gallon of fuel, is loaded with wood from South American rainforests, and where 15,000 man hours were spent on the interior alone.😆😃 This guy has a great sense of humor!
I'm generally impressed that one can move a floating condo around at even 1 mpg. But yeah, Eco-friendly is a stretch.
I prefer sailboats myself. Better range. More fun.
The Labor it took to Build this Boat and to Supply the Materials gave Many People the Wealth it takes to Feed, School and House a Family. Let alone the income to afford to see a Dr. If needed and live a healthy life.

I ALMOST FAINTED....Looking at ALL THE BEAUTIFUL..... PLYWOOD...Just STUNNING.
Love this guy! I watch these all the time. We drink everytime he says teak!
This guy is the Bob Ross of Boat-Salesmen. He got some passion...but its hard not to love this boat.
Does anyone else want to see these “little ships” handling heavier sea states in these tours? If they’re designed to navigate seas.. I myself would like a preview 😉
Then buy it troll
@@davidblair6276 No, Ogre.
@@davidblair6276: Do you try on a pair of shoes before buy them? D.G. Rohrig asks a valid question. Only a fool would purchase yacht without knowing how it handles.
@@nerblebun I totally agree with you and it was a classless remark by D. Blair. I know the salespeople always boast about sea worthiness while detailing the boat at the dock or cruising on a flat harbor or inlet. The real test is the open ocean or rough seas, I want to know as well.
Where we go to see those videos??🤷♂️
I love the deep green hull coloring. Beautiful all around boat.
Richard's skills + beautiful visuals + dreamy theme music = chill-me MAX! 😊☺️😌
Lovely and awesome boat. It has Mercedes 225 HP engines x two, so 450 HP, so he wasn't blowing smoke on the boat's range of 3500+. Cruises at 9 knots or 10 miles an hour for best fuel consumption. In boats they don't say what's its mileage is, they ask how many gallons does it burn an hour. My dad's 43 foot boat, made of oak and was a Navy boat used for whatever and made by whoever was an excellent working boat for fishing after we made modifications to it.
My dad never found out its use, but was probably a ship to shore tender, but it burned 2 1/2 gallons an hour with his Volvo Penta engine from the 70s. At 11 knots or 12 1/2 miles an hour his mileage was supposed to be around 5 miles per gallon. Sounds good on paper, but doesn't take into account waves, waves up where you use more and waves down where you use less, but it doesn't even out. Going up wins and uses more than you gain going down. Then there is the current, are you going into the sea or following the sea and are you fighting a side current while fighting wind waves? Of course there is wind and current, plus a little wavering as you go. So that 5 mpg turned into 3 mpg depending upon conditions. Now, for a 43 foot boat getting 3 mpg was excellent. Not many boats of that size and weight can get as good of mileage.
The con side of it is you're going slow, simple as that. Also you don't want to be under-powered in bad weather. So you must have enough reserve power to fight a sudden gale and the waves that accompany them.
Off the coast of SoCal they have Santa Ana winds. I was at Catalina Island the first time I saw this phenomena and asked my dad, "What is that big brown cloud from?" My dad yelled all lines and anchor up! As fast as I could I winched the anchor up while he fired up the engine and we headed to the backside of Catalina. We had almost made it when we got hit with 45 mph wins frothing up the seas around us. We finally made it to the Lee side after forever, but was actually only about 5 minutes. If my dad's boat had been faster we would have beat it like all the speedsters did. That's when I learned to never take my eyes off the sea and wind, plus be prepared as best as possible for anything that could happen. Also, never buy an under-powered boat.
That comes out to right at 5 gallons an hr.
I would love to see a review of twenty year old trawlers for those of us that are retired and want to live on a $250,000 Grand Banks or other affordable boats
I think I missed the solid cherry wood. I’m going to have to rewatch it.
I don’t do boating all the time, but every time I do I just sit there and staring at different types of beautiful wood.
Mr. Evans not only shows wonderful taste in and knowledge of the boats he shows, he wears a Tilley hat;)
This is one of the best 60' boats that I have ever seen. The owner obviously has impeccable taste... as evidenced by the single malt storage vault. I would like to hear more about the mechanicals in future videos, and less about the wood, and how much the chair costs.
Absolutely love the boat! Thank you for sharing it with us!
Two happiest times in a boat owners life, when they buy it and when its sold.
D Gatch the folks buying this caliber of boat don't notice the money is missing. €1M toys separate true wealth from "rich" people. It costs a budget just to cruise these boats.
Sure some people get in over their heads, but the main reason you see true luxury yachts for sale is because the owners have moved up to better ones
@Edgar Daniels Truth...
@Do You Even Operate, Bro? they shure do. If they didn't they would of never gotten to that point. You have been watching to many movies.
@Edgar Daniels I agree, easier to get blood out of a stone than money out of rich people sometimes
@@crazyfroggie6546 well, wastefull people usually don't become rich.
As always, a wonderful tour and a gorgeous boat.
Love this gentlemen's presentation. Authentically original👍
me too, is a comercial but gentelmen and he just said facts that boat is a masterpeace
Baby toucher
Watch any of his other videos?
@@beerthug one other video I think a while bk. Its not just him it's also that boat its simply superb.....
@@Vikram-Bear Well , watch another one and tell me it's not just him...Or not
The gas fillers are recessed into a small tub to prevent spills - that is really eco friendly and we know people like that. You know what else is eco friendly, the owner personally bringing up all these exotic hard woods from the diminishing jungles of south America so he can have a unique floor to walk on in his yacht. VERY eco friendly.
But that floor looks amazing
@@theman3456 it does.
You should better know that it is better to buy tropical woods and give people with land a living then using it for farming.
Richard, in my opinion, your best M.Y by far, &also promoted in your excellent flair for quality keep up the good work I look forward to your videos
Your shirts and slacks are always so very well pressed; you don't see that a lot these days. It gives a very professional appearance. I want to buy every boat you show; hopefully I'll be able to get at least one!
Oh gosh, I can't get enough of them woods!!
OMG...fiddle wood? Can you believe it? Unbelievable, incredible just unreal.
Such a trawler could even compete with my sailing catamaran dream.
Yeah, you make great videos! Thank you!
Excellent job of showing a boat. Big fan of your videos.
Now this is an all weather trawler in my book
That piano sold the boat for me.
i watch a lot of videos on trawlers for many years, i've had boats from 8" to 110" but never a trawler per se. So while for health reasons I'm out of the market, I like to see these videos for the last 10 years. This particular video and you sir are the best I've ever seen. This is the best boat selling video ever. I watched it glued to the screen if we can say that. Your presentation was flawless and vby the end of the video I was sold on the boat for sure. The details of your narrative brought the boat to my level instantly and I felt like if it had been one of my previous boats, feeling totally at home and connected to the boat. Also the many details ont he wood, where it came from, etc. added a very warming touch to the sales pitch. Your presentation was also calm, very firm, and you were trusted 100%. Your word was gold in this video. I think this is a beautiful video and I'm putting it in my favorites folder. I also sent the link to my cousin, she is the marketing v.p. for one of the biggest companies in the US, I told her she needs to learn from you! :!. Thanks for such a beautiful video.
' =feet '' = inch Just so you know.
Sam how do you know if malanga13 didn't mean he had boats from 8" to 110" My fist boat was 8" when I was 1-1/2 years old.
malanga13 hell I'm 77 years old jump on it and take off and be gone for a year or two what the hell is wrong with dying doing something you love
Well said
Awesome yacht. The doggie station and single malt cellar sell it. Richard is the king, flawless delivery.
This man is generally your best salesman super cool video
Great looking boat with attention to detail, fit, finish & practicality - a genuine blend of good old fashioned Canuk Persnicketiness !
These blinds... They are just exquisite. They allow just enough sun through while still letting you see outside... Just marvelous.
Dude... They are blinds....
it's his job to make the mundane magnificent.
I would love that ship, it has everything.
I truly enjoy watching this Cat! His appointments and the right thing too say! Not like that British Pecker wood that only sells Muslim boats? No big deal we have known for years there traders and eat up with stupidity, not this gentleman, this cat is a cool as the ice burgs he sees every winter. This is the best show on the tube. Bravo! Bravo! Enjoyed your introducing us to the very best.
Richard, you gave the best CZcams Presentation on a boat I have ever seen. Makes me really desire that boat! Thanks!
Probably the worst tour I’ve ever seen
Sumptuous and sensible long-range cruiser.
Such a smooth professional salesman. My congratulations, Mr. Evans.
thank you for your kind comments.
@@calibreyachtsales Just keep up the excellent work Richard.
I love the green hull along with the cherry wood. So clean the boat house was a good investment.
Very nice ship. Other than the name on the table and the piano, it's perfect.
Waffling Willie! What a gibber! 🙂
He’s the Bob Ross of ship guides.
Richness of these wood, exotic woods, these hard wood, these cherry wood, morning wood.
He reminds me of Mr. Rogers, nice boat.
This dude is classy !! I bet you he always been!!
Mr Rogers boat show ! Luv it !
This guy show read children's bed time stories, he could have them a sleep in 5 minutes! I fell asleep watching this 6 minutes into the video!!
Nice man and boat, thanks.
What a beauty!
Beautiful is really his most commonly used word to describe the entire boat.
I love the museum-quality electronics in the pilot house.
Reminds me of the ancient refrigerator my aunt gave us when we got married. She bought a beautiful new one that broke down every other month and her old thing was like the battery bunny, kept going and going and going. So don't knock it Fazz.
The Mr. Rodgers of yachting!
I always enjoy the presentation by Mr. Richard Evans. I hope someday to have a Yacht like the ones that Mr. Evans has presented, and that comes from Calibre Yachts.
This guy is a VERY good presenter. He has style and grace and sells top of the line vessels. If you want a quick talking sales dude, go to a used car lot. If I had the money I would want him to show me some boats.. He knows his stuff.
And he knows his audience!
For sure & certain, this shade of green is by far my favorite color on a yacht.
Single Malt was completed by the owner. He has an amzing skill at fine finishing and the interior is incredible. What comes out is that he is doing it for himself. That is what really stands out when you look at the finishing. Are you interested in this one?
@@miksbc: Yes sir, I am interested in this particular vessel; however, not as a perspective buyer, simply an admirer. Having lived aboard my 42ft sailboat for ten years, and crewed while delivering yachts in my younger days, I've truly lived the old saying..."Boat = A hole in the water into which the owner pours money." Nowadays my money is spent purchasing land, and I've already seen most of the world. Thank you nonetheless.
Very nice trawler. Laid out nice, pretty inside. To those who criticize the host, you are only jealous. I bet anyone would love to have this trawler. If you were truly looking to purchase a yacht, you would appreciate the host showing all the amenities. You did a superb job of presenting this video. Thanks for sharing.
Best boat video ive seen and im obsessed with watching boat videos...great job....i will subscribe...
Thank you very much! We will keep adding more videos. So please stay tune :-)
I agree Ed, Unfortunately I live the east side of Canada or I would just about live at that boat sales.
Can anyone else sense a barely controlled, desolate, murderous rage deep within Mr Evans? He tries to ignore the urge, smothering it with thoughts of solid cherry cabinetry and teak decking, of complex curves and Portuguese bridges, but it always wins out in the end...
Before he knows what has happened, he's bollock naked except for a pair of hip waders, he's got a chainsaw in each hand and there's brutally butchered co-eds four deep on the cockpit deck!
"Complex curves!" he yells and runs howling into the night.
Happy Trees ; Happy Trees !
I think the lad has just been a YATCH salesman Too Long.
For a moment I thought you were being sarcastic but then I saw the bloody waders hanging on the overbuilt solid cherry coat rack, no veneer here my boy.
Imagine
Rob Ashton Incredibly written. I am trying to use this video as asmr, but I am crying laughing reading your comment instead.
Very nicely done
Thank you.If you would like to take a tour of the boat, please feel free to contact us :-)
That's my idea of a perfect boat for me, i'm impressed
@ Much better than chipboard Diggy.
I'm retired. I could live on this.
Sir! My compliments to you on the best boat show presentation I have seen to date! You made me feel that wonderful boat every step of the way,I'm sure you attracted a veritable queue of eager buyers🤔👍👍
Thank you very much for kind word Allan.
Really nice boat!!
If I had $5 for every time he said Cherry I could probably afford this thing.
Dale Case beautiful
Cherry!
@Dale Case: At least "cherry" is only one word. In his last video I watched the yacht had an extraordinary interior made from "Black Walnut" which he repeated approx every 5 seconds during a 30 minute tour. One thing is for certain, the man loves his wood.
Beautiful boat, well presented.
Couldn't agree more
A lot of things are always left out
Great presentation of an utterly magnificent vessel. The owner who commissioned her knows his stuff. The attention to detail and the extremely high caliber of joiner work is off the charts.
Thanks
Doom Boles a price
Nice. Nice presentation. Wish I had that kind of money to own this boat. Imagination and dreams are a wonderful thing. It allows you to appreciate the "what if?", even though, there is no if.
It is a nice Trawler. And it sold pretty fast for $1.4 million. This is the type of Yacht I would want because it's safer than most, and you can go a long way in it. 3500 nautical miles on a full tank and it only uses 4 gallons per hour at 8 to 10 knots.
Fantastic boat and one of the best presentations/walkarounds I´ve watched on CZcams (and I have watched the most of them) ;)
Are you serious now?
Baby grand aft anchor. But i am impressed with the boat, to the bottom with that dam piano.
That would make a damn fine spot for WB fireplace, or something else useful once you get rid of the piano.
Beautiful
I love it. It's absolutely perfect. 💯 literally a dream come true
Beautiful, ah... just beautiful.
Solid piece of video 👌🏼
R. Gutiérrez probably made from solid cherry lol
Isn’t he the best. This might be my favorite trawler. But I did find the windows in the state rooms a little bit oddly placed. What a perfect boat to take on the world tour. I for sure was not expecting the piano, nor the 600 gallon per day water maker.
Take a shot every time he says "isnt that nice"
Love the $12.99 kettle. I have the same in my cabin in the woods ;)
Beautiful boat. Look at this!
The boat design looks sound but the name and interior design is all over the place.
The Bob Ross of Yacht Sales 💖💖💖
Bwaahaaahaàaa... finally someone made the connection ..........! I'm laffing so hard I got a paintbrush stuck in my eye
I would love this mini ship!
Stunning
Thanks for sharing this magnificent boat and the very well produced video.
This guy is the Bob Ross of Yacht sales. He paints a picture that justs makes you want to buy anything he is selling...."isn't that nice?"
That’s really nice. Definitely my style.
What?! No Solid Cherry in the engine room???! I am appalled!
Look at the stringers. Lol
@@aquaticthumb5193 Right. Look at the stringers, but don't bother telling us anything about the engines, the generator, or make any mention of the deep freezer, or tool boxes in the lazarette. The boring history of the wood, and how much the chairs cost... no problem. lol
Mahogany piston sleeves.
heheh XD
@ Hmmm...
So, what are you saying exactly??
That he told me that as usual Calibre glossed over the features that people really care about because these salesmen don't know anything about boats or their customers???
In every video from this company that this pompous jackass makes he has some kind of a Freudian fixation on "wood" and he completely misses the technical aspects of the boat.
Love the boat, well built
Thank you for your comments. More videos comong!
I just happened up on this video, and the only thing that matches the vessel's craftsmanship is the man's presentation ability. It's almost intoxicating, and very natural.
Wow, Richard can tell me the wood is solid.
Very well made sales video.
Great boat and an even better broker. Well done!
Since he hasn't mentioned it, i'll just add that this is a Portuguese bridge.
Respect, Inspiring Joinery.
Richard Evans is very professional and does a great job.
